Provides effective real-time threat detection with potential for cost optimization
Some features such as device control, firewall management, and file analysis are standalone products that we need to purchase separately. If these features came out of the box within the product, it would be much more beneficial for us. Other providers such as SentinelOne include these features in their base product. We attended a CrowdStrike Falcon event where they discussed some shallow AI features, but we cannot see these in our panel yet. We work with different solutions such as Darktrace and SocRadar, where AI features are automatically displayed in our dashboards after release. However, for CrowdStrike Falcon, we cannot see these features.

Stable, good for malware detection and prevention
I use it for general endpoint protection and the usual stuff like malware detection and prevention It secures my environment.  One thing that could be easier is initiating scans. If I want to scan an extra drive, it should be more straightforward. It's a bit clunky. I have been using it for…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The machine learning behavior for anomaly detection is a valuable feature. It helps identify any suspicious or unusual activities within the system."
"I like the Overwatch feature the most."
"Easy to use, intelligent, and stable threat detection software."
"The real-time analytics aspect of CrowdStrike performs well because we get all logs in real-time, with no delay, allowing us to take action immediately."
"It has good features for threat detection."
"The platform is very scalable."
"Cyberattack detection is very good. We use it for detecting different vulnerabilities, such as ransomware, virus, and malware. It is a good product today when compared to Symantec that we used previously."
"We haven't had any infections or down time."
"It secures my environment."

Cons

"CrowdStrike Falcon could be enhanced by extending its security capabilities to include NDR and XDR."
"I believe nothing can be done to make CrowdStrike Falcon a ten out of ten, as I think it's one of the best solutions in the market. However, rating it a ten overall would imply there's no scope for improvement, but to survive in the market, changes must be made every day."
"The tool is more expensive than other products in the market."
"The solution needs to have integration with on-premises security devices and security facilities. That means all the security products, including the perimeter firewall, the DMZ."
"The new interface, the UI, seems a bit messy."
"As for stability, I would rate it around eight because last year they faced some downtime with around eight thousand computers, but it will improve."
"On the firewall management side, there should be more granularity. There should also be more granularity for device control. Everything else is brilliant."
"If we have a dashboard capability to uninstall agents, I think that would be great."
"One thing that could be easier is initiating scans."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"When it comes to licensing, customers can choose a bundle or select licences based on the specific features they would like access to. This solution comes with premium pricing. It is approximately 20 to 30% more expensive than competing solutions."
"There are three to four licensing models available to choose from for CrowdStrike Falcon. The price of CrowdStrike Falcon depends on the distributor and the reseller partner. The price we received was good."
"The solution isn't very costly; it's affordable."
"We bought a very small number of licenses, then ran it for a year. We bought a 100 licenses for a year, so we didn't actually do a proof of concept. We just bought them. Then, the next year, we bought 10,000 licenses."
"There are approximately a hundred different modules you have to purchase, depending on what you want to do. I have most of the modules. How it works is you buy the portfolio, you have to decide all the components you want in it, and then they price out a bundle for you. I have almost all of the package features in my bundle. You only need to pay for the modules you want."
"CrowdStrike Falcon offers excellent value for the money for our organization, particularly given our lean IT team."
"The cost is usually a challenge in the industry. I think we pay around sixty-eight dollars."
"The tool is a little bit expensive compared to other products, but I think it's okay owing to its quality."
