Email security effectively detects a wide range of threats and improves productivity
Since we have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for a year, we haven't encountered significant challenges. However, it would be beneficial if it could support other email security services beyond Microsoft and Google. Integration with other platforms would enhance its appeal since the features are commendable. While the analytics are commendable, they don't provide deep dive insights. They show the overall counts of malware, phishing, and business compromise emails, but there isn't a robust ability to dive deeper into those categories to see specifics. Analytics should allow us to explore which users received malware emails the most or trends among departments. Currently, we have to sift through manually, which is not ideal. A more profound analytical capability would elevate the tool to become the complete email security solution for any user.

Email defenses have reduced phishing impact and save our soc team significant investigation time
Proofpoint Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) should probably add something more into their case management process. There are certain things that Proofpoint lacks regarding case management. When incidents come in, it classifies a specific subcategory of what that incident is and creates a ticket for the SOC team. If they could provide more details on the type of incident filing in case management, that would be helpful. This is a hard ask because it requires some form of backend automation workflow. Many tools are starting to adopt their own automation workflows, which is pretty cool. Occasional mishaps arise related to users' devices affected by Proofpoint or when Proofpoint isn't logging specific device actions. The insider risk tool has been utilized effectively, which monitors employee actions every ten seconds, but there have been mishaps. Additionally, there are moments when specific servers require updates due to mismatched deployment updates, though this is not considered difficult because endpoint engineering counterparts assist, especially during Proofpoint calls.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The quarantine and release functionality for malware and junk mail is much more simplified than with previous products, and it has reduced effort in tickets and manpower not needing to do this for people who would have to normally put in a ticket."
"The feature I find to be most valuable is very much the zero-touch provisioning. I was able to be up, operational, and 100 percent functional in less than a half an hour."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is the phishing protection it offers."
"It seems quite scalable. We don't anticipate any scaling issues. We have it deployed in the cloud."
"It is very intuitive. It is a point and click type of deal."
"The most valuable feature is spam detection and phishing site prevention, which Microsoft couldn't catch, yet Check Point does."
"Machine Learning and AI for email security have helped all the organization's members to guard their information against insecure exposure."
"Getting reports and finding threats in the console is easy."
"Proofpoint adds value and proves its ROI based on the services they provide."

Cons

"Other vendor support teams go after fixing the issue the moment that they join the remote session. The problem that I have faced with Check Point support is that they share the case number with me, then it takes at least two days for them to join a remote session with us, even though we have asked for this timeframe to change. Even though we have already explained the problems that we are facing or the business pain points in our network on the call or email, we have to repeat the problem statements again in the console. It can take four or five days to resolve the issue from the moment they understand the problem. This includes the time to teach their R&D or internal team whatever the issue is. I have faced timeframes as long as seven to 10 days for fixing some issues."
"They could help us be integrating features with solutions from third parties."
"The product's pricing needs improvement."
"There is too much functionality, which makes it difficult to use. More guidance for users would be helpful."
"There is a need for improvement in handling business email compromise."
"Sometimes they do not provide immediate assistance, and it can take time for them to respond."
"There is a need for improvement in handling business email compromise."
"While Check Point Harmony Email and Collaboration offers useful analytics, there is potential for improvement in providing deeper insights."
"Proofpoint Email Data Loss Prevention (DLP) should probably add something more into their case management process."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is competitive."
"This is a very good product if you are on the cloud, but the price is a little more expensive."
"Due to its pricing, I would say that Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is more suitable for medium to enterprise organizations."
"The pricing is expensive."
"There are absolutely no additional costs to the standard licensing fees. One of the wonderful pieces is that CloudGuard SaaS is all-inclusive in its licensing. There's no a-la-carte functionality. You're getting 100 percent of the product for the licensing that you're paying."
"Reasonable cost, quick and easy implementation, and transparent."
"Being able to keep the phishing campaigns out of my company has been ROI for me."
"I rate the platform’s pricing a seven and a half."
