A great collaboration service for small organizations
The synchronization should be simplified. Other solutions like Dropbox and OneDrive have apps. I tried using the mobile version, but it didn't work properly, that needs to be improved. It was cumbersome. It's a good solution for a small organization like ours, but it really depends on your use-cases and the size of your organization. I had a very bitter experience with their mobile app. It was challenging to even download it and once I did, I wasn't even able to log into my system. The mobile app needs to improved for easy use.

Price and reliability need improvement while general tasks are streamlined
The pricing for Microsoft 365 is too high, and quality-wise, it does not meet high standards. The operating system is outdated and inadequate. Microsoft has very poor security, and Defender is ineffective. In terms of collaboration and file sharing, OneDrive is very clunky and has frequent sync issues. It also crashes a lot and is unreliable.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"This solution is great for inviting and sharing documents with other users."
"I'm satisfied with how they handle data, and the people there are very friendly."
"It has file storage, file sharing, a provisioning box, and a SharePoint profile for each user."
"It is a collaborative platform, so you can do everything in one place."
"Microsoft Teams, without a shadow of a doubt, is the best platform ever. It is also very stable with a lot of options."
"The solution is easy to use."
"I appreciate the mobility of this solution."
"It's painless."
"It is very good to use directly and it is a safe tool. You don't need to worry about data security or the loss of data."

Cons

"I had a very bitter experience with their mobile app."
"It should be more affordable."
"Microsoft Teams, which is a video conferencing, chat, and collaboration tool, has some issues with video codecs. It has really bad performance, especially on the Mac OS, and requires a lot of improvements. I'm using MacBook Pro, and the performance of Microsoft Teams is disastrous. It is really unusable. Given our subscription, we get Microsoft Teams for free, but we are often opting to use Zoom or some other tool because the entire computer becomes almost unusable. New age applications should be written in a way that ensures similar performance across different operating systems. I'm not sure how it works on Windows. I assume it works better, but Microsoft needs to ensure that the performance is really good. It should provide the same kind of user experience across different platforms. They can use more efficient development tools when it comes to applications. They seem to be using a technology that uses a lot of resources on our personal computers. I know that Microsoft is pushing a lot of applications to be built in the Office 365 ecosystem, but Microsoft Teams should be a focus because it is a collaboration tool. Its performance and usability need to be better, especially in the times of COVID-19. As a part of management, I use the collaboration tools and video conferencing tools for approximately five or six hours a day. Such issues have a big business impact because the management makes decisions about the tools that are going to be used within the company. SharePoint could somehow be improved or changed to match the features of Confluence from Atlassian. There is an opportunity to do some improvements there."
"The Microsoft 365 Business suite could improve by adding additional template-type tools. For example, if you specifically are creating a fillable form, there are times where I did not find the right type of template that I was looking for."
"They can improve its price and make the way of sharing documents more secure."
"It should have better pricing. It is a monopoly product for Microsoft, and I don't think they will change the pricing. They do not offer any discount."
"There are a lot of modules, for example, between Teams and SharePoint, that could be more transparent."
"In a future release, I would like to see what more Microsoft can do in terms of integration with other solutions."
"It could be more user-friendly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's cheaper compared to similar products available"
"We do monthly billing, however, I'm not sure what the exact costs are. We may pay around $1,000/month. We started using the Microsoft Teams and we've started doing the conference call feature, so that's another $4 an account and we have a few accounts using that right now."
"We purchase annual licenses for this solution."
"The License is on a yearly basis."
"The price is fine."
"The solution is moderately priced for what it offers."
"There is an annual license to use this solution."
"The licensing fees are paid yearly."
"The price of the solution could be reduced, it is expensive. We recommend customers purchase annual subscriptions because they receive a discount of two free months."
