Customizable with a self-service portal and a good security posture
Jamf Pro enables us to centrally manage nearly 1,000 Macs across multiple offices and US states, from optional installs that end users can implement at their own convenience, to mandatory applications and settings that must be enforced in a highly regulated industry.Jamf Pro is a critical part of…

Improves productivity and allows team collaboration in organizations
Previously, my company did not use a unified communication tool. For unified communication, my company started to use Microsoft 365 Business. My company used to use technology like Slack for team collaboration. My company used to use local products to manage emails. My company had a totally different license for Office 365. Microsoft 365 Business was chosen by our company as a solution to combine everything. My company does not use a similar technology, like Microsoft 365 Business. In general, my company improved by moving away from disintegrated technologies, and now we are able to integrate different technologies using Microsoft 365 Business.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The design of the GUI, as compared to other solutions, really makes a difference."
"We have been able to successfully manage applications and inventory within our machines."
"The full API lets us write custom scripts and apps to enhance even further the end-user experience."
"It is a great tool. Its ease of use is fantastic. It is very simple, and you don't really have a high learning curve with this."
"I am most excited about a feature that is called User-Initialed Enrollment."
"The Smart Groups have been very beneficial for quick reporting when a critical, out of cycle patch is required."
"The most valuable features of Jamf Pro for me are the device locator, which helps find missing iPads, and the ability to remotely manage and disable devices."
"Configuration Profiles from Jamf Pro are awesome."
"Microsoft Business 365 is quite stable."
"Microsoft Teams is most valuable. It is a great product, and it has really been very valuable for us during the pandemic. It enabled good collaboration. Even after the pandemic, we will continue to use Microsoft Team in our organization. They are continuously improving the product, which is a very positive thing."
"Offers very good versatility."
"The most valuable features I have found with Microsoft 365 Business are the functionality and the ability to utilize Excel to put together an in-depth analysis that could be shared."
"Microsoft 365 Business is easy to use. Most companies use Microsoft Windows as an operating system making the use of this solution straightforward. There is a small learning curve and it is something everyone can adapt to easily."
"The solution allows for easy collaboration. You are able to use, for example, Excel and go online to the cloud and save your documents offline rather than on a personal hard drive. In my organization, we promote collaboration when possible and this solution does a good job at providing this functionality. The solution is always updated and we receive the latest features. Additionally, they offer many other services we do not use very much but are available, such as Power BI."
"The solution is easy to expand to accomodate multiple users."
"It is easy to deploy and do the settings. It has also been stable."

Cons

"I would love to see more integration with ASM and ABM."
"I would like to see either a report section or an integration with a new reporting module to allow us to pull real metrics from the system easily."
"In some places, GUI could be more reactive."
"It would be nice if Jamf added an onboarding tool integrated into Jamf Connect during the automated DEP enrollment workflow. It would also improve the user experience if Jamf integrated native macOS notifications, with the option to interact within the notification center."
"I think it would be best if Jamf had support tiers."
"It will be very helpful if we could restore users after they have been removed from Jamf because I have some cases of deleting a computer before unlocking it."
"It would be nice to be able to search smart groups and/or filter them."
"The integrated patch feature is good but needs some tweaking."
"Outlook doesn't sync with Google Calendar."
"For the past six months, I have been facing a synchronization issue between the calendar of Microsoft Teams and the calendar of Microsoft Outlook. In Microsoft Teams, I can't see the updated version of some meetings, but Outlook shows the updated version. There is a problem with data synchronization between the calendars of these applications. Both calendars should be synchronized."
"The security features and the engine they are using are not good enough. They are not able to protect you from phishing attacks, which is the biggest drawback of this solution. We have been getting phishing emails, and I have been chasing Microsoft every single day. In terms of configuration, all the controls that they have recommended are in place, but we are still getting a lot of phishing emails. I would like to see a feature that allows us to share a folder from an online archive, which is a sort of mailbox attached to the primary mailbox. Currently, you can share folders, contacts, and calendars only in the primary mailbox. You can't share any folder or other things from the online archive. The limit of the primary mailbox is 50 GB, whereas the online archive is unlimited, so it would be useful if we can share a folder from the online archive."
"It should support the local language. It should also be cheaper."
"The tool should improve its interface."
"The enterprise version should only contain enterprise features and not other items that aren't business-related items."
"They should simplify breakout rooms a bit. Breakout rooms are probably the most important factor. They have done some work on breakout rooms, but they probably have to do a bit more to make them simpler."
"The technical support need to improve, I have had bad experiences."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"With respect to pricing, Jamf Pro is the better bet."
"The price of a training pass for five people was $18,000 USD."
"Don’t go into a sales call without knowing all the details of your system because Jamf has a ton of tools outside of Jamf Pro to offer and knowing them ahead of time is a must."
"It seems fair. It could be a little bit less, but you have to pay for a product. You can't get something for free. You get what you pay for, so if you put in a little bit of money, you're going to get a good quality product."
"I think it pays for itself to let Jamf host the server."
"The price difference between Jamf Pro and VMware Workspace One is not very much, but when counting the cost of my time, Jamf Pro is clearly much better."
"JumpStart looks a little bit pricey; however, it is worth every penny."
"This product is surely worth the cost of implementation."
"It is slightly expensive, but it doesn't have any hidden costs. You know what you're going to spend, and you get a decent ROI on it. It has subscription-based licensing. It helps you to figure out the amount of money that you would spend based on how many mailboxes you would require in a year, which makes it better as compared to a mail server for which you need to consider the licensing cost and the maintenance cost."
"It is expensive, and its price can be better."
"It could be a little less expensive."
"The licenses are available for a fair price."
"Microsoft 365 Business is inexpensive."
"The solution is not very expensive."
"The licensing costs are not expensive."
"Its price is what you would expect today from a software-as-a-service offering. It is somewhere around $10 per user per month."
