Collaboration works seamlessly and automation supports efficient file sharing
I work as a software engineer in fraud prevention projects where I function primarily as a data engineer. I work with data warehouses, which are centralized storage systems where transactions through databases occur and data from various client sources is consolidated. Amazon WorkDocs can be integrated with AWS Lambda and used with step functions. If publishing with SNS, WorkDocs can subscribe to SNS as well. The integration capabilities of WorkDocs with other AWS services are strong. For access, we use Okta with our AWS account, and we can only log in through our laptops. We authenticate and access whatever services we are authorized to use from the company. Mobile access is not allowed. On a scale of 1-10, I rate Amazon WorkDocs an 8.

Email collaboration and accessibility have improved team productivity
The valuable features include the email service, email updates, and Google Drive. People are given email access to Google Drive. The team can share manual files and work accordingly. They can access different teams from anywhere, collectively putting files, sharing them, and managing them. Additionally, the manufacturing product does not require any downgrades. It works fine and continuously for the last three or four years. Users can access their emails from anywhere in their browser without a laptop or can directly access from Gmail. This is helpful for salespeople.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"For content sharing, it provides automation features that can be customized according to needs, which are some of the best features that I appreciate."
"This solution is great for inviting and sharing documents with other users."
"The valuable features of this solution are ease of use, performance is great, and collaboration. It is very easy to share and joins documents."
"The valuable feature of Google Workspace is its integrated environment where everything is pre-integrated, like chat and document sharing in Gmail."
"We find Google Drive and mail useful for our services."
"The most valuable feature of Google Workspace is the sheets and documents."
"The solution's technical support is very good."
"Extremely reliable, providing great collaboration features."
"The solution is very stable."
"The security and privacy policies of G Suite make it efficient, and the organizational data is secure."

Cons

"The auditing features of Amazon WorkDocs have not helped meet compliance needs."
"I had a very bitter experience with their mobile app."
"Some people complain that Google Mail is inflexible. It was advanced 10 years ago, but other solutions are cleaner and clearer."
"Their tool called Sheets is the counterpart to Excel but it doesn't have the same functionality that Excel would have. So usually if somebody needs to go back to Excel or Office, it's because of Excel."
"I find the price high for the full suite features. Compared to Exchange Online, the price might not be too high, but you cannot choose only one functionality. When you buy Google Workspace, you have to get everything, including file storage and communication tools, which I don't use."
"There's a bit of a learning curve."
"Google Workspace has limitations as a document or file management system. Without a workspace account, manual actions are required to perform tasks such as managing groups of people. Additionally, managing permissions individually is a time-consuming and inefficient process. It's difficult to articulate, but the process is not very streamlined."
"Improvements to G Suite would be the ability to collaborate more easily and better quality video compression in Google Meet."
"The solution could always be more secure, although that doesn't affect me so much."
"In the next release, I would like to see more encryption of documents, mail, and things like that. There should be a better way to encrypt mail and documents that are pushed through this system. That would be some improvement or additional features that could be good to have."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's cheaper compared to similar products available"
"The pricing is comparable, it's pretty decent."
"The pricing of Google Workspace, so far, has been reasonable."
"Pricing is something concerning. We find the solution very expensive."
"The price of the solution can vary."
"There are several areas where a G Suite implementation can reduce costs: lower license fees than some competing products, reduced hardware, and IT support costs."
"The price of Google Workspace is reasonable. I pay less than 100 a month."
"Approximately $6 per user, per month."
"We pay on yearly basis."
