Easy to figure out how to use, has a simple integration, and detects issues and vulnerabilities by priority level
    Pros and Cons
    • "The best feature I like about CloudCheckr CMx High Security is its simplicity. I love that it's not rocket science to use the solution. Even if you're not familiar with the cloud, you can easily figure out how to use CloudCheckr CMx High Security. You can use AWS, you can use Azure, and you can use GCP with the solution because the integration is quite simple. You can also use multi-cloud with it, and you could see the billing part. You'll have complete visibility into your cost which I love about the solution. I also love that data on any security issues and vulnerabilities are available on the go with CloudCheckr CMx High Security. You don't need to do anything different. Just run the scan and you'll have all these open findings in the tool, in terms of the priority level, so if it's critical, it will tell you, "It's critical," and you need to fix it right away."
    • "What needs to be improved in CloudCheckr CMx High Security is integration. All the clouds are going quite fast, for example, all the cloud providers: Microsoft, Google, etc. CloudCheckr CMx High Security is good with AWS, no doubt about it, but with Azure and Google Cloud, I find that the solution is slow in that direction. If the vendor planned for CloudCheckr CMx High Security to be automated just for AWS, then it does make sense. If not, if the vendor is also targeting good integration with Google and Microsoft, then CloudCheckr CMx High Security integration needs improvement, in particular, it has to be faster. At the moment, its integration with Azure is not as good as its integration with AWS. With GCP, integration is nowhere."

What is our primary use case?

We are a managed service provider, and we were looking for a product that could give us clarity in understanding the billing and security aspects of our customers' cloud. We have a lot of customers on cloud infrastructure, so we needed a tool that could help us identify the open vulnerabilities and issues from a security perspective for all the clouds. We needed a single dashboard where we could check what's going on and what's wrong in terms of the security and billing aspects, and CloudCheckr CMx High Security provides us with all of those.

    What is most valuable?

The best feature I like about CloudCheckr CMx High Security is its simplicity. I love that it's not rocket science to use the solution. Even if you're not familiar with the cloud, you can easily figure out how to use CloudCheckr CMx High Security.

    What needs improvement?

What needs to be improved in CloudCheckr CMx High Security is integration. At the moment, its integration with Azure is not as good as its integration with AWS. With GCP, integration is nowhere.

What I'd like to see in the next release of CloudCheckr CMx High Security is from a security perspective because I've been working on independent security tools as well, so the future roadmap should include all the different kinds of compliances and vulnerabilities. Think about it from a FinTech company's perspective where there are different kinds of compliances around the data, infrastructure hardening, etc. If CloudCheckr CMx High Security could include all that, and it would have everything in terms of security in just a single solution, that's what I'd like to see in the future.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I never found any issue with CloudCheckr CMx High Security in terms of stability. I didn't even notice any downtime. For me, the solution has been stable, so far.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

As my company is a managed service provider, it uses CloudCheckr CMx High Security with a lot of customers. More than sixty customers are using the solution, and I never faced any issues in terms of the solution becoming slow, not working, or hanging. It's a pretty scalable solution.

How are customer service and support?

I never had any issues with CloudCheckr CMx High Security, so I've not been in touch with a technical support engineer.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

My company decided to use CloudCheckr CMx High Security rather than a different solution because it's the best in the segment. In terms of flexibility, particularly on AWS, it's a perfect tool, and you don't need to worry about it at all. The functionality you're getting out of CloudCheckr CMx High Security on AWS is on another level, and none of the other tools could provide that. You can check any competitor, but CloudCheckr CMx High Security on AWS provides a lot of value.

    How was the initial setup?

The initial setup for CloudCheckr CMx High Security was quite simple. It was straightforward. Deployment took less than two hours. It was pretty fast.

    What was our ROI?

I'm seeing ROI from CloudCheckr CMx High Security. It's worth the money, no doubt about it.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

A license is needed to use CloudCheckr CMx High Security, but because we are a managed service provider, the price of the license would vary. It depends on the type of cloud users we have, for example, it would be some type of percentage or monthly billing, etc.

What other advice do I have?

I'm currently using CloudCheckr CMx High Security. I'm using the SaaS product and that's the latest version. It's deployed on the public cloud, particularly on AWS.

My company has different teams using the solution, and the number of users of CloudCheckr CMx High Security is around eighty, at the moment.

My advice to someone who wants to use CloudCheckr CMx High Security is that it would depend on the use case. If you are on AWS, you don't need to even think about it. Just go ahead with using the solution because there's no better tool in that segment than CloudCheckr CMx High Security.

For CloudCheckr CMx High Security on AWS, I'm rating it a ten out of ten. My use case for the solution was mostly on AWS plus GCB, but on Google Cloud, it doesn't give much value. On AWS, it's really good.

My company is a customer/partner of CloudCheckr CMx High Security.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Fair pricing and a straightforward setup but slows down when it's dealing with large datasets
    Pros and Cons
    • "The initial setup is straightforward."
    • "The solution needs to work better with larger capacities of data."

What is our primary use case?

I primarily am using this for multiple customers on Azure and AWS. I use it to do the monthly billing, optimization, and other stuff like that.

    What is most valuable?

One of the most useful aspects of the solution is to be able to get my monthly snapshot and get the monthly invoicing. I'm able to customize the invoicing, based on the requirements we have.

I can use this solution for doing site recommendations and other similar tasks.

CloudCheckr is filled with useful features, that help us learn and to deliver the best recommendations on the data we have.

    The initial setup is straightforward.

    What needs improvement?

CloudCheckr can be very slow sometimes. It's tough to extract or, rather, it takes time to extract information when the data itself is large. It's also slow if you're trying to do multiple things at once. The solution needs to work better with larger capacities of data.

We'd like more sizing data. Right now, we only are able to check CPU. Recommendations should be driven based on performance data beyond just CPU - such as memory, DevSkyOps, etc.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using the solution for two and a half to three years or so. It's been a while.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The stability so far has been very good. We haven't witnessed any bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It's reliable for the most part.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution can't seem to successfully handle large amounts of data. If you have too much information, or you try to execute too many tasks at once, the system slows down by quite a bit.

I'm not sure of how many of our staff are actually on the system or have access to it at this time.

How are customer service and technical support?

We've dealt with technical support in the past. They're good. We're satisfied with the level of service we're provided. They seem to be knowledgeable and helpful.

    How was the initial setup?

We've found the initial setup to not be overly complex. It's pretty straightforward. We didn't face any issues or roadblocks.

We have an internal team that handles maintenance.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing of the product is fair. It's not exorbitantly expensive. We believe it to be quite reasonable.

What other advice do I have?

We integrate this solution for our clients. I'm not sure if we have a specific business arrangement with the solution, however.

I would recommend the solution to other organizations. It's a good tool, for the most part. For billing and invoicing for class optimization, and tasks like that, it's quite useful.

Overall, I would rate the solution at a seven out of ten. I'd rate it higher, were it not for the performance issues we've experienced when dealing with bigger amounts of data.
