I have been using Dell PowerEdge C- Series for quite a long time; I would say around seven to eight years.

When it comes to the main use case for Dell PowerEdge C- Series, it is generally used for high-performance computing for running complex scientific simulations or risk assessment, and I would say it is also utilized for AI and deep learning because it's a very workload-heavy server. In our case, we use it for our VMware HCI deployments, where highly dense hardware is used for HCI.

Regarding a specific example of a project where I use Dell PowerEdge C- Series for VMware HCI deployment, we have used it for our hypervisor VMware HCI deployment, where our mission-critical workload is deployed on this PowerEdge server.

I have something else to add about my main use case for Dell PowerEdge C- Series; it's mainly for HCI purposes and to run mission-critical workloads so that they are always up, and I would say it's mainly for maximizing compute density and thermal efficiency for parallel workloads.

The best features Dell PowerEdge C- Series offers include a high-density, multi-node architecture, where the port density is very high, and we share a very effective or efficient shared infrastructure.

Regarding how the high-density, multi-node architecture and port density have benefited my operations, I can definitely say that it eliminates network latency by packing up to four dual-socket nodes into a 2U chassis, which clusters the computer hosts closely together, enhancing node-to-node communication over a high fabric such as 400 GB or InfiniBand, which is critical for parallel tasks. Also, the massive throughput via port density means each node utilizes dedicated fast PCI Gen 5 slots and network cards instead of sharing a bottleneck backplane pipe, giving individual server nodes their own direct maximum bandwidth link to the top-of-rack switch. I would say it provides zero downtime maintenance; if a hardware component fails in this C- Series server, a technician can hot-swap or slide out the specific server sled from the rear of the rack, which drastically reduces downtime. Implementing unified bare-metal automation is also very useful, where administrators leverage Dell iDRAC and OpenManage to treat the multi-node chassis as a single and modular pool of compute.

I would like to add that the management and operational benefit includes the zero maintenance feature I already mentioned; if any component fails, the technician can hot-swap or slide out the specific server sled from the rear of the rack, and the unified bare-metal automation allows administrators to use the iDRAC and OpenManage to treat the multi-node chassis as a single entity.

Dell PowerEdge C- Series has positively impacted our organization; due to hardware reduction, we have significantly decreased the infrastructure capital because a single 2U chassis houses up to four independent server nodes, effectively reducing the number of physical racks, PDUs, or the top-of-rack switch we need to buy. This also results in a lower utility bill since the shared power supply and fan design eliminate energy waste from individual low-end servers. Consolidating four servers into one enclosure reduces cable expenses, and optimizing performance per watt with factory-integrated direct liquid cooling allows facilities to run high-voltage, high-core processors at maximum performance without overloading air conditioners. Higher resource utilization is another benefit due to the multi-node setup that drastically reduces racks, and the uptime is improved because it provides near-zero downtime during maintenance, allowing maximizing uptime and accessibility by facilitating truly hot-swappable serviceability. If a motherboard or CPU node fails, technicians can slide the specific server sled out of the back of the rack for servicing, and it's all automated fleet management where our team uses Dell OpenManage and iDRAC to push security patches and BIOS updates across multiple nodes, eliminating human error that could lead to outages.

Regarding how Dell PowerEdge C- Series can be improved, I would highlight a couple of areas. While it's excellent for dense and scale-out workloads, it isn't perfect for every scenario, and the complex I/O and component upgrades pose challenges since each server node is compressed into a narrow removable sled, making physical space inside the node tight. Replacing components requires pulling the entire node out and dismantling the protective casing. PCI expansion is also limited compared to standard 2U single-node servers such as the PowerEdge R700 series, which can hold up to eight PCI slots. Dell PowerEdge C- Series typically supports only two to three slots, restricting the addition of multiple specialized network interface cards. Finally, the initial capital expenditure is heavy; acquiring a PowerEdge C chassis and its multiple sleds requires significant upfront commitment, making it less cost-efficient if you need one or two nodes now, as you generally need to commit to the ecosystem upfront.

I have been working in my current field for over 10 years.

Using PowerEdge servers helps reduce unplanned production downtime; it has achieved near-zero downtime degradation, reducing downtime by about two times compared to five years ago, totaling an 85% reduction.

We previously used the same solution, which remains on-premises.

Deploying PowerEdge servers consistently reduces total cost of ownership for any organization; typically, it delivers an approximate 20-40% reduction in overall cost compared to legacy hardware environments. Specific reductions include 20-25% baseline infrastructure savings; for dense, multi-node setups such as the C- Series, organizations save around 20% on both upfront capital and ongoing operational spend by leveraging shared chassis infrastructure. Over a three-year lifecycle, transitioning to the modern PowerEdge platform yields TCO savings of up to 40%, with long-term operational savings frequently reaching 30-40%.

While I don't have exact metrics right now, I can share approximate values. Dell PowerEdge C- Series server delivers measurable gains in high-density environments, with an estimated 20% reduction in total cost of ownership and up to 53-55% better cooling performance compared to standard rack servers. High density reduces hardware acquisition costs since we purchase fewer servers now. The price per wattage is 300% better because the C6615 node specifically demonstrates a 300% improvement from price-to-performance per watt compared to standard single-socket servers. Energy and cooling efficiency stands at 50-55% improvement, with a 30-60% reduction in cooling energy. In terms of performance and density, you can fit up to 8,960 cores in a single 42U rack using C nodes, compared to approximately 4,400 cores using standard 1U racks. There's also about 33% lower latency and 11 times faster write IOPS.

On a scale of one to ten, I would give Dell PowerEdge C- Series an eight out of ten for high-performance computing and massive cloud scaling and cutting-edge data sensitivity. I choose eight instead of nine or ten because while I've mentioned multiple reasons earlier, I see nine or ten as representing a flawless, universally applicable product. Although Dell PowerEdge C- Series excels at high-density computing, it has major compromises that prevent it from achieving a perfect score. Unlike a 10 out of 10 server that can be deployed anywhere, the C- Series isn't suitable for small businesses, branch offices, or standard retail environments due to its extreme noise and specialized power or cooling requirements. Also, there are maintenance headaches, as upgrading basic components necessitates pulling the entire node, opening a cramped casing, and disrupting physical rack layouts. Lastly, missing a higher score highlights a lack of flexibility—if a business needs to add multiple PCI accelerators, external network cards, or massive storage to a node, the C- Series runs out of room.

When evaluating Dell PowerEdge C- Series' AI capabilities, I believe governance and security cannot be separated from the physical hardware since large-scale pipelines introduce new operational vulnerabilities including data poisoning, reverse engineering, and data leaks. The architectural approach to security for a multi-tenant, ultra-dense scale-out infrastructure focuses on isolation, cryptographic integrity, and compliance visibility. A significant highlight is the silicon root of trust, where each C-series node contains a silicon-based anchor that cryptographically verifies the BIOS and firmware authenticity upon booting, preventing threat actors from installing persistent rootkits. Dell also provides cryptographic verification to ensure hardware components haven't been altered or intercepted during transit.

The benefits from running AI workloads on PowerEdge servers include fast model training times, lower operational costs, and near-zero data transmission latency. Real-world benefits include massive speed gains in time to value, where purpose-built models such as the PowerEdge XCI accelerate deep learning training up to 8.4 compared to older generations. Advanced cooling architecture, such as direct liquid cooling, lets high-voltage GPUs run continuously at peak speeds while decreasing cooling power drawn by up to 60%. Another advantage is ultra-fast data feeds for RAGs, where high port density and PCI Gen 5 architecture deliver data from local NV drives into the AI model with up to 32-33% lower latency.

Dell PowerEdge servers have positively affected the overall flexibility of my operations; they allow us to build highly flexible hybrid cloud environments, avoiding a single provider lock-in that leads to expensive setups. We use PowerEdge to seamlessly shift workloads between our local data center and public clouds such as AWS or Azure, enabling us to keep sensitive data on-premises.

I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.

Dell PowerEdge C- Series has strong features including easy implementation and configuration, and it consumes less power compared to other devices.

It has reduced unplanned production downtime because it is reliable and trustworthy hardware. In our infrastructure, almost 90% of Dell products are being used, from switching to firewall and server to storage.

Dell PowerEdge C- Series reduces the total cost of ownership compared to other solutions, and Dell always has a cost advantage over other products.

The main area for improvement in Dell PowerEdge C- Series is the booting time, as when we power on, it takes time.

I have been using Dell PowerEdge C- Series for almost five years.

There is no impact from using Dell PowerEdge C- Series because we have already been using multiple Dell PowerEdge devices in our on-premises infrastructure, and there is no challenge. It is a reliable product, and in the last five years, only one or two incidents happened, which were not major incidents. One of the power supplies went down.

The flexibility of operations is enhanced as we are using Dell infrastructure. Being in the travel domain, every engine, ticket engine, software and application has been hosted on Dell infrastructure only. Servers, even though we are using a virtual environment, handle many transactions, almost 10 to 15 lakh transactions in a day used by our clients. All applications are hosted on Dell infrastructure, so we have good faith in Dell support and Dell products, which is why we have also recommended Dell products to our clients.

Dell has given a special discount for that purchase and the support is always a positive factor from Dell's side. We got instant support whenever it was required and the Dell team is always there to help us.

I would rate the technical support of Dell as 10 out of 10.

I have worked with Sophos also, specifically the Sophos firewall. We have used the firewall 2100 series in HA.

I have been working with on-premises versions. It was quite easy to deploy an on-premises solution, and even though we have the support provided by Dell, if any technical challenge arises during implementation, it is not so complicated.

The deployment took approximately two to three hours.

I was part of the implementation team along with the engineers, and the Dell team was there, and the Dell channel partner team was there for configuration. My technical team was also part of that team. Three team members were there from my side participating in deployment.

From an AI workload perspective, we have not implemented any AI tool on that. It is a simple tool we are using. Business loads have obviously reduced and it is cost-efficient to us. We got a discount from the Dell team which also reduces the financial burden, so overall experience from Dell is always good for us.

I purchased from Dell directly. Dell has given a special discount for that purchase and the support is always a positive factor from Dell's side. We got instant support whenever it was required and the Dell team is always there to help us.

I have given some references to some colleagues who want to purchase new Dell products, and I have provided them the reliability of those products. Pricing is always good compared to Cisco and other products.

We are not a partner, but being an enterprise, we are using Dell products for almost 15 years, so we have a good relationship with the Dell team because 90% of our infrastructure is Dell only. I am interested in being a reference for Dell. My overall review rating for this product is 9 out of 10.

I have been using Dell PowerEdge C-Series for at least five years.

I use Dell PowerEdge C-Series extensively for scalable workloads, including machine learning, AI, big data, and cloud computing in a hybrid environment. I also use it for hosting applications.

In my case, I have applications that need to be hosted in the cloud and connected to the cloud but also need internal communication with on-premises servers. I use Dell PowerEdge C-Series for this purpose because it is highly scalable and offers fantastic performance with Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs and high-speed DDR5 memory. I mainly use it for bidirectional communication between an application that is in the cloud and requires information stored on this server. This is a hybrid environment where the application is in the cloud but queries various information such as databases and other data that are on this server.

I have fully on-premises servers and also a private cloud. I have another Dell PowerEdge C-Series server that is used as a private cloud.

What happens in this case is that I have an application that is hosted on AWS and consumes some resources from this server that is in this private cloud. In this private environment, which in this case is a relational database, I have an application running on an AWS ECS service that scales EC2 instances, and I have an internal server sharing information like a database that the application constantly uses.

Dell PowerEdge C-Series servers have compatibility with high-performance NVMe SSDs, support for hardware and software RAID, support for GPUs and other accelerators. They have good energy efficiency and power management, as well as advanced management features.

It offers high compute density and is designed for scalable workloads with Xeon processors that are suitable for running high-performance applications. There is also advanced management with iDRAC, which is phenomenal. I can see if there is any issue on the server or any point that needs attention. There is also high availability and simplified maintenance. I can hot-swap disks and power supplies. There is built-in enterprise security by default, such as Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, cryptographically signed firmware, Secure Erase, and other features that are ideal at the enterprise level.

With iDRAC, I can see the temperature the server is running at in that moment. I can see if there was any kind of physical intrusion on the server, such as if it was opened improperly by someone in IT without prior alignment. I can see if it is showing any kind of problem with RAM or with the disks. I can monitor events that occur on the server itself. I have complete management, and iDRAC allows me to have full control of the server. It is an outstanding card that comes integrated and is phenomenal for IT administrators.

I can run LLM models on this server, for example using relatively small models. I have already run some tests and can get very good performance and deliver very good results.

Maintenance downtime was reduced precisely because it allows highly efficient hot swap. I can make replacements of disks and power supplies more quickly without necessarily having to completely shut down the server. I have gained in both reliability and availability.

If I say it affected me, it would only be positively. I have been able to have greater resilience, a higher level of service delivery, and I managed to solve several problems that I had before with older servers.

The main issues are the acquisition cost, which is really high, and when it is necessary to replace parts, the cost is also a bit high. I think there are points for improvement in support as well.

What was missing to reach a perfect rating is exactly the high acquisition and maintenance cost of these servers.

Cost is really a sticking point. There is a relatively high cost, both for acquisition and for licensing some Dell software, such as the paid iDRAC licenses. I believe the cost, depending on how I use it and the workload I need, is worth it. However, I cannot forget that it is, in a way, an expensive solution.

I have been working with infrastructure technology for more than seven years.

My previous server was assembled piece by piece. It was a server that was built component by component with the case, motherboard, processor, memory, and disks all purchased separately, and they were mostly low-quality parts. I was demanding a lot from it, which created bottlenecks and unexpected outages. Disks would stop working, and the motherboard sometimes had issues or incompatibilities, even with updates that were applied and forced me sometimes to downgrade versions. There was a series of problems with that previous server, which had been built piece by piece.

In terms of scalability, I have to consider how much the application will scale over time. When purchasing a server, I plan how much my application will grow each semester or year. In general, Dell PowerEdge C-Series servers offer great scalability. I can upgrade them, and I have that flexibility with relatively low time required to perform upgrades. When acquiring a server, I must consider how much I expect that application or database to grow over time, and based on that and considering the acquisition cost, I choose the best model or specifications to meet my needs.

Support is good. I believe there are points that could be improved, but overall it is good support.

Time savings were one of the main benefits because before I had legacy servers and a lot of downtime and unavailability. That affected both the internal team and customers. Once I decided to invest in Dell PowerEdge C-Series, I began to have much greater time savings for the team due to fewer unplanned outages. I also had higher customer satisfaction and higher satisfaction among internal employees. I saved team time and, in a way, money, because every unplanned outage has a cost, even if only reputational.

Looking at the medium and long term, there is a return on investment. There is a curve where, as time passes, that initial acquisition cost is diluted. Obviously, every month that goes by, that cost is diluted and reduced, and the gains keep increasing. Compared with other types of servers delivering what this server delivers, it was the best option. I estimate about a 10 to 15 percent reduction, considering other vendors delivering the same level or basically the same level of reliability, availability, support, and performance that I have with these servers.

Dell PowerEdge C-Series is already a Dell server, a globally recognized brand that offers high reliability. Dell support meets my needs perfectly. The server offers high performance, so it meets the workloads that are put on it. I have already used Dell PowerEdge C-Series for other applications and it performed perfectly. It delivers excellent performance with very good reliability. The cost is a bit high, and I cannot ignore that the acquisition cost of these servers is somewhat high, but depending on the workload I will run and if I have the budget, I believe it is the best choice.

I focused directly on Dell because I already knew their enterprise line, so I did not actually evaluate other options. It was really my first choice.

I have two Dell PowerEdge C-Series servers, as I mentioned. One is located on-premises and another that I use as a private cloud. In terms of energy efficiency, they do have power-saving modes that meet expectations. Energy efficiency levels are very good overall with what Dell delivers.

The best advice I can give is to evaluate your workload, the application you need, everything you need, and based on that and how you expect that application or database to grow, choose the best model that will meet your needs. You must do a proper analysis so you do not size a server far above what you need and end up overpaying, nor choose one that is too small and causes your application to suffer from bottlenecks, unexpected outages, and exceptions.

I would rate this solution a 9 out of 10.

Dell Data Protection Suite and Dell PowerEdge are products I have mentioned. Dell PowerEdge rack-mounted servers are used in our environment.

We used different models, including PowerEdge R670, R450, R550, and R660XS. We used different models as part of Dell PowerEdge C- Series.

It is not the T-Series. I believe it is Dell PowerEdge C- Series. I am not certain and need to verify this.

We were using Dell PowerEdge C- Series a very long time ago, for almost 10 years. I am familiar with these products and have been familiar with this product for the last five years.

Regarding the server implementations with Dell PowerEdge C- Series, we do not find any issues. With respect to storage or backup-related issues, we do find some difficulties and we approach Dell support for their guidance on that part.

We typically use Dell PowerEdge C- Series for our workloads in virtualized environments, such as an ESXi host on VMware infrastructure, as well as on a Hyper-V host for the Windows virtualization platform. These two are the main virtualization platforms we use in our environment where we utilize the majority of these servers along with Dell NetWorker as the backup solution.

We have not implemented any AI-related workloads yet on Dell PowerEdge servers. I think we purchased one server for AI modeling recently, but we have still yet to explore the capabilities.

I do not recall exactly what the best features in Dell PowerEdge C- Series are, but overall the interface and usability are quite easy. The features such as the lifecycle controller and the OS installations were straightforward to implement.

Using Dell PowerEdge C- Series provides overall flexibility and consistency in managing the workloads. We are satisfied with that.

With respect to storage or backup-related issues, we do find some difficulties and we approach Dell support for their guidance on that part.

We are looking for a capability from Dell to detect the corruption of the backed-up data. For example, in the recent past, we experienced a few OS corruption issues in our environment, and when we tried to restore the servers from the backup, the restored servers also had the same corruption issue.

We were using Dell PowerEdge C- Series a very long time ago, for almost 10 years.

I do not see any regular issues coming up from Dell PowerEdge C- Series. Even though we run them on the virtualized platforms, they are quite consistent, and we do not find many issues with respect to hardware. The support from Dell is also good, and we do not find any issues.

We have never had any unplanned downtimes using PowerEdge servers. The hardware has the strength to handle the workloads, and we are satisfied with that.

Overall, my thoughts about Dell support in general are that it is very good, and we have never faced many challenges. However, sometimes we experience a lack of response. The response time is somewhat long, and we expect a faster response time. That is one area where improvement is needed. The rest of the support appears good, and we have never faced any challenges with them.

For backup, we were exploring options from the backup solution. We are using Dell NetWorker along with Dell Data Domain. We have both virtual editions as well as the physical box.

I am not really working on Dell solutions such as Dell VxBlock. My counterpart in the US is working on some items related to VxRail. We are not looking to implement any of that solution in our environment.

The deployment of Dell PowerEdge C- Series does not require a couple of days. We only face certain issues with network connectivity, which will take some time to establish. Apart from that, the server racking and configuration will take a few hours.

I do personally participate in the deployment of Dell PowerEdge C- Series. I used to do it, not on a regular basis, but I did perform it. I also coordinate with our MSP provider to perform certain tasks from their end.

One person can deploy Dell PowerEdge C- Series, and we do not need many people or much staff to deploy it.

There is no return on investment or cost reductions in the long run after implementing Dell PowerEdge C- Series. The problem is we were using this product for a very long time and we never used any other product such as HP or any other products. We do not find that ROI or use case. We have been using this product for a very long time, and whenever there is end-of-life hardware, we used to procure new hardware to replace it. For example, I mentioned Dell Vertex, and now we have replaced Dell Vertex with a different solution.

We mostly use on-premises deployment only.

For backup, we were exploring options from the backup solution. We are using Dell NetWorker along with Dell Data Domain. We have both virtual editions as well as the physical box.

We are looking for a capability from Dell to detect the corruption of the backed-up data. For example, in the recent past, we experienced a few OS corruption issues in our environment, and when we tried to restore the servers from the backup, the restored servers also had the same corruption issue. That leads to backup inconsistencies where we were not able to identify which backup was in a healthy state, and we were looking for a capability from Dell to detect the data corruption after backing up.

My overall rating for Dell PowerEdge C- Series in general is an eight.

The majority of our ownership costs are borne by our MSP providers, so we manage very little with Dell PowerEdge C- Series.

We are using Dell PowerEdge C- Series for our database processing as well as data warehouse systems. Oracle database is running on this system, and our Tableau reporting analytical systems are also running on these systems.

The processing power and computing power are very good. Even with the Xeon Gold processor, it is performing very well without any issues. After migrating to these servers, we reduced the number of cores or CPUs from our infrastructure level. However, it is still not reaching the threshold limit of CPU usage.

The bandwidth handling capability as well as computing capabilities are excellent. Day by day, Dell is enhancing and releasing new models and new Dell PowerEdge C- Series systems with new computing capability CPUs from Intel. These types of compatibilities are getting evaluated, and I am keeping my eye on that aspect so that when new technologies and new areas emerge, we can buy new hardware to migrate and host our other applications.

Dell PowerEdge C- Series advanced security features are noteworthy. My applications are running without any issues, without any hacking or data leakage. Our security team and gateway firewall teams are always concerned about security, and I have peace of mind. Of course, Dell PowerEdge C- Series security features are helping us improve that.

The hardware design is getting more and more powerful day by day. Whenever Dell releases new things, it is getting compatible with our different types of Gold, Platinum, Intel Xeon, and AMD type of CPUs. Dell PowerEdge C- Series handles L2 and L3 cache capabilities, caching capabilities, memory computing capabilities, and the NVMe RAM type also improves performance. The OS level hardware also has this type of NVMe type of high-speed storage implemented on that hardware. The hardware is getting improved day by day.

Dell PowerEdge C- Series storage is used in our data center, but I am not concerned about that because it is not used in my division. Although I am part of that organization, in my division, I am not using that.

I have not utilized the advanced thermal management solutions of Dell PowerEdge C- Series.

I am not using that type of particular tool, but we are using a specific monitoring tool where the CPU and memory with our user load are monitored. In that way, I am monitoring the systems. Maybe that tool is not sufficient, or there may be another advanced tool available from Dell PowerEdge C- Series for efficiency measurement. Currently, we are using a few HP tools to monitor continuously the systems, system IOPS, systems network bandwidth, CPU, memory, and processing capabilities.

We have been using Dell PowerEdge C- Series for five years now.

We are using the BL series, specifically the ProLiant BL460 as well as Dell PowerEdge C- Series R760 with Gold Xeon processor.

Technical support is mission-critical support type, and we are getting very prompt support. Although we had HP support from other vendors as well, the support here is not less, but better support is also being received from Dell. If any issues we face, immediate solutions are being provided. The prompt support with mission critical response and on-site visits are coming on priority and within a little span of time, the issues are getting resolved.

We have been working with XtremIO, which already was outdated. Nowadays, we have a write-off of that. In place of that, we have brought one solution that is again more powerful, which is PowerMax 2500.

I cannot say exactly how much pricing I am paying. It is based on what type of demand we have. However, of course, that is also very less. If we go for any other hardware from Oracle or any other vendor, compared to that, it is very cheaper.

Other technologies are there. I am from one particular division in ITC. Across all divisions in our data center, our databases, and throughout our organization, we are using Dell servers for database and Oracle database. With Dell Xeon processor, specifically Xeon Gold processor, we are using Dell hardware. That is also working fine for us and very, very nice. Performance-wise, its computing power is very nice.

We are using a data center where across all divisions, we are using many different series. Not only single series are we using, but we are using many. For our divisions, we are using very specific series where computing power is very high. We started using Dell hardware a very long time ago. We have been using Dell PowerEdge C- Series for more than four to five years now, and it is really giving good performance.

I did not evaluate Dell PowerEdge C- Series storage, but PowerMax storage, which has the high IOPS capabilities, is what we are using. The snapshot type of backup within a fraction of a second is being taken. This is done without overloading our application sides and areas. In old systems, taking the backup took time, but here, the snapshot takes a fraction of seconds. Due to this backup capability, additional load is not there in our PowerMax storage.

The hardware design is getting more and more powerful day by day. Whenever new things are being released, it is getting compatible with our different types of Gold, Platinum, Intel Xeon, and AMD type of CPUs. Dell PowerEdge C- Series handles L2 and L3 cache capability, caching capabilities, memory computing capabilities, and the NVMe RAM type also improves performance. The OS level hardware also has this type of NVMe type of high-speed storage implemented on that hardware. The hardware is getting improved day by day.

Whenever we need Windows environment, we can install Windows on that same hardware platform as well as Linux. SUSE Linux, Red Hat Linux, or whatever flavor we want is supported. If we have one application which we want to install on Red Hat Linux, then we can use the same Dell PowerEdge C- Series to install the OS Linux. If we need some Windows platform, then we can also install Windows 2019 or whatever version may be needed, such as 2023. The flexibilities and adaptability are there. Even virtualization can be done. Based on our requirement, we can create the virtual environment and virtual machines. That capability also is available. Dell PowerEdge C- Series is a contemporary solution and the best solution. Overall, I would rate this product a nine out of ten.

I appreciate the reliability, as they perform exceptionally well and we never experience any issues with them. Their cost is favorable, the management is straightforward, and the performance is excellent, so we really value that.

Using Dell PowerEdge C-Series does affect the overall flexibility of our operations positively because we use it for our main virtualization stack. The fact that we have standardization everywhere makes it easy to move our workload from one location to another as we want. This provides much greater flexibility. We can build and then ship it there over the network, which works very well.

For Dell specifically, I would say they are losing a little bit of the edge in consumer relations compared to what I see around the industry. I know they are focusing a lot on AI, but we are losing the connection with Dell. This makes it somewhat more difficult than it was 15 years ago when we had many representatives. It is challenging to get information if I don't have a partner. It is difficult to get the right specifications for what we need, the ETA, and everything.

I have been in the industry for around 23 years.

It helps us because our IT department is centralized in Montreal, but we have factories all over Canada. Remote management capabilities and the ability to have someone go directly to a location if we have a problem provides significant support value. That is why it helps us.

It has helped reduce unplanned production downtime. When I compare with other factories that we purchased over the years, we did reduce the amount of unplanned downtime by around 40 percent.

I am satisfied with my experience with the pricing setup, cost, and licensing process. We use our partners, and over the last seven years, this has been beneficial. I have been dealing with Dell for a really long time because at a previous position, we were one of the big customers of Dell. Over recent years, it has been good that we have a partner that helps us.

The customer service and technical support is good, but sometimes it is tough to pass the first layer. We are quite technical, so we know what we are doing. Sometimes the first layer is a little bit difficult.

I have used all the PowerEdge models that they offered in the past, EqualLogic, and other series that were there before. Personally, with different jobs that I have had, I have been with Dell for 20 years. So I have seen many different products.

I have seen a return on investment with Dell PowerEdge C-Series. They are much more powerful and can manage our workload better.

We are not running AI workloads on it yet, but we are starting to explore that possibility. We are in manufacturing, so we are never on the front of the line. We are always following the trend, but we are not the early adopter.

We are always in remote locations, we are not in big centers, so electricity is pretty important, specifically with our factories. I would say with the new servers, when we started to do a little more refresh, we saw a decrease in energy requirements. Our UPS was able to hold longer, and our generator performance improved because unfortunately, we had a lot of power outages in our area.

With energy consumption, we are already air-cooled, so they are generating less heat. For cooling purposes, it definitely helped. We don't have a big stack in our data center, it is still quite small because the servers are distributed all over the place.

I gave this review a rating of 8 out of 10.

My main use cases for those products involve engineering different products with Dell PowerEdge.

I think Dell PowerEdge can be improved by adding hot-swappability, which has been on my mind. I do not think it is really a hardware restriction but more of how we handle that in software.

Dell PowerEdge C- Series is a hardware server installed in my organization. I use it as a hardware server installed in our data center, and we are running our Active Directory and file server for our organization.

The best features that Dell PowerEdge C- Series offers are that this hardware is very good for use, and I have been using it for the last three years without encountering any issue, such as hardware issues or anything else. This is the best hardware I think for servers.

The reason why this hardware is so reliable in my experience is that it provides the best performance, and we are not getting any unexpected shutdown or unexpected crash of any component of this server.

Using PowerEdge servers has helped to reduce unplanned production downtime because my old server was taking a lot of downtime due to hardware crashes. After this server installation, I did not get any crashes, so it saved a lot of time.

Regarding Dell PowerEdge C- Series's AI capabilities, I think its governance and security are very good.

My impressions of PowerEdge servers' impact on my organization's sustainability goals are positive because previously we were using an HP server that would crash hardware repeatedly, resulting in downtime. In every two to three months, we would experience hardware failures. Since we changed to Dell PowerEdge C- Series, we have not encountered any downtime or hardware crash in the last two to three years, which has been very helpful for me.

Before Dell PowerEdge C- Series, I checked the data sheet of HP and some other models of servers. Upon comparing data sheets, I found better price and features from the Dell series, and that is why we selected this.

I estimate that the downtime was reduced by 100%.

My advice to others looking into using Dell PowerEdge C- Series is that if you are looking for long, reliable hardware for your data center to store any type of data, you can go with this series. This series is very stable hardware that will boost productivity, and you should definitely consider it. I would rate this product a 10 out of 10.

I have been using Dell PowerEdge C- Series in my company for more than 10 years. One hundred people are using Nexus 9000 in my company. I consider my local area network to be medium-sized for just 100 people, and not high when considering the overlay technology in Nexus. The benefits of my local area network features come from using Dell PowerEdge C- Series. I have a file server and print server for the normal use of my work facilities.

All features for the local area network, including domain controller, DHCP, DNS, and even VLANs, have been the most valuable features I have found.

HP servers are also very suitable.

I just have Cisco switches, such as Cisco XDR and Secure Access, and Cisco Duo. I have one Cisco router and also have Cisco switches and routers. I do not work with Cisco Meraki products. I cannot remember the version of my Cisco switches, but the current switches are very suitable for me, and I am not familiar with the Cisco Nexus 9000 series.

I have been working with the Cisco Nexus 9000 series for three years. I just use a normal policy, not the advanced policy-driven approach in Nexus. I do not utilize the high-density interfaces for Ethernet. The integration with Cisco DNA has not facilitated agile network management for me.

I did not use any metrics when evaluating the effectiveness of Nexus 9000. The product has been stable and easy to use. The pricing is very high because it is a very high technology device. I cannot rate Cisco Nexus 9000 overall because I did not use it. I have just normal switches as a matter of fact. I did not try the Cisco Cloud Services Router at all.

I have a rack-mounted server, which is Dell PowerEdge. I am familiar with Dell PowerEdge C- Series. I do not have advanced security features, just normal features for my local area network. I have not had any idea about whether the compute capability has benefited my organization's data processing tasks. My experience with Dell PowerEdge C- Series is very good and positive. I do not have any idea regarding the room for improvement in Dell PowerEdge C- Series.

I consider the price of Dell PowerEdge C- Series to be medium and just suitable for me. I am still using HP in addition to Dell. I think rack-mounted servers are better in my opinion when comparing HP servers and Dell PowerEdge C- Series. HP does not have any advantages over Dell PowerEdge C- Series. I am not using them for different purposes. The deployment was easy, and I did not have any difficulties. Dell PowerEdge C- Series is on-premises. I think AI technology must be included in the future as an additional feature I would like to see in Dell PowerEdge C- Series to make it even better.

I would rate both HP and Dell technical support at seven out of ten. The charge for support is very high regarding the price for support. I would rate this review overall at eight out of ten.

My typical use case for PowerEdge C is as an application server.

The best features of this solution are that it's easy to implement and manage. I assess the balance of performance, flexibility, and scalability provided by this solution as good.

Regarding customization options, they are very open for customization. We can customize as per our requirements with the Dell PowerEdge C.

There are a few bugs in PowerEdge C that require some configurational settings to be done with the help of a support team when we reconfigure the solution. This is one area where they can improve the performance of the server or implement some application improvements in the solution to make it easier for end users to implement properly.
