Our major use case is virtual systems backup as well as file backups.

The centralized management dashboard helps with team efficiency as well as handling security tasks. The product also includes an AI-based anti-malware feature. It effectively helps us with team efficiency and managing security tasks.

Support could be improved, and awareness is important.

We work with Check Point exclusively. CloudGuard is on a WAF, which is a cloud-based Check Point WAF. We sell Harmony Email, Harmony Endpoint, Harmony SaaS, and perimeter firewalls such as Spark and enterprise grade perimeter firewalls.

I do not work with the patch management feature. Our review rating for this product is 9.

We are a distributor of cybersecurity and IT solutions. I am responsible for Acronis development in our country. We use both Acronis Cyber Protect On Prem and Cyber Protect Cloud.

The user interface is the most valuable feature for me because I can manage backups and teams in one console. It is efficient, allowing control of multiple agents and other cloud workstations from a single console. 

Additionally, the centralized management feature is beneficial, as it simplifies license management and central control. AI functionality enhances malware and threat detection by summarizing vulnerabilities, providing engineers with a direct idea about what needs to be covered.

I would like to see more mature XDR and EDR features. 

Additionally, for backups, I would like more replication options beyond the current VMXI replication. Specific areas also need improvement, and there is potential for further development.

I have been familiar with Acronis Cyber Protect for about six or seven months.

The technical support by Acronis is quite satisfactory. Their expertise and consulting are very good, especially for Indian business. They generally respond within one day. Although I did not use their support service very much, I have had a few incidents, and they handled them well.

For backup purposes, I used my own script method. The first product I used was Acronis.

Additionally, I used OneDrive and Google Drive.

In India, the pricing of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is relatively low compared to other competitors. It is well-suited for tech companies and institutes.

Acronis is highly capable and versatile. However, if a customer needs archival processing and video storage, Acronis cannot perform those tasks within its console. 

I would rate the solution eight out of ten due to room for improvement in some areas.

We use the solution for backup purposes.

The solution is reliable and relatively easy to use.

We are forced to purchase space in Acronis' private cloud, which is expensive. When you clean the registry, the tool no longer recognizes things like drives. Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is not an easy product to manage.

Cloud solutions nowadays should allow customers to use everything, not just their private cloud service. You cannot do just a cloud backup because it would be a second copy. When you choose to do a cloud backup, you have to do a backup on a physical local drive anyway. It's not that you can do just the cloud backup.

I have been using Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud for around eight years.

I rate the solution’s stability a seven out of ten.

I am the only person who uses the solution in my organization.

The solution's initial setup is complicated. The solution's installation takes around one hour. If it does not work properly, you have to review the installation. I was the only person involved in the solution’s deployment.

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is an expensive solution.

On a scale from one to ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap, I rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten.

We chose Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud because it was the most famous and reliable solution ten years ago. Now, some other products are basically at the same level. I try to do regular maintenance for the solution.

Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.

We use Acronis Cyber Protect for antivirus.

It's for the whole infrastructure. It's basically for every endpoint. It's an antivirus solution.

There are a lot of benefits. We can block certain ports and USB ports for data loss prevention. We haven't had any cyberattacks. I think the signatures are pretty up-to-date.

Some proactive alerts or emails would be helpful. I don't think that is currently available.

I have been working with this tool for almost a couple of years now.

We are almost ready to acquire ManageEngine Endpoint DLP Plus.

We have a lot of tools. We currently use Acronis Cyber Protect and are looking at zero trust file transfer tools. We have hands-on experience with some tools and are continuously upgrading our infrastructure and security tools.

We started with Acronis. I think we had McAfee before I joined, and then we switched to Acronis. We are okay with it.

Price and features were the main reason you decided to go with Acronis. It is good value for the money.

It was simple to deploy. It's on every endpoint, so it took about a week or two.

It's a very basic solution that we need to have in every system. We can't really measure it in terms of time-saving or something like that.

Acronis is a good value for money.

For SMEs, I would recommend this tool. For small and medium enterprises and startups, I would recommend this tool. Enterprise is different. 

We would have to go with something else like SentinelOne. But for SMEs, Acronis is fine.

Overall, I would rate it an eight out of ten. 

We use the solution to back up our SBO database.

We can use the tool to set up an automated backup from our on-premises server directly to the cloud. We can schedule when we would like the backup to happen, such as after office hours. We can specify the time that we need to run the backup. The solution has a user-friendly interface.

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is an expensive solution.

I have been using Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud for a couple of months.

It hasn't failed me yet. I have been checking all the backups almost every day. Since we are set to have a backup every day at 6 pm, I check it the following morning. Whenever there are power outages, the tool still runs the backup.

I rate the solution's stability an eight or nine out of ten.

Less than ten users use Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud in our organization.

I faced some issues with the solution's two-factor authentication. The solution's technical support is very good, and they were able to resolve my issue.

The solution’s initial setup is straightforward.

The solution was implemented in a couple of days. I designed the solution's backup plan and deployment and rolled it out myself.

The solution is a bit expensive, but it's worth the price.

On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a seven out of ten.

We mainly use Acronis to back up our main database for our SBO or SAP database. We do not use it to back up files because we have an on-premises server to do that. I would recommend the solution to other users because it's reliable and hasn't failed me since I started using it. Although the solution is pricey, we can justify its price to our bosses.

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is very user-friendly, easy to use, and easy to set up backup. Its backup schedules are amazing.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

One of my clients needed backup software, and Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud comes as an all-in-one tool. Through the policies, we can choose backups alone, backups with antivirus protection, or even enable endpoint detection and response. 

Once the policies are published, we monitor the clients in safe mode to ensure compliance and receive notifications on the web console. On the user's machine, there's no real interaction; it runs in the background unless there's a notification. Everything else is managed on the web console with extended alerts.

We can manage alerts either on the console itself or through an RMM tool.

The biggest benefit is that everything is transparent to the end-user. It just works in the cloud without any interference. However, I haven't had to test the antivirus features in a real-world scenario, so I am not sure whether it's good enough or lacking.

Acronis's update process impacted workflow efficiency:

The update process is quite efficient. They send admin alerts one day in advance when updating data centers or products. On the end-user side, everything is transparent, and updates don't impact them at all. It only affects admins, who need to be prepared in case something goes wrong. In my experience, nothing has gone wrong.

The support team is intelligent and quick to respond to any questions or difficulties.

The backup itself is quite good. One client was backing up about a terabyte of data, and even with a 100 Mbps line, there wasn't any noticeable bandwidth overuse. 

It backed up during the day and has a continuous volume backup utility, similar to Windows Server Shadow Copy, but it automatically picks up file changes without disrupting the client's work. It works very well and simultaneously.

On the client-side, the antivirus engine was slowing down their finance server terribly. It seems the client was identifying Windows Defender as an administrator and trying to scan it while people were working. If they can improve that, they'll have a better product and a better experience for end users.

At this stage, I think they have a complete service with backup, antivirus, and patch management. I wouldn't add anything extra now, but I suggest more testing in all scenarios to improve product quality.

It has been more than six months now. 

I would rate the stability a seven out of ten. Everything works well except for the fact that the anti-malware slows things down. If it weren't for the anti-malware, I would give them a ten. 

Every other aspect has been tested, and it hasn't broken down at all. There was no need for me to troubleshoot, so I didn't find any issues.

Acronis products do get acclaim because it's quite feasible.

I would rate the scalability a ten out of ten because it's quite usable. We just load whatever users we need, and the tool automatically adjusts the pricing according to the number of users. 

Whether you want to scale up or scale down, it's feasible. You enter the information in the Cyber Protect Cloud console, and it does everything in the account. It's linked with licensing as well. 

Currently, it's five users on my side, but we just moved to Linux and are in a bit of a dilemma because Acronis hasn't fully supported Linux yet. My client was using it for about 50 users, but due to internet issues, he decided to wait and see until their environment is fixed.

They're quick to get on board, but in my case with the anti-malware, they couldn't suggest anything other than to switch it off. That's what gave them a negative rating.

I have experience with Fortinet, SonicWall, Acronis Backup, and Nextiva Backup, and I will be working with a cybersecurity solution as well. They offer antivirus, email security, and EDR.

The deployment is quite straightforward. You basically install an agent or client on the machine or device, then connect it to a user account. From the cloud console, you create a policy and publish it. It was all really really straightforward. 

The only challenge I had was a problem on one client's machine where everything slowed down after the software was loaded. I logged a call with Acronis, and the problem resolved itself, but I never found the root cause.

Deployment time: It shouldn't take more than an hour, depending on the end user's availability. As soon as you load the client, it connects to the cloud within a minute, and then the machine is protected and licensed. So it doesn't take long.

Maintainenance: It's straightforward. Most things can be done by one person unless there are many clients having issues at the same time. Then you can use remote management tools to log in and see what's happening. But on the web console, one person is more than enough.

Cloud-provider: I use AWS, but on the client side, they're using a direct connection to their data center.

My clients have the assurance that their backups are safe and secure and can be restored at any time. The antivirus is also a bonus, as they don't have to worry about using another product.

It's relatively cheap, but you see the benefits more at a higher volume. If you're just doing a small amount of backups, you might end up paying more than what you're using. 

Like in my case, I pay for the full license, but I don't even use 50% of the available storage. There's a threshold you need to reach before you really see the benefits.

I would recommend it a 100% if you know what you need. 

If you don't know, I'd give it a six out of ten because it slows down some machines. More testing is needed.

In our company, we wanted some backup copies to be in the cloud somewhere outside of our data centers and users, because of which we decided to go with Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud for the very important data for the servers in our company and to have a copy of backup, while we did not care at the time for a fast restore functionality since we wanted to only ensure that the data backup was successfully done while seeing to it that the key users of the product also get the same benefits. Our company has 10 TB of data combined from different servers and some key users within our organization to ensure that we always have a backup copy on the cloud.

I love the solution for a number of reasons. Firstly, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud provides my company with an unlimited number of licenses and software products on the local area network, which no one in the market is offering apart from Acronis. If you buy 10 TB on the cloud, Acronis gives you free licenses on the cloud. Suppose you have an increasing number of users in your organization, and you need 12 to 15 TB on the cloud. In that case, Acronis gives you the option to have another copy on the ground, and such software on the ground is free of charge, which is beautiful and impacts the product's scalability features. The moment you decide some users to be on the cloud, it is easy, but it will take time, and it is meaningful for the product to take some time with the process. With only a click, you can have another copy for some users from the ground to the cloud.

The shortcomings in the solution can be overcome if the product improves in the area of completion time so that the restoration process does not take much time. In general, think that the completion time should be improved in relation to the data so that less time is needed to restore the data.

The product already has some security features present in the solution, and I expect them to be made a part of the package offered by Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, for which the prices may be increased, and they should not be just given as an add-on option for a user to choose. Either the product should be secured and protected, or it should be protected.

From an improvement perspective, I feel that it would be better if the security features were offered as an inbuilt feature in the product and not as a part of an add-on offered with licenses.

I have been using Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud for five years. I use the solution's latest version.

Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Including the key users and servers, there are more than 100 users of the solution in my company who are the solution on the cloud. All the machines use local backup on the ground storage.

As a backup, the product is extensively used in my company.

I have experience with the technical team of the product, and I feel that they offer good support. The technical team of the product is knowledgeable and fast to respond.

The product's initial setup phase needs some skills, but once you learn to do it by yourself, you won't need any support.

The deployment process involves first defining the account and then assigning and installing all the agents on all the Machines you want to deploy the solution on and then selecting whether you want the backup to be done locally, on the cloud, or both.

The solution is deployed on the cloud.

One or two people who operate as admins or engineers in the company are needed to take care of the product's deployment and maintenance.

During the first deployment process, my company had to do some planning, and now we are handling the deployment process all by ourselves. The product was sold to my company by consulting, but it does not really have many technical issues. The ease of deployment of the solution is one of its nice features since you don't need to be technically strong to take care of the deployment process.

I think it is very hard to see an ROI from the use of the product since you always feel safe as you have a backup copy of your data stored securely somewhere else.

It is not a cheap product. It is very hard to describe how important it is to feel the data. You have a backup with the solution, probably somewhere outside your data center. I cannot say whether the solution is expensive or cheap, considering the features that are provided.

I highly recommend the solution to those who plan to use it. Those who plan to use the solution should check all the features of the solution and ensure that all the security features are enabled in the product from day one. They should also try to negotiate to get a free license from Acronis for the ground storage.

I rate the overall product a nine out of ten.

It is primarily for the backups of the company's servers and for the backup of some critical workstations.

I also use it for personal use and manage it for the clients I provide services to.

Its integrated cybersecurity capabilities have improved the security posture. Before Acronis, we used different security vendors like ESET, Avast, Avira, and Webroot. After switching to Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, it found threats inside the systems that the previous software did not recognize. We thought we didn't have any malware, but actually, we did.

The backup, the vulnerability assessment, and the anti-malware capabilities have been most impactful for data protection.

Acronis approaches cybersecurity holistically, focusing on five key pillars: 

1. Protection
2. Detection
3. Response
4. Recovery 
5. Forensics

It covers the need to block threats, investigate incidents, and ensure disaster recovery. This approach aligns well with current cybersecurity trends, including backups and deploying Malware Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems alongside Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) systems.

While it doesn't yet include features like password management or security awareness training for end-users, Acronis has announced plans to integrate those in upcoming updates.

There's always room for improvement. However, I follow Acronis's announcements closely. They've already released MDR (Managed Detection and Response), Advanced EDR, and announced XDR and security awareness training for end-users. So, Acronis actively improves the product.

Moreover, I keep submitting a request for more flexible reporting. I'd like to create custom reports in my own way, rather than just combining the pre-defined modules.

I have been working with this product for the past five years, the whole suite of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud.

I would rate the stability an eight out of ten. Acronis did mass updates with new features and bug fixes. This caused some instability in the previous months. 

I would rate the scalability a nine out of ten. In the organization there are 140 users rely on it for patch management and monitoring. We also cover around 60 servers with backup capabilities.

I use quite a few products from Acronis, including Acronis Cyber Protect and more. Since, I am a service provider, I use the whole suite of  Acronis. 

The whole platform is very easy and quick to implement. You install the agents on the machines – if there are multiple machines, you can use push installation for mass deployment. 

Then, through the console, you see all the machines and add them to protection plans together at the same time. In less than four hours, you can have the agents set up, protection plans applied, and the software actively protecting the client's machines.

So, it's very quick to start onboarding clients. Afterward, you can implement more advanced configurations, which might take a bit longer.

I can safely claim that within a year, we fully recovered the money we invested in the solution and its licensing (the cost of the software) costs. We saved significantly in several ways:

• Data Recovery: Quickly restoring files accidentally deleted by developers.
• Downtime Prevention: We also experienced minimal downtime, just a few minutes, because we maintained the solution. 
• Threat Protection: The solution blocked a lot of attacks against our servers, like RDP exploits or malware-laden email attachments. Since these attacks were blocked and no data was lost—thanks to a lot of backup options—we were able to restore everything. Had any of these incidents resulted in data loss, it would have cost us thousands of euros, far exceeding the initial investment.

So, it's worth the money.

The product is not expensive. It's in the middle. For its capabilities, it's on the affordable side. 

People might find basic backup solutions that are cheaper, but they lack the features and expandability of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. It's best to compare apples to apples. 

Overall, the pricing is logical and affordable, particularly given its scalability and modular design.

I would recommend using it one hundred percent! 

I'd emphasize the importance of disaster preparedness. You need a "next-day" scenario – that means backup and disaster recovery with historical data. Acronis fully covers that. 

To avoid a lot of bad situations like ransomware, malware, and accidental data loss, you also need proactive measures. That's where Acronis's Advanced Security features, email security, patch management, vulnerability assessment, and monitoring come in. By using the whole console, you maximize protection, keep systems updated, and have that critical next-day recovery plan. 

Even in physical disasters – floods, fires – having offsite disaster recovery through Acronis can mean the difference between business continuity or losing everything.

So, my motto is always be prepared. Proactively protect your systems and have backup and disaster recovery in place. In the worst-case scenario, cloud disaster recovery is your lifeline.

Overall, I would rate this product a nine out of ten.

We primarily leverage the platform for data storage, including email backup, Microsoft 365, SharePoint sites, and OneDrive. Additionally, we use it for cloud workload backups encompassing workstations and internal drives. This cloud-based solution eliminates the need to maintain on-premises servers, with all backups scheduled and automated according to our reporting requirements.

The most valuable aspect of the product is its focus on security, which is crucial given the prevalent threats like malware. The product offers standard features comparable to other solutions like Veeam and other OEMs. From a security standpoint, it provides robust protection to prevent system crashes and data loss.

While we use the product to perform daily backups, restoring them from the cloud server often takes a significant amount of time. This delay becomes critical, especially when management requires timely information from end users at the backend level, necessitating repeated attempts to retrieve backups from the cloud services.

We have been utilizing Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud for approximately a year now.

The platform has generally been reliable for our needs in terms of stability. Recently, there was a minor disruption, and I couldn't access the backup selection URL for about a day. However, I promptly raised a ticket, and Acronis resolved the issue swiftly. Since then, I haven't encountered any further stability issues, and the backup tool has been functioning well.

The product is scalable. we benefit from unlimited data storage without incurring additional costs, which is advantageous for our storage needs. When it comes to scaling workstations, such as laptops with specific data sizes like 50 GB, additional costs may be incurred based on the required storage capacity. This involves adjusting quota limits to accommodate storage demands, which hasn't posed significant issues for us so far.

While we haven't directly engaged with Acronis for support, our partner has been responsive in addressing any issues or queries that arise.

Setting up Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud was not complicated for us. It involved a straightforward configuration process: We installed small client software on our laptops or desktops. For cloud-to-cloud operations, there was no need for additional setup on our part; everything was handled online seamlessly. We've been using this software for about a year without encountering significant issues from a deployment or solution perspective.

As for the return on investment since implementing Acronis, our primary focus has been on enhancing security rather than achieving significant cost reductions. In today's environment, cybersecurity is paramount, and maintaining up-to-date security standards across all devices is crucial. While we haven't quantified specific cost savings, the efficiency improvements in data protection and security management have been beneficial.

The integration of cybersecurity and backup features in Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is straightforward and seamless. It involves installing a single client software on laptops or desktops for endpoint protection. For cloud-to-cloud integration, setting up involves providing the necessary credentials to establish synchronization and automated scheduling. Once configured, there's minimal need for manual intervention unless adjustments to schedules are required, which require authentication for authorization.

In my opinion, it is a good choice for other companies depending on several factors. It's essential to evaluate how well it meets the specific needs and requirements of the company in question. For instance, considering the advancements in AI tools and other modern technologies, it's prudent to compare Acronis with other solutions available on the market.

I rate it a seven.

We needed a multi-locational backup solution for our offices, factories, and various locations. Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud was a good fit because it's user-friendly for our team.

It's not 100% trouble-free, but we haven't had major issues. Sometimes there might be a patch or an update needed for the data center, but the updates are provided quickly, so the server support is good.

So, we've had some troubles with the data center.

We haven't tried the disaster recovery feature yet, and I'm not sure about their backup support. We were very comfortable with AXA. Their secondary backup was done on tape. We're still figuring out how easy it would be to do that with Acronis. Sometimes, we try to implement newer technologies, and there are challenges.

The customer service and support are really good.

We switched to it recently.  The cost was a factor in our decision.

The initial setup was simple. Acronis provided dedicated support for a couple of hours, and they helped us manage it.

It is basically plug-and-play. We configure it based on the number of devices. Currently, we have a 30-user setup for this setup. 

We have deployed it on the cloud. 

Acronis team provided support, so it wasn't too difficult to integrate this product into our current IT workflow. It could have been quicker, but for now, things are working. So, it was a bit of a challenge. 

We have a hybrid deployment model. Some of our applications are in Azure, and the rest are on-premises. 

Acronis provided dedicated support for a couple of hours, and they helped us manage it.

The pricing is a little lower than the competition, at least in India.

Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten. 

I would recommend it to other users. It's a good product.
