If you were talking to someone whose organization is considering Salesforce Platform, what would you say?
How would you rate it and why? Any other tips or advice?
Though a bit on the costlier side, it is the most trusted, if you are medium or large entity, go for Salesforce. I give 9 out of 10 for the tool.
I have experience with the enterprise edition of the Salesforce Platform. I also have experience with HubSpot. I'm not aware of which version of the Salesforce Platform I used because I'm just a user, not a developer. The advice I'd give to people who want to implement the Salesforce Platform is to look deeply and very carefully at the cost of implementation because it could be very high sometimes. On the other hand, the platform brings tremendous value proposition. There's no additional feature I'd like added to the Salesforce Platform because at the moment it has all features that are important to me and the company. For example, it has the Marketing Cloud which helps align marketing and sales pretty easily and more globally. Salesforce has also acquired a lot of other platforms to make different processes easier, for example, it acquired Tableau, Slack, and other companies, so now the company has a larger portfolio than other CRMs. I firmly believe that Salesforce has a tremendous portfolio for enterprise companies, but for medium and small companies, I do not recommend the Salesforce Platform because it's too expensive. My rating for the Salesforce Platform is nine out of ten. My company has no partnership with Salesforce.
The Salesforce Platform has not gone down in the time we have used it, it is very stable. I would recommend this solution to others. I rate Salesforce Platform a seven out of ten.

I'd advise to definitely not customize. As they rolled out the new versions, which were every six months, there had to be some significant testing and verification that happened. New companies need to have a good, strong third-party provider that is very experienced to assist. We used Deloitte. We did investigations. We evaluated Accenture, KPMG, and some others - even IBM - however, basically, we decided on Deloitte and that was a good decision for us. You need to have a really good partner who has a center of excellence, or experts, that could give you a lot of insights into what they've learned that could jumpstart your deployment. I'd advise new users to just stay standard and really focus on the licensing. Otherwise, it could get really costly. I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. We are quite satisfied with Salesforce.
I am primarily in sales and work with a technical team and engineers. I would highly recommend this solution to those who are considering using it. I would rate Salesforce Platform a nine out of ten.
I would advise making sure that you have a plan for how you're going to configure it so that you do things right the first time. We've changed the way we use it several times. We have improved our workflow in there over time. This was just because of the way we were first using it or the way we had configured it. There is nothing wrong with the product. I would rate it an eight out of 10. As soon as I get used to the changed look and feel, it'll probably go back up to 10.
The company I work for has a partnership with Salesforce. The product version is the latest and up-to-date. It's all handled through the company I work for. I'd rate the solution at a nine out of ten. Nothing is perfect, however, Salesforce is a good CRM tool.
The slowness of Salesforce could have been due to the fact that it is on the cloud. I had used Salesforce at other companies and it was not as slow. Salesforce is the best one out there. I know that SugarCRM claims to be better but I haven't had a chance to use it to compare. I would rate Salesforce a 6 out of 10. It wasn't great and wasn't terrible.
Salesforce Platform is a good solution that does its job. However, I don't know that every company needs it. A company our size could probably manage with a less capable CRM with less overhead, but it does more than what we need it to do. I rate Salesforce Platform an eight out of ten.

I would recommend this solution to others. This is the right time to look into Salesforce, so it's going to be huge in few years. I am totally in love with this solution. Any issues it may have for example with integration are all minor when you compare it with the performance, scalability, and ease of use. I would definitely rate it a ten out of ten.
We're using the enterprise version of the solution. I've done only four or five projects since I started my own shop back in 2010. Most of the projects which we have done are all for overseas companies. 80% are from the US and 20% are from the rest of the globe, including Australia, Canada, Europe, and the UK. I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten.

Before using this solution, you must make sure that your processes are very clear. You should know what do you want from the CRM and what outcome you are expecting. The CRM itself is very easy to use and deploy, but you can also make mistakes while going back and forth. If you don't have complete clarity of what you want from the business standpoint, you will lose valuable time in customizing the stuff that is not required. You will end up measuring stuff that you don't really care about. That's why you need to know your needs and the outcome that you're expecting. I would rate Salesforce Platform a nine out of ten.

I would advise others to go with the base functionality first and then develop specific use cases for your expansion and customization. Try to leverage, as much as possible, the core capabilities without customization. Rely on configuration because customization is really expensive. The developers are expensive. It's important to understand what you need for the short, middle and long term. Salesforce is a huge platform and might provide a level of functionality that you don't need. I would highly recommend implementation with a partner. It simplifies the process and if a company doesn't have the resources or people to administer the platform, it can effect the outcome. It's good to have a Salesforce administrator to assist when you need help. I rate this solution a nine out of 10.

I can recommend Salesforce Platform to others with no hesitation. For a PaaS, all the infrastructure was in place. But when you begin with a new platform, you have to start from scratch at level zero and then keep on maturing. Thus, my advice to my team and everyone else is: don't complicate from day one. You start, make it simple, keep on using it, make sure it's working correctly and so on, and from there on out things are very easy for users. I would rate Salesforce Platform a seven out of ten.
I'm not sure of which version of the solution we're using. We're using both Google and Amazon clouds, however, I'm not sure where this version actually sits and if it's on one of those. I'm just a user. I'm not an integrator or reseller. I'd advise those considering the solution to ensure that the integrations are strong. We probably would have had an easier time if our older solution integrated better into this one. Overall, I would rate the solution at an eight out of ten. I'd rate it higher, however, we did have some challenges at the outset with the setup.

We're partners with Salesforce. I'm not sure which version of the solution we're currently using. We're a sizeable company and have 3,000-4,000 people using the solution currently. We're moving towards a different cloud due to a corporate mandate we'd like to have the opportunity to implement it there. There's a lot of training that needs to be done to get used to the solution and to get to understand all of the features on offer. To tackle this, we have asked the task force training candidate members to get everyone trained. Getting a good handle on the solution is very important. Before Salesforce, we used to use four to five disparate systems to manage all the customers. With Salesforce, we have been given one central source of tools. There are several departments that used to target customers separately and each of them was using their own systems for tracking. Now, with this one tool, there's only one type of invoice. It's streamlined everything in terms of billing and customer outreach. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.
I would recommend this solution to others and I will recommend that they use all the other SalesForce products. If their primary business use case is covered by Salesforce App Cloud, they should start there. If they have other business cases, they should definitely use other Salesforce products to see if that is covered. Additional features that I would like to see included in the next release is more integration with Google. On a scale of one to ten, I will rate this solution a nine.
