As a developer, we can work collaboratively, and Windows 10 is also good from a UI perspective. I chose to rate it an eight because I have faced issues when updates come in, which can be annoying. Another main issue is background apps running, so that is why I rate it eight.

We are already using Windows 10 as our operating system, so we clone our repository in Windows 10 and develop using some Microsoft software by installing them in Windows 10 as well. Windows 10 mainly helps us in our day-to-day developing works and debugging.

Windows 10 is a good operating system for a developer in terms of device encryption, which means full device encryption, so it is a more secure way to keep our data protected. The Windows 10 antivirus systems are excellent, and it is a secure solution. It also gives a good user-friendly interface, so it is easy to work with, and we mainly use Windows Sandbox, which is a lightweight, isolated environment to safely run unknown apps.

Windows 10 helps our team collaboration more because we have OneDrive and SharePoint for sharing our resources. OneDrive is for sharing common folders among team members and network shares folder. Windows 10 also helps us to use Microsoft Teams for group chat, video calls, and we can share our resources and have easy meetings and virtual meetings with clients abroad. It also supports VPN, which is mainly used at the organization level because we can manage our regional data easily.

Device encryption is a main priority for us as developers in a FinTech company because we have the most secure user data, so it is good to have encrypted data to manage our data. The device encryption is a good feature to keep the client data encrypted and secure.

Windows 10 is mainly providing updates for security and UI changes, so the security updates are very useful for us as developers, and even for personal use, the updates are excellent.

We have faced some issues with Windows OneDrive because if one developer has a folder in a common OneDrive folder, it took some time to show it to others. It becomes somewhat difficult to work, as there is latency on that, so if you update that, it will be more efficient and useful for the developers.

My main focus on Windows 10 is the giving of regular updates, so it might take some time to update Windows, which is also mandatory. As a developer, when we are working with Windows 10, if it takes more time to update and restart the PC, it affects our efficiency at work. If we could stop the updates on a regular basis or if they were delivered faster, it would be easier.

As a developer, the frequent updates are too annoying for working on it, so it would be better if we stop the frequent updates and only provide the most important ones. Performance issues over time due to background apps and programs piling up and using an SSD instead of a hard disk are also concerns.

I have started my journey with computers, and I started with Windows 10. It has been more than fifteen to sixteen years that I am working with Windows, and for Windows 10, I think I have been working with it for around three to four years.

A new developer can easily adapt to it, and security-wise, Windows 10 is good, so they do not need to worry about personal data or anything because the encryption levels are excellent. At the organizational level, we can work collaboratively on OneDrive and Teams, which makes our work efficient. I have rated this review an eight out of ten.

My main use case for Windows 10 at work is to use it for applications, to run the applications or the .exe file, executable files. Sometimes I use IIS, Internet Information Services, for Windows level usage. I also use the command prompt sometimes, which we can only get in Windows.

For work purposes, I perform almost every day on Windows 10 the task of using command prompt most of the time and for using it as a localhost and for IIS also.

In my opinion, the best features Windows 10 offers are that it is really easy to use and to apply each and everything whatever we are trying to do. The particular feature I think stands out the most in Windows 10 is that it is easy to use. Most probably we can say the run command which we use to open the applications, to close or clear the cache files, and also the control panel. The control panel is also very easy to use to add and delete the programs, change the settings, and for multiple use cases.

In my experience, there is nothing to be improved inside Windows 10. It is already very well set up.

If I had to think of one thing that could be improved in Windows 10, it would be that we could make it a little faster.

I previously used Linux as a different solution before Windows 10 for some of the projects because of the costing part, because it is open-source. There is nothing to buy. I chose it just because of speed and being open-source.

I have seen a return on investment with Windows 10 in that it basically saves our money. As for reducing the number of employees, it depends on the projects and the strength. It depends on the project also. We do not have to reduce employees. We have a lot of work to do on Windows, so we cannot say that we have to reduce employees or anything of that nature. However, it saves our money a lot by reducing the work time and workloads.

Regarding my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Windows 10, I am not able to tell you because it is with the business team or the sales team, the business analyst. I am just an engineer. I am able to tell you the technical things inside it.

Before choosing Windows 10, I only evaluated Linux which I previously mentioned. Nothing else.

Choosing Windows 10 over Linux has made my work or my team's work easier in that I can say Linux is fast, but as compared to Windows, Linux is really very complicated to use. Mostly we have to type commands for each and everything, such as for installing the application or for running any packages. However, in Windows, we can simply just open the browser, download anything, and we can install it by double-clicking only. We do not need any commands to run something or to do something.

If you are looking into using Windows 10, I would advise that you just have to clear out the cache first of all whenever you try to get into Windows. Secondly, I would tell you that if you are looking forward for a great response and easy-to-use operating system, you can go for Windows 10. That is really very useful.

My main use case for Windows 10 is that we have an application called Pick D3 and on top of that, it's an application that allows a user to get to it, called AccuTerm, which is a multi-value database system. We use that because certain versions of Windows don't allow us to utilize the application correctly, so we run virtual machines that allow us to do so.

A quick specific example of how I use Windows 10 with Pick D3 and AccuTerm in my daily work is that we have these projects that we set up with.

The best features Windows 10 offers for me as a systems administrator include the fact that there's no TPM requirements as in with Windows 11, allowing me to install it on older machines, and I can disable certain parts of my virtual machine that just ignores the TPM requirements, which is a big thing for us.

The ability to bypass TPM requirements significantly makes things easier for my workflow because of how we run our virtual machines, and it definitely saves us money since I don't need to have a TPM on some of these older servers that I run, making it cheaper to run, and I can use slightly older equipment which is fine.

Windows 10 has positively impacted my organization because the license costs are definitely lower than running Windows 11, and there's less overhead when it comes to Microsoft pulling data from our networks to feed their copilot machine, which has saved us money. I've used Windows 10 since it came out and even during the Windows preview back with Windows 8 and Windows 7, and it's definitely easier to use, less complicated, and has reached its end of life for my needs.

I give Windows 10 a nine instead of a ten because there are certain driver requirements for some of the newer pieces of hardware in my machine or servers, making installing drivers a little complicated.

I am familiar with Windows Server and Windows 10 to an extent, but it's Windows 11 now, so we don't have too many Windows 10 left here. There are a couple of computers that are busy all the time, so I couldn't upgrade them.

I am using Windows 10 within the education system, so our licenses are educational. Windows 10 is pretty much a thing of the past with a few computers as an exception.

The value of Windows as an operating system lies in how applications are easy to find and upgrades are simple. You can upgrade the Windows operating system easily and the applications continue to function, so it's a good option for desktop.

Linux is not such a good option based on the fact that we are running Windows domains. Integration of other operating systems and systems with Windows are difficult. We are running a number of iMacs and there are problems whenever users have to access their Windows shares.

I cannot think about anything with Windows that doesn't satisfy or meet our needs. Of course, whenever a newer version appears, we know that the older version at a certain time shall be discontinued. Whenever we have time, we look for the opportunity to upgrade. We practically do an initial upgrade, we see how that computer behaves and then go ahead and upgrade them.

Regarding the pricing for Windows 10, they come with the hardware that we get and we have the upgraded licenses, so the price is good, but it's not the pricing that you usually get per device. It's campus price. Educational campus pricing is volume licensing, so educational prices are better.

There were valuable features in Windows 10 that I remember. It did the job that I needed, and it worked okay.

The security features in Windows 10, particularly Windows Firewall and Windows Endpoint Protection, were valuable for our needs. We are using an XDR, a detection and response system, which is still in its infancy. It is deployed all over and we get information from those systems through an agent and through a web interface, we get warnings. We supplement whatever Windows offers, and we are considering getting E5 licenses and going to Microsoft Endpoint Protection. Everything on our computers should be controlled through Azure Office 365.

I use Windows 10 as an operating system for my personal computer. Currently, I am using Windows 11.

Windows 10 has an inbuilt antivirus system that is quite good compared to Windows 7 or Windows 8. It is more powerful than other operating systems in the Windows series, like Windows 8 and Windows 7. It allows me to use multiple tabs with Chrome and multiple CMD terminals for SSH. I can create tasks, schedule, monitor, and log tasks. There is another feature called Xbox, which is good for gaming if I want to capture or record my screen during streaming. It is an inbuilt feature from Microsoft.

Windows 10 is quite old, and Windows 11 has newer features such as Copilot. Investment in Windows 10 may not be ideal as the world is changing with advancing technology in the AI age. It is generally better to buy a Windows 11 license unless the requirement is specific.
