What is our primary use case?
The main use case for
Swimlane in my organization is carrying out analysis of alerts coming from other sources and analyzing IPs, domains, URLs, and more observables.
For example, we receive an alert that a user has accessed a suspicious URL, and therefore, we perform an analysis of that URL and in Swimlane we document the analysis of our investigation.
How has it helped my organization?
Swimlane has had a positive impact on my organization because it has saved us time and, based on using it for one client, we have started to integrate it for the rest of the clients.
I would not be able to estimate the time I have managed to save in daily processes since I started using Swimlane because I don't have that data, but there have been noticeable improvements in the team's efficiency, since having everything integrated and being easier to explain to new people, the learning times are shortened.
What is most valuable?
The best features that Swimlane offers are the integration with all the other tools, it is very easy to use and very intuitive. Swimlane provides a lot of information and a lot of fluency when doing things, and it is one of the tools that I have used that works the best.
I sense that Swimlane was integrated with Sentinel and maybe BMC Helix, with CrowdStrike as well, though I don't know what integrations it has in the background because we work for an external client.
What needs improvement?
At the moment, I don't know what Swimlane could improve because it is quite good and personally it is one of the best tools.
If I had to think of some minor aspects or details that could be optimized, the dashboards could be more visual, with more visual elements and not so much text.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with Swimlane for a year and a half.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I consider Swimlane to be a stable solution.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Swimlane's scalability is good as it adapts well to different workloads and users. In my position, we manage several clients and for several months clients were gradually added in a migration from
TheHive to Swimlane, and Swimlane handled it very well.
How are customer service and support?
I don't know how my experience has been with Swimlane's customer support because I haven't had to call customer support.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Before using Swimlane, we used
TheHive and the decision was made because when we started using Swimlane for a specific client, we realized that the operation was much simpler and it didn't freeze as much.
How was the initial setup?
I don't know how my experience has been with Swimlane's licensing costs, initial setup, and pricing model because that is not within my field of knowledge in the company.
What about the implementation team?
My company has only a client relationship with the vendor.
What was our ROI?
I don't know if my organization has seen a return on investment from implementing Swimlane because that is not shared with someone in my position.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I don't know how my experience has been with Swimlane's licensing costs, initial setup, and pricing model because that is not within my field of knowledge in the company.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I don't know if we evaluated other options before choosing Swimlane because my job position was not part of those decisions.
What other advice do I have?
My advice to someone who is considering using Swimlane is that they try it before implementing it, and I would say that it is one of the leading tools currently. I gave this review a rating of 9.
