I use Ellucian in the financial aid domain. In this capacity, it is used to award financial aid and disperse it. It is also used for admissions, registration, and testing.

Using Ellucian means that we have more automated processes, and don't have to do everything manually.
What is most valuable?
I like that all of the student information is in one place.
What needs improvement?
The functionality for monitoring satisfactory academic progress has room for improvement.
For how long have I used the solution?
Counting the pre-implementation training, I have been using Ellucian for about 20 years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Stability-wise, we have not had any problems such as bugs or glitches.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Ellucian has scaled with our business needs. We have between 100 and 200 users.
How are customer service and support?
This product is used by more than 50 colleges in our state and it is purchased by the government. The system office does the testing and pushes out the patches to us, so everything has been testing. Even if there is any customization that needs to be done, it happens before it comes to us.
As such, I haven't had to contact technical support myself.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is straightforward.
What other advice do I have?
My advice for anybody who is looking into implementing this solution is to also look at Banner, which is another product sold by Ellucian. I have not looked at it myself, but I would suggest looking at both of them and decide which one better suits my needs.
Overall, this is a good support system to have as a student system in a college.
I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.
