Significantly reduces manual effort and improves team workflows through automated ticketing
We've used Agent Builder, IXP, and Maestro for orchestration. We have created context-grounded searches or chatbots using context grounding, and we also use context grounding within an Agentic flow where a bot or agent reads ServiceNow tickets to determine whether it has been assigned to the right work group. If it has not been assigned correctly due to human error, it automatically reassigns it to the right group. I would assess Agentic AI's ability to extract data points as effective. We created an agent for the purpose of extracting data, though not in a document. We created what we call an email conversation agent that engages with a customer, vendor, or someone in an email conversation with a set goal of extracting specific data points for an action to be performed subsequently. The one automation we have deployed in production involves the agent interacting with team members to collect data points and create a ServiceNow ticket. We appreciate almost all features of UiPath Platform, with one of the most successful ones being the use of Coms Mining. Most of the new features related to AI have all been good, and we use Agentic. We have already created a few agents and have started to use Maestro for a few flows, though we are not yet there to orchestrate an end-to-end workflow. We have good ROI from the automations we have developed with UiPath Platform, which far exceeds the investment in the platform. It has saved us tens of thousands of hours in manual effort, making the team members happy to pursue other things of value.

It lightens the workload while giving our clients greater visibility into what's being done and how
I've used Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath, and Pega Robotics, formerly OpenSpan. I still have ongoing projects with those, which tend to be client-driven. Verint probably works better for us because it originated in the call center world. Pega Robotics is probably the only one that can match Verint in that segment. Verint is better for call center employees or back-office workers. Depending on the use case, we could have used Automation Anywhere or UiPath. Those other solutions focus on replacing workers and automating all their tasks. Verint aims to make the workers more efficient and allow management to see what the worker is doing. You can have an equally significant impact with either approach, but I prefer the human-centered approach.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We saw ROI in the first month that the first robot was implemented."
"The tech support that UiPath provides to the licensed user it is really helpful. There were some scenarios when my issue was resolved within 24 hours. Also, I like the constant updates that UiPath provided to us."
"The UiPath Platform has improved organizations by saving significant time and money, with approximately 50% return on investment, though this varies by customer."
"The task recording is awesome. I love being able to see the processes and find out the issues a lot better."
"Some of the things that we've done have cut down tasks that took four hours to 30 seconds, so our customers are experiencing very large benefits from automation."
"We're very, very happy with the product, it does exactly what we want it to do, and it allows us to sell UiPath, or sell RPA in the way that we want to."
"The training available in UiPath is really awesome and the material makes you automation-ready so that one can work on real-time projects."
"It's astronomical the levels of magnitude the increase in efficiency that you can get."
"Verint probably works better for us because it originated in the call center world."
"Verint RPA gives our clients greater visibility into what's being done and how. It also lightens the load on the workers by automating tasks."

Cons

"Having a tool that can assess the entire workflow of an automation created by someone would be highly beneficial."
"UiPath Platform can be improved by adding more functionalities around security, especially around the Agentic AI."
"There are small issues, such as the Action Center not auto-refreshing. The user has to keep clicking "refresh." It's minor, but if you're waiting for something in your queue, you don't want to sit there and keep clicking. Logging could be improved, and there are a few connectors where I would like to see enhancements, but nothing major."
"While the solution speeds up the cost of digital transformation, doing so requires expensive or complex application upgrades or IT app support."
"I would like to see improved support and cost management for advanced certification."
"The on-prem orchestrator was an issue for us."
"Sometimes things don't pick up right away, however, it is my understanding that they're working on it, and it has improved tremendously."
"Reducing the price of the unattended licenses would be very helpful."
"Verint RPA needs a more robust toolset to create complex UIs for workers. It's probably not just this product. Almost all automation solutions have similar limitations."
"Verint RPA needs a more robust toolset to create complex UIs for workers."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing differs on the requirements. If there is a huge purchase, then we get a discount. There is not a fixed pricing of the product."
"It is one of those things where you pay for convenience. Pricing-wise, UiPath is definitely way more expensive than other solutions that we have seen, especially since we also have Microsoft Power Automate, which is one of the latest tools. UiPath is on the higher end, but it is one of those decisions, "Is it worth the investment? How much are you getting as an ROI?" That is usually how the conversation goes."
"We saved a little over $600,000. That totaled to almost 19 FTEs which we ended up saving."
"The pricing is good compared to other software. Based on the features that UiPath is providing, and the community support, the price is reasonable."
"Price-wise, it is not the cheapest one on the market, but it provides the fastest automation and the best training that I have ever seen for RPA, through the UiPath Academy."
"Its price is fair. We have no problem. It is good."
"UiPath's cost is a bit high compared to other RPA tools."
"There is no additional cost apart from the standard licensing. There is a one-time cost for the infrastructure setup."
