Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The inventory tool is the most valuable. We have some clients that would only do the entitlements section and search for contracts using Excel sheets. The inventory tool is a lot easier for the managing of licenses, installations, and devices on the tools is a huge benefit."

"We can do auto patch updates using SOTI. SOTI has been well placed in terms of the number of endpoints it can handle.""The SOTI MobiControl Assist tool is very good for remote controlling devices for troubleshooting. SOTI MobiControl is very helpful.""All features are useful. It is useful for preventing the use of unauthorized software on corporate-owned devices. It provides an option to lock the devices for unauthorized software. The devices can only be used under the supervision of the device manager.""The installation is very straightforward.""The remote control we have helps us a lot.""SOTI's most valuable feature has to be mobile device management and visibility through the main console. There's a central dashboard that you can use to monitor the devices and keep track of usage, battery consumption, and battery life.""It is very reliable, and their support is excellent.""The most valuable features are remote control and geo-fencing."

Cons
"There are some licensing models that could be able to be managed in Snow Device Manager that are not, such as token-based models. This would be a benefit since the growth of blockchains."

More Snow Device Manager Cons →

"It would be helpful if the product offered more integration and more features around the iOS and macOS platforms.""There is room for improvement when it comes to the ability to customize devices and choosing what information goes onto them.""In the next release, they should make it easier to migrate.""Adding more features for iOS devices would be an improvement.""They could make it easier to configure. While setting it up from scratch, I find many networking issues, and I have to call our network people for them, but our network people don't understand. It's a nightmare to try to communicate to them that this port needs to be open, or this needs to be opened here or there. Networking people are very security conscious, and they're wary of doing anything. So, if you can't tell them exactly why they need to do something, they get really paranoid. SOTI could do a better job of making the configuration of their software easier to understand and more clear. The prerequisites should be clear. They should clearly specify what is required to get this software working. There should be a list of prerequisites that is easier to understand and trust.""SOTI MobiControl could improve by being more user-friendly.""The solution could use better reporting.""The pricing policy of SOTI is not stable. You buy it today at one price, and the following year, it becomes something like 5% or 7% higher. From my point of view, SOTI is a little bit weak in terms of implementation on the new Windows 10 devices, and they have to work on this. It can't compete with Intune and other solutions when it comes to Windows implementation. It almost doesn't work with iOS. It works well with Android."
