Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, JAMF, VMware and others in Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM)."The reporting and analytics features in Microsoft Intune have been a lifesaver."
"Autopilot is the most valuable feature."
"It is a comprehensive security solution that not only controls access to enterprise resources but also tracks and prevents unauthorized access, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and preventing potential data loss scenarios."
"Mobile device management is most valuable."
"The ability to wipe data from and reset devices is one of the most important and valuable features. If a device is reported stolen, we can freeze it or wipe the data from it, preventing data leakage."
"The main advantage is that Intune performs its intended functions effectively."
"The most valuable includes managing everything from a single console."
"I like that we can implement conditional access."
"The inventory tool is the most valuable. We have some clients that would only do the entitlements section and search for contracts using Excel sheets. The inventory tool is a lot easier for the managing of licenses, installations, and devices on the tools is a huge benefit."
"We use the Lockdown Kiosk Mode feature on all of our devices. We use that so that the operators can't change any settings in the background, and so that the applications they run are immediately available to them. It's a good feature."
"The feature I find most valuable within Soti is the ability to reset or unlock a device. A lot of the devices that we use are in the field. We have locations in Dallas, San Diego, Seattle, Washington, and Phoenix, Arizona and there isn't always someone, within our company, who is managing these devices. Sometimes it's the doctors' offices that we partner with where they use these devices. Having the ability to remotely reset a device or unlock a device has been super-crucial for me."
"The other one would be just how easy it is to deploy applications."
"The ease of access was awesome. The guys helping us out were pretty fluent in the product. I currently have two devices in a dashboard that we're testing, but the solution that they have is awesome. I like that it's a cloud-based based solution, and I think there will be some significant cost savings."
"The installation is very straightforward."
"The most valuable feature is the remote support because there are plants here where IT staff is not present. We can use it to provide support remotely."
"The most valuable features are remote control and geo-fencing."
"The product provides us with information about the incidents. It helped us block specific devices remotely."
"There can be some added features, such as an improved dashboard. Any new feature that could be a benefit to our customers would be good."
"Microsoft Intune could enhance its patch management for various devices, ensuring regular updates and tracking of device privileges."
"It would be helpful if there was proactive remediation."
"It would help if administrators could pinpoint the exact location of a stolen device to help law enforcement retrieve it and apprehend the suspect."
"I would like some integration with the Microsoft reporting platform Power BI."
"I think that there is room for improvement with the reporting. If this is done, it will be a better product."
"It would be better if they can reduce the cost of the license."
"Deploying an app can be a complex process due to dependencies."
"There are some licensing models that could be able to be managed in Snow Device Manager that are not, such as token-based models. This would be a benefit since the growth of blockchains."
"The previous version, for example, had the networking signal and that feature was great. When we were troubleshooting, we could find the level of the network I/O. If the worker was working in a corner of the warehouse where the signal was not as strong as in another part of the warehouse, we could tell, "Just move a little and you will have coverage for your device." That was great. I don't know why they removed it from the newer version."
"We're deploying an application upgrade. We can't do more than three or four devices at once, and we don't know if the device actually received the upgrade. There's no indicator saying it's 100 percent complete until everything is done. Let's say I work East to West. I work on the East Coast and I want to confirm it was done with the upgrades in that region. I wouldn't know until I actually went into it. There's no indicator telling me that it's complete."
"The product’s features for managing Windows devices need improvement."
"In the next release, they should make it easier to migrate."
"They could make it easier to configure. While setting it up from scratch, I find many networking issues, and I have to call our network people for them, but our network people don't understand. It's a nightmare to try to communicate to them that this port needs to be open, or this needs to be opened here or there. Networking people are very security conscious, and they're wary of doing anything. So, if you can't tell them exactly why they need to do something, they get really paranoid. SOTI could do a better job of making the configuration of their software easier to understand and more clear. The prerequisites should be clear. They should clearly specify what is required to get this software working. There should be a list of prerequisites that is easier to understand and trust."
"There is room for improvement when it comes to the ability to customize devices and choosing what information goes onto them."
"The main feature that we would like to have with Soti is the ability to push an iOS update without having people come to my office. That is the main reason why we went with Soti. And that feature is not working on my version."
"In future releases, I would like to see a better configuration of the dashboard."
