Seamless integration, collaborative features, and enhances data exploration
There are several areas for improvement in SAP Analytics Cloud. Firstly, features available in SAP Lumira are missing in SAP Analytics Cloud. Secondly, the predictive analytics functions, although promising, are currently only suitable for Proof of Concepts (POCs) and not for industrial-scale use. Lastly, the pricing model for the planning functionality is quite high and presents an entry barrier.

Good forecasting, reporting, and data integrity, but it needs to be more user-friendly
The dashboard could be made easier to use. I think that SAS BA represents an evolution of the product in this regard. I think that this solution should be more compatible with other software, including open-source solutions. If SAS were more flexible in terms of licensing then that would be good, because it costs more than other solutions. I would like to see more flexibility in the interface so that a person at the managerial level can also make use of it in a basic way.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"All of the modules that we used to have separately in our on-premises solution are now integrated into one platform."
"One feature I've found most valuable is discovery."
"Considering the reporting part, I rate the tool a nine out of ten."
"The product's most valuable features are reporting and planning, driverless planning, business vertical-wise planning, dashboarding, forecasting tools, and business forecasting."
"Technical support is helpful."
"Planning is the most valuable feature of the product because it's integrated and that means we don't need to rely on an independent planning environment."
"It integrates with third-party applications such as Google Drive and Excel,"
"It is scalable."
"The most valuable features are forecasting and reporting."
"The most valuable feature is its flexibility and the ability to integrate with SAS."

Cons

"The scope is limited to a few accounts."
"What should be improved in SAP Analytics Cloud is the speed of importing information and data, e.g. from SAP S/4HANA. Gathering the data from the main database takes a bit of time."
"The integration with other vendors and solutions could be improved."
"If the application has many pages or a page with more charts, it tends to load slowly."
"When it comes to planning there is a concern about the ability to match the exact requirements of the customer with what the product offers."
"I would like to see reporting to the Analytics cloud directly."
"Connection and integration with other applications have a lot of restrictions at the moment."
"The connection works only for importing data. Currently, there is no real-time integration between SAP Analytics Cloud and CRM. There are some features present in the classic but not in the optimized version. If I need to create something specific, I often have to switch the versions. It would be more convenient to have a single product that incorporates all the necessary features."
"I think that this solution should be more compatible with other software, including open-source solutions."
"Technical support could be improved because they take too long to answer our queries."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing of this product is reasonable."
"SAP pricing tends to be premium, so it is slightly higher."
"SAP Analytics Cloud can be quite expensive."
"It is not the most expensive one. You have to do the cost-of-ownership analysis and take a lot of things into consideration to come up with the conclusion that it is cheaper or not, but its price is reasonable. It provides value for money."
"It's quite expensive and costs a lot to maintain, especially with licensing."
"This solution is pricey."
"Compute and storage features should be sold separately."
"The pricing is based on an annual license and is rated a four out of ten."
"If SAS were more flexible in terms of licensing then that would be good, because it costs more than other solutions."
