The capabilities of SAP Analytics Cloud that I consider the most valuable are that all three functionalities are in one tool, and because they are, you don't have to buy another tool to make planning, you don't have to buy another tool to implement prediction.

The most valuable feature of SAP Business Data Cloud is not really limited to BDC itself, it's the two core applications, which are SAC and Data Sphere, and I think seamless planning is the number one feature that is really advantageous to users and really something that stands out for SAP versus everybody else because no other tool has that feature.

The best feature of SAP Business Data Cloud is that it's a cloud-based solution, making it software as a service, and we save on the BODS license and avoid the costs associated with the Enterprise HANA 48 terabyte box while easily storing petabytes of data for significant cost savings going forward.

Seamless planning is equal to live data, and when using live data it is very helpful because I get the data up to date, I do not have to manually refresh it, I can perform all sorts of calculations on my presentation or calculation layer, and present it to the client with live data being fetched into the system, which helped greatly for BI capabilities and allowed me to create multiple reports and dashboards to understand the sales-related dynamics of the current business in real time.

What I dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud is that the way they position the data products is a little confusing for users because it is fundamentally different whether you're using data products that SAP delivers.

There are significant hindrances in the reliability area of SAP Business Data Cloud related to connections. On one project, we created two to three connections for each module; however, when we moved from the development phase to the UAT or quality check phase, we found that our connections had expired, which meant redevelopment work, loss of time and money, and we also lost the trust of the customer.
