Has improved data security and automation while supporting large-scale storage and migration
I do not use the Global Reach feature. Regarding metrics and performance, I don’t recall the exact performance metrics, but we use ETL processes to monitor and manage migration performance and data quality. Oracle Database Cloud Service is strong for data management and storage, as well as for its security features and automation of data dumps and archiving. Overall, Oracle Database Cloud Service is a solid product. It’s well-suited for financial platforms. Oracle provides both its on-premises and cloud-based suites, and the company continues to evolve, offering more components for data storage, data management, and integration with other tools and SaaS solutions. I plan to continue using Oracle Database Cloud Service, particularly for managing SaaS tools in financial contexts.

Performs well with high database and reporting performance
We face difficulties replicating the AC DOCA table, which is a huge table, from S/4HANA to SAP HANA BAS, Business Application Studio, or HANA Studio using SLT. For developing Power BI reports using the AC DOCA table, we are replicating full data daily. We want to implement delta load, and while we used OData service for one client, the delta OData service link is not properly updating delta records. Licensing costs with SAP HANA are very high. Due to high pricing, many clients are moving from BW on SAP HANA and S/4HANA to Azure SQL. I have worked with several clients who have moved all data flows to Azure and developed Power BI queries on top of Azure. Many clients are also using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The certification costs are also very high, more than ₹1,40,000 INR. Previously, it was ₹30,000 to ₹40,000. I want to pursue three certifications but am unable to do so due to the cost.

Ledger and seamless integrations have strengthened trusted analytics and unified workloads
SQL Server's high availability and disaster recovery features work for supporting mission-critical applications, but there is much more to wish for. These features are not quite ready yet, although they do function. However, they could be significantly better. High availability and disaster recovery features should be improved in the next releases. I have noticed that everything could be improved or enhanced in the future, particularly temporal tables and window functions. Sometimes, I believe Microsoft releases features to stay ahead of competitors, but they do not make them feature-rich or feature-complete. They release something to be ahead of leaders and then seem to forget to maintain and upgrade them. I want Microsoft to pay more attention and be more mindful about the things they implement. It is fine to do a first release that works, but you cannot simply abandon it in the following years without service packs and improvements. You must continue to build on features rather than forgetting about them.

"The solution is easy to scale."
"It's easy to use, and the Hana Studio is pretty good."
"What I like most are the dashboards and pervasive analytics."
"It's easy to use, and the Hana Studio is pretty good."
"The solution operates well, and I had no problems with the functionality."
"It has a very huge bandwidth and data transfer."
"This solution acts as the backbone of most IT services."
"We don't have any issues with the scalability of SQL Server."
"The interface is user friendly."
"For the most part, we have been satisfied with its capabilities."
"It is the latest technology and pretty powerful in terms of the high availability of the virtual server."
"The most valuable features of this solution are easy queries and straightforward programming for beginners."
"I love the developer version. Microsoft tells you about all the cool things they provided for everybody. You can develop and do anything with it. It's really good to learn. Oracle will not give you that much freedom, and Microsoft really kills it. You don't do anything with it but develop, learn, break, and push it to its limits. If there are problems, you show Microsoft or ask them, "what's going on here?" There is good community support for the developer edition, and that's what I really appreciate. You can teach people about it without limitations. You can have small databases created. You can keep it for a year and then work on it. It's a good thing for learners and developers."
"I've been using SQL Server for 20 years, and there is nothing that it can't do; it is awesome."

Cons

"The initial setup is a bit complex for the beginner, so you need a little technical experience to install it."
"I don't feel secure in a deal with Oracle because that team changes the conditions each year, and there's no representative from the team that talks to my company about new needs."
"Oracle should work on the solution's compatibility issues with the operating system."
"We encountered connection failures for some of our sites."
"I think the program is rather expensive, so I would like to see it becoming more affordable."
"The pricing must be improved."
"I would rate the quality of technical support from Oracle as a five out of ten. Some of my colleagues have found the duration of service to be too long and lacking in technical detail."
"The implementation process could be easier for customers."
"Technical support could be better. When we have requested this, the tendency has been to instruct us to implement a note and keep them apprised."
"I would like more technical documentation. I would like it to be easier to find online help or have a better launch-based service. SAP has a lot of functions, so we need more best practices and more detailed documentation on industry solutions. For example, it would be good to have documentation on why a certain process needs to be set up and which kinds of configurations need to be set up."
"SAP HANA is not perfect and they could improve by having more options and more integration."
"The solution needs to work on its performance and make it faster."
"There could be better management for faster updates, last year there were some changes in India to the e-invoicing feature."
"I give the scalability of SAP HANA a six out of ten."
"There's an issue in the partition. When you record more than two million records, partitioning does not work well. In Oracle it's easy. SAP must resolve this issue in order to be more competitive with Oracle."
"The solution is very expensive, however. The pricing depends on the number of users and many other factors that affect licensing."
"The licensing costs are very high."
"SQL Server could improve by increase the performance, it cannot handle large amounts of data. I did not find any additional features compared to others solutions."
"The solution could be more secure."
"It needs to be improved to handle big data for large volumes of transactions for big industries. As compared to Oracle Database, SQL Server is not suitable for big data or large organizations where the database size could be more than 100 GB or more. In our country, for a large database and a large volume of transactions, we normally use Oracle Database. Most of the large banks are shifting from SQL Server to Oracle Database because of its slowness."
"Analysis services have a lot of room for improvement. Basically, manageability on the available tools. They should have improved them already. They are not very efficient. My main headache is with the analysis service, and it would be really good if Microsoft developed some additional tools that are more user-friendly to manage the analysis. This is both from the perspective of management, users' roles, and performance analysis. My main wish for SQL Server would be that management tools for analysis services grow and mature a bit."
"SQL Server doesn't have proper bitmap indexing, a proper columnar database version, or proper implementation of materialized views."
"We are on an annual enterprise license for the solution and the cost of the license could be reduced."
"The solution has legacy issues when it comes to compatibility."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool is not cheap."
"The product has reasonable pricing. I rate its pricing a nine out of ten."
"Every year we are increasing the price of the solution. There is hardware licensing available. We pay approximately $20,000 monthly to use the solution."
"I think the program is rather expensive, so I would like to see it becoming more affordable."
"Price is always higher for all Oracle products."
"Pricing for Oracle Database Cloud Service could be more competitive. Lately, pricing for it has been increasing, so my company may have to review different options to find a solution with competitive pricing. From what I know, there's no additional cost apart from the standard licensing fees for Oracle Database Cloud Service."
"It is expensive, which isn't a problem for us because SAP HANA is processing the data so fast."
"SAP HANA is affordable. I rate it a seven out of ten."
"The licensing cost for SAP HANA is approximately $200 per user per month."
"We pay for a maintenance license, and the licensing cost is high. In general, it is a very expensive solution."
"The pricing for SAP HANA is high. You pay a lot for the license, and you also have to pay for some add-ons."
"The tool has a high price. I rate the solution’s pricing, one on a scale of ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap."
"The pricing is a bit on the high side."
"It comes with a significant cost."
"It is annual."
"The cost associated with SQL Servers is on the higher side."
"Its price is fine. You have to buy the license and support."
"Pricing for this product is very reasonable."
"Since we are a cloud-based company, there is AWS pricing on top of the SQL Server pricing. The Enterprise Edition can typically sell from around $1000 dollars a month, which is not cheap. Then, there is an additional one-time Windows cost, based on the code, which can go anywhere from $30,000 to $40,000 for the license."
"It is expensive."
"The licenses are purchased annually."
"Pricing is a bit on the higher side."
