Its pricing is competitive, but the auto-assign feature that is most valuable for us hasn't been working for the last year and a half
We have a complex implementation because we have an outsourced population of over 50% of our user base. So, we have a lot of challenges. We have no HCM for user data. We have to create our own custom metadata to manage everything, and there are lots of logistical challenges in terms of implementation. If you have to go through and create a custom metadata system, as we did, and stand up all these other systems, it would take three to six months. If you have a human capital management system that's ready to go and you have all your data in the right segments and whatnot, it could be done in one to three months. In terms of maintenance, we recently re-scoped this to where we have one person that oversees the LMS as a whole, and then we have two administrators that carry out the tactical task, such as auto enrollments, user creations, and all other audit components. We also have a rotational employee that does audits on the LMS to make sure everything is working correctly.

Improves team skills and productivity with streamlined learning but could offer more to reach excellence
The features of Simplilearn for Business include a rich skills catalog that helps our learning path. There are over 500 programs and bootcamps across domains such as AI, data science, cloud, DevOps, cybersecurity, and digital business. The on-demand self-paced learning and live instructor-led classes allow us to explore more things. It is beneficial for role-based learning, whether you're a user, admin, or in a business function. This kind of learning in our projects makes our digital marketing team and software development team more effective by improving their skills. The benefits include live classes, hands-on labs, and projects, as well as enterprise tools and support, flexible delivery, scalable learning, and certification and industry alignment. Once you purchase the subscription model, you get unlimited access to live and on-demand content. It is most cost-effective for teams needing broad upskilling. Working for a banking project, security, cloud architect, API security, and DevOps practices are essential benefits for us. Simplilearn for Business was helpful in improving our productivity in business marketing. It gives a general positive impact. For the business, we observed a noticeable improvement in our team's technical skill levels and overall productivity. The structured learning paths and hands-on projects have helped employees apply new concepts directly to their day-to-day work. We have seen better collaboration across the team, as learners are now more aligned on best practices and modern tools. Technically, we can improve our code, whether it's .NET or cloud technology. We have noticed faster issue resolution, cleaner code practices, and more confidence in handling new tech stacks. We have definitely seen positive changes since using Simplilearn for Business. Skill levels have improved, teams are applying new learnings more effectively, and collaboration has become stronger. It has been a valuable platform for continuous professional growth.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"SAP Litmos brings more standardized training to our organizations."
"Content Author removes the need for a third-party solution for content creation."
"The pricing is really good; its pricing is probably the most competitive I've seen for an LMS."
"From a learning management system admin perspective, it has a user-friendly interface, but the functionality is deep. So, you can automate people in and out of courses. It lowers the general admin of an LMS admin so that I can focus more on value-adding things for the organization I'm working with."
"Its user interface is quite good, the platform is quite user-friendly, and the UI/UX of the platform is very advanced, which helps in getting the users interested in the training."
"Litmos has an excellent user interface. It's well designed and intuitive. It also has a great content engine. I'm one of the admins, so I create content in the system and use that to produce courses. We make our own training content and credit records. They recently added a new feature called the Course Content Creator, and I'm a big fan. I also like that Litmos lets you record online and face-to-face training so you can create what they call Instructor-led Training Events (ILT)."
"Its user interface is quite good. The platform is quite user-friendly. The UI/UX of the platform is very advanced, which helps in getting the users interested in the training."
"This is a very scalable solution, as we had over 10,000 students in our instance and their billing model makes scaling affordable to do."
"After learning the AI modules and AI technology from Simplilearn for Business, I see a return on investment as we can implement what we learned in our project, which saves time and enhances our ability to work faster because of AI and how straightforward it is to implement."
"The Simplilearn for Business concepts I learned, including some advanced Python concepts and AWS concepts, helped me to bridge QA automation into cloud-related topics and allowed me to apply automation at full scale in cloud-based projects."
"Simplilearn for Business has played a significant role in strengthening our organization's skill ecosystem."
"The most valuable feature was the knowledge it provided."
"The course quality of Simplilearn for Business is very good, and it is very easy to access, offering online courses versus offline courses."
"Simplilearn for Business has positively impacted my organization because after completing the courses, we have gained good knowledge of new technologies present in the market."
"We have seen better collaboration across the team, as learners are now more aligned on best practices and modern tools."
"Simplilearn Learning Hub Plus – All Access has improved our organization by enabling employees to quickly upskill in relevant technologies and industry practices."

Cons

"The solution lags in defined security parameters with only three predefined roles available."
"First of all, their issue resolution is really bad."
"The dashboards for this solution could be improved as they are not of the same standard and detail as those seen in Power BI. The graphics for the reporting could also be improved."
"The security of the SAP Litmos is not up to the standard of the organizations because if you are hosting your content in SAP Litmos or any other LMS, then one of the major concerns for the company is to secure their training data to prevent the student from copying it."
"The rules are not very flexible in terms of administration. They have a predefined system with three standard rules that cannot be customized, modified, added, or removed."
"The auto-assign feature that auto assigns courses to learners and puts them into a different learning path has had a bug for the last year and a half. My team has spent numerous hours trying to troubleshoot and fix that, but it's still broken. Until they fix that, it's going to be a higher admin burden for people to manage."
"The reporting in Litmos could be improved. It is difficult to pull accurate reporting based on how the solution is set up and parameters are selected."
"The dashboards for this solution could be improved as they are not of the same standard and detail as those seen in Power BI."
"To improve Simplilearn for Business, I think real-time classes could have reduced hours."
"While Simplilearn for Business has excellent content, the presentation and appearance of the website feel outdated and could be improved."
"There is room for improvement in providing more comprehensive knowledge."
"Simplilearn Learning Hub Plus – All Access could be improved by enhancing customer support responsiveness, fixing technical glitches in the app and LMS, and ensuring that live classes consistently match the promised schedule."
"Most of the live classes are happening on weekends, so I wish they could be scheduled on weekdays instead."
"Simplilearn for Business can be improved in terms of navigation and user interface because I believe it could be significantly enhanced."
"I think Simplilearn for Business could be improved by including some courses that connect to different real-world use cases."
"I'm not sure about the mobile app, but if we had a mobile app for Simplilearn for Business, that would be great, as most users are using mobile devices."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"When we first purchased our subscription, we underestimated how many people we would have within a billing period. We had to adjust that in the first six months. I can't remember the exact numbers, but they charge a per user rate for a certain number, and you get a discount as the number of users goes up. It scales, which is a fairly reasonable way to build a pricing model."
"I do not have any idea about the licensing, but I know that it is quite expensive."
"This solution comes at a high price point. We also paid $4500 for a migration specialist from Litmos to assist in moving our content over. You are billed every month based on the number of users who have logged in and completed training."
"The solution is priced per user which can get expensive."
"The pricing is really good. Its pricing is probably the most competitive I've seen for an LMS. If you need help with doing any type of custom design or customization, such as code design or anything like that with the site, then you have to use their people services, which would be an extra cost."
"If I have a domain and I want to link my custom domain to SAP Litmos, and if I want to remove the branding of the SAP Litmos, then they charge a large amount for it. It's not included in your subscription plan which we have purchased from them. In the last two to three years, we have never bought the custom domain. We have never linked our custom domain to SAP Litmos. The barrier for us is the high pricing. It is not a reasonable price."
"It is priced per user license."
"There are three different pricing models. One is only to use the platform and to add your own learning material. The second plan includes the learning management system plus 2000 plus pre built courses on different areas including leadership, software skills, HR and IT related training. The third package allows you to integrate the system with tools such Salesforce or other CRMs."
