"The built-in plug-ins allow administrators to easily configure monitoring components for market data systems such as Thomson Reuters Enterprise Platform and SRLabs Wombat (formerly NYSE).""ITRS uses SNMP to communicate with our devices as well as SNMP net probes installed on our servers.""Real-time log monitoring with desktop alerts is valuable as it tells us immediately when there is an issue.""This tool allows one to analyse, integrate and customize as per the systems and allows you to set your own rules.""The remarkable feature of Geneos is the dashboard. Geneos' flexible dashboard sets it apart from other monitoring tools. Other solutions have limitations in their dashboard design and can't be customized as much. The Geneos dashboard allows unlimited creativity.""In my experience, being able to monitor our databases is a valuable feature as we can create our own queries and aren't reliant on the in-built ones.""It enables us to monitor application processes, to do log-monitoring on a 24/7 basis, to do server-level monitoring - all the hardware parameters - as well as monitor connectivity across applications to the interfaces.""The clean and colorful UI and easy to use options like snooze and active times."

"The most valuable feature is the network-related reporting.""The solution is finely stable.""The solution offers very good integration capabilities.""ManageEngine OpManager is user-friendly and easy to use. Additionally, useful for basic monitoring.""Flexibility in the two view dashboard helps viewers and admins get the information they need about the fetwork in a flash.""The most valuable feature is the monitoring alerts. The administrators are immediately notified and can do the required action immediately. This is the feature we value and use the most.""It helps us a lot for monitoring our servers in one console, instead of going to individual servers.""The alerting feature has improved our organization. We can create multiple alerts and refine them to how we need to use them."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"A lightweight version which could host more than 100 gateways, as we can see slowness while loading all our gateways.""Currently, it is difficult to monitor secure websites using SSL or with SSO enabled.""It needs to be easier to configure, especially with the JMX plugins.""The deployment method for upgrading is a bit tricky. It takes a little bit of manual effort. If that could be a bit more automated, it would help us a lot.""ITRS Geneos is not on the cloud at a time when everyone is moving to the cloud.""The main feature that needs work is the Dashboard designer.""They have the Webslinger solution where you can see when something is alerting. It's a little bit cumbersome.""For the solution to stay relevant in the cloud-based monitoring environment Geneos needs more plug-ins with more features. Instead of offering clients workarounds, the solution should have a cloud-based out-of-the-box version."

More ITRS Geneos Cons →

"We have been facing an issue since last year when a lot of our users started to work from home through their mobiles or computers. We are having trouble reaching these devices. We are now planning to publish our instance to the cloud so that we can reach these devices. Its performance should be improved in terms of the discovery of the devices. I would like to feel confident with the discovery that this solution does. For example, on my dashboard, I would like to be able to view a list of all devices seen on a specific server. At present, it is difficult to find such information. This would be an excellent feature to have.""The two views into the system are very good but could be extended to further customization to fit the need of end users in a variety of roles.""You cannot resolve 100 percent of the issues yourself. You would need to reach out to the support. It needs to be cheaper.""The licensing model is confusing.""This product is little bit slow sometimes. It may be that we need to change the configuration to improve performance.""The solution is a bit difficult to configure. There are quite a number of configurations and plugins that you must handle early in the process.""There should be an option to get mobile notifications or SMS mirror notifications for critical issues. That way, when we don't have access to email, we can still receive notifications via our phones.""The integration with various OEM products could be simplified."

Pricing and Cost Advice
Information Not Available
  • "You will get the best price if you get a single global deal."
  • "The product is priced quite high. There are pricing options for customers based on the size of the environment and plug-ins used by the monitoring system."
  • "Pricing and licensing is based on the requirements."
  • "The licensing cost may seem expensive upfront. However, the service is outstanding, the tool does things that no other tools can do, and the customizability more than makes up for the cost of licensing."
  • "Pricing is the touchy subject, even here. Upper management always wants us to find a cheaper solution. But we have so much integrated with ITRS... It's expensive, but it does its job very well. And you set it and go."
  • "It is expensive. They have to look at the model around when we move to cloud and how that's going to work. The licensing cost does pay off because of the improvements in support to our business."
  • "When I first came in, their pricing was very high. ITRS had a high expectation of what their price should be based on perceived value. I think they have been realizing, more recently, that there are other competitors, so their pricing is a lot better. Licensing for on-premise is okay, however I feel there is quite some work to be done for cloud and containers. We're still working with them to try and work out what that pricing should look like."
  • "Given our spend and the amount of service we have in it, the pricing is quite reasonable."

  • "As far as cost, it was around six hundred thousand rands ($40,500) for the year, for the renewals. That's the total cost for a four thousand node system including support and maintenance."
  • "The licensing costs depend on the number of devices and accounts that are being monitored by the solution."
  • "The initial cost is low and the add-ons are reasonable."
  • "We had perpetual licenses. The cost was around 36,000 for OPManager, and then you'd have the yearly maintenance fee of 2,000 or 3,000."
  • "The licensing is on a yearly basis and the pricing is on the cheaper side."
  • "In terms of pricing, I would rate it a two out of five. It was expensive."
  • "ManageEngine OpManager has a three-tier licensing model."
  • "We have a standard license for ManageEngine OpManager. We purchased the license for one year and now we are upgrading it soon."
