Marketing efficiency with automation and exceptional support
The major reason for switching from Marketo to HubSpot Marketing Hub was the ease of use and customer care service. HubSpot offers native integrations with over three hundred third-party tools, which is a significant advantage. The platform provides various automation tools, such as AI chatbots and auto-generated emails, which enhance efficiency in marketing tasks. These features help our company use resources efficiently and achieve ROI.

Effective lead management and useability with room for reporting improvements
Customer support could be more helpful. The reporting could be better, with more engaging reports and the ability to collaborate more objects, like opportunities. Incorporating AI features similar to tools like HubSpot and Salesforce account engagement would be beneficial. Additionally, Marketo should work on automating tools and updating the product since it looks similar to how it did five years ago.

It's good at visualizing large amounts of data
You need to buy connectors to integrate Marketing Automation with various suppliers. For example, if I want to see the data through Power BI, I need a connector to see the data directly. Otherwise, you need to do everything manually. You have to download information from SAS and then save a text file, and then I can import it into Power BI. I would like Marketing Automation to have this native functionality without the need to pay more for connectors.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Ease of editing and creating templates after initial development with the Design Manager."
"The biggest reason why I like this solution is the fact that it has so much functionality. It's all contained in one product, so you don't have to use multiple products."
"HubSpot Marketing Hub is efficient and offers visibility. It also helps to track leads. I like the tool's Gmail functionality."
"HubSpot is a very helpful solution."
"Very user-friendly."
"HubSpot offers native integrations with over three hundred third-party tools, which is a significant advantage."
"The product has the most valuable enterprise features."
"With 18 companies to manage, manual handling would be impractical. HubSpot's automation facilitates pre-scheduling, greatly enhancing our efficiency."
"One of the most important things about Marketo is its focus on GDPR compliance. It helps you follow GDPR and CAN-SPAM rules. For example, with Marketo, I won't accidentally target audiences without their consent. Firstly, the Marketo Insights system will highlight new customer segments that I should engage with."
"The main feature of Marketo is sending out emails, so that would be the most valuable feature."
"It is a very user-friendly solution. I'm mainly working on Design Studio, which is useful for companies in tracking repeat users. The progressive proofing is also useful. It is not available in other solutions."
"The valuable features are list uploads, email campaigns, generating reports, source tracking, and lead attribution."
"The most valuable features of Marketo are its ease of use and flexibility."
"The most valuable feature is the scoring."
"I like that the solution is flexible."
"I like that Marketo is user-friendly and has an easy view. It's like a one-stop solution for everyone. It is very good, and you can categorize leads in different ways. You can also create your custom objects and enjoy good connectivity."
"SAP Marketing Automation is user-friendly. The interface is nice and clear. You can see the different diagrams and define various filters and targets. You can also export the customer information you collect to make the campaign. It's easy to understand how this information is entered. There are also a lot of platforms that show the results of campaigns. You can customize your data and define different reports, but SAS also provides a standard report."
"You can enable it for business users or marketing users to use it in a self-service way. So, the technical team is needed to build the features or processes, and then those processes can be used in a self-service way by your non-technical users."

Cons

"The tool should improve email marketing solution. It is behind its competitors for bulk campaigns."
"I've had some issues with granting access to third-parties to our data in a way that's still GDPR compliant. It would be better if it had a better way of creating user profiles where I can easily see who has data access to what and why."
"The solution is not recommended for launching investment."
"While HubSpot Marketing Hub has shown increased functionality, there is still room for improvement, particularly in workflows."
"Increase the CRM size for sole proprietors before increasing the fee."
"HubSpot Marketing Hub’s user interface could be more accessible for a regular user to understand."
"The search and questions aren't as intuitive as I would expect from a platform like this."
"HubSpot is mainly for enterprise clients and there is a lot of competition. There are better solutions, such as Eloqua and Marketo. This solution needs to improve the analytics for social media monitoring to a level that it can compete with other solutions available in the market. There are some limitations with the features compared to other solutions."
"One limitation is the user limit. For bigger organizations with large audience sizes exceeding, let's say, 500k, the solution may not be as efficient as larger enterprise platforms like Salesforce or Oracle Eloqua. However, Marketo is one of the best platforms for mid-scale and small-scale organisations."
"The user interface could be improved."
"Marketo's reporting and dashboarding features could be better. Compared to other tools, the visualization options with charts and graphs seem somewhat limited."
"Its APIs need to be more flexible because there are some things that are not available in the API."
"Marketo filters are not very efficient, and timely updates or features could improve this aspect."
"Some modern Marketo features could be improved."
"Customer support could be more helpful."
"Adobe, the parent company, needs to improve on getting more information published to allow users to educate themselves on how to use the solution."
"You need to buy connectors to integrate Marketing Automation with various suppliers. For example, if I want to see the data through Power BI, I need a connector to see the data directly. Otherwise, you need to do everything manually. You have to download information from SAS and then save a text file, and then I can import it into Power BI. I would like Marketing Automation to have this native functionality without the need to pay more for connectors."
"The product is highly customizable, but the marketing and business teams want a lot of things to be built out of the box. A lot of features that could be out of the box aren't there. The main concern is to keep the system in such a way that it provides you with some out-of-the-box features and some customizable features as well."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Have sufficient content before signing up for the 30-day trial."
"HubSpot Marketing Hub provided me with the startup package with 90% off, but it's still hundreds of dollars a month instead of thousands of dollars a month. There is an additional cost for training and onboarding which is hundreds of dollars. It is expensive and should be reduced."
"The licensing costs are around $4,800 per month. Initially, there's an onboarding fee of around $10,000 or $5,000, but after that, it's just the licensing fee."
"We are on an annual license for this solution. There have many different versions to meet the needs of their customers, such as professional enterprise and basic versions. They charge for the particular feature or components which are available in the license you have."
"I'd rate the solution's pricing in the middle range. I want more regular communication from our customer service manager to help us improve our use of HubSpot Marketing Hub."
"I believe an individual license costs $50 per month."
"For our organization, HubSpot was pretty affordable compared to Google Analytics."
"HubSpot Marketing Hub's pricing is reasonable. It is about 800-900 dollars a month. It may be pricey for smaller clients, but for the bigger ones, it's only a small part of their monthly revenue."
"Marketo is used a lot because it's cheaper and preferred by many firms."
"The licensing cost usually depends on the users."
"The fee for Marketo includes the number of users and the database size. If we ask for a unique feature, it will cost extra."
"It is expensive. We have a yearly license."
"The pricing is not cheap, but it's not that expensive either."
"I'm not sure about the cost because I don't get into this aspect. Clients normally take care of that. I only know that it is costly, and I don't think there are any additional costs to the licensing."
"The solution is expensive compared to others."
"Marketo is too expensive for a small-sized company but more affordable for a larger-sized company."
"I'm not aware of the full cost. The financials are not with me. In terms of additional costs, there are always OpEx and CapEx. That's one way to look at it. You also need separate hardware to deploy the product."
