Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable features are the Marketo emails, both sending and tracking.""The most valuable feature of this solution is Smart Campaigns.""The most valuable feature is the scoring.""The product has been stable.""It is a very user-friendly solution. I'm mainly working on Design Studio, which is useful for companies in tracking repeat users. The progressive proofing is also useful. It is not available in other solutions.""I like that the solution is flexible.""The main feature of Marketo is sending out emails, so that would be the most valuable feature.""The smart campaign looks quite interesting and useful."

"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Dynamics CRM is its performance.""Integration is the best feature of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. It integrates quickly across multiple apps and has a lot of APIs available that you can link to. It's very customizable, so we're able to tailor it to a client's needs.""The Outlook calendar has been very helpful for us.""I like that Microsoft Dynamics CRM works, and it's been okay. I like that it is a stable solution. My main reason for using it is that it is stable and meets our requirements from a functionality point of view.""The most valuable feature of Microsoft Dynamics CRM is that it is a low-code platform and we can perform business process management.""Microsoft Dynamics CRM brings the most value in terms of its ease of implementation.""When you have a vanilla, straightforward version, it is easy to use.""The most valuable feature of Microsoft Dynamics CRM has to be its interface...Microsoft Dynamics CRM has a user-friendly platform."

Cons
"It could be more scalable.""Its APIs need to be more flexible because there are some things that are not available in the API.""For the moment, we migrated some of our processes to Marketo and implemented them there. We had some difficulties related to this.""The user experience needs improvement, particularly in terms of ease of use and navigation between projects.""I had an issue while integrating JavaScript with forms. When you embed JavaScript, you can either embed it in a landing page or some other self-contained management system like WordPress. Currently, it provides you access to CSS, where you can customize your form design, but there is no option for JavaScript modification for a particular form. This area needs to be improved where you can integrate JavaScript, and it has the JavaScript functions for that particular form. There are a lot of other areas of improvement. In the design area, they can give us more testing options instead of relying on email testing alone. It would be great if they can provide responsive testing where email clients can be tested within Marketo. It would be also helpful if they can implement some in-built options for users or forms for blocking a generic email ID such as Yahoo or Gmail. Similarly, it would be helpful to have JavaScript features and forms as well as the option to add Google analytics and a header and footer for the landing pages.""Adobe, the parent company, needs to improve on getting more information published to allow users to educate themselves on how to use the solution.""Marketo should give more power to the users for data manipulation.""Revenue management, attribution, and ABM can all be improved."

More Marketo Cons →

"The solution's interface has room for improvement.""We had to do some customizations on top and it got a bit cumbersome.""Dynamic's management could be improved. The tech management should have better technical capabilities.""My company's biggest challenge with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is wanting to market solely to leads without having to create a contact and link the contact to the lead. From a marketing standpoint, there's room for improvement in the lead process of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.""Microsoft Dynamics CRM can improve by adding more artificial intelligence. Additionally, they should add more modules, such as account-based management, that are available on other platforms such as salesforce.com.""Microsoft Dynamics CRM could improve by making it easier to export data to SharePoint because most of our customers use SharePoint. They have to log into a Microsoft environment platform from their SharePoint for access should be made easier. Additionally, if the customer portal was enhanced for it to be customized it would be a benefit.""Microsoft Dynamics CRM could improve by being more user-friendly.""The price of Microsoft Dynamics CRM could improve."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "I'm not sure about the cost because I don't get into this aspect. Clients normally take care of that. I only know that it is costly, and I don't think there are any additional costs to the licensing."
  • "The licensing cost usually depends on the users."
  • "The solution is expensive compared to others."
  • "It is expensive. We have a yearly license."
  • "The initial pricing was excellent, but the pricing for renewals is not as good."

  • "We have to buy a separate license in order to implement the social listening feature."
  • "It's kind of pricey. It's about $50 or $60 per user."
  • "I am not the person who pays for Microsoft Dynamics CRM but it is expensive. I have been using Microsoft Azure, which Microsoft Dynamics CRM is built on, and I know we prepaid for the services. For me as a consumer, I do not think I can afford it, mainly because I am only learning how to use the AI and the rate which they charge is high. In general, Microsoft solutions are expensive and this is most likely due to the brand, this is something you expect. However, the price might be high but you receive a highly secure solution."
  • "There is a license required to use Microsoft Dynamics CRM."
  • "The price of the solution is good but could be cheaper."
  • "We have a three-year ELA with all our Microsoft solutions and often we had to do a true-up which was approximately $1,000,000. Additionally, we pay approximately $2,500 a month for support."
  • "Pricing for this software could be cheaper."
  • "The solution is open source and is free. However, it does require a Dynamics 365 subscription."
