Setup is straightforward from a business user standpoint but MAQL needs to be easier.

Macros and automation have streamlined workflows and reduced manual effort across support teams
The ability to communicate on the Zendesk ticket through the actual user software, so TOPs, would have been helpful. Somehow seeing a user's ticket history within our app would have been beneficial. That is the only thing that I do not think existed at the time that might have been helpful. Some people struggled with Zendesk, but it was always easy enough to show them how to use it and what they were missing. The only times we really had people report concerns about it was when they did not understand that it could do that or how to use it in that way.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's a good product for your end to end BI needs when its all on the cloud."
"Zendesk might seem a bit pricey at first, but once you get down to what value Zendesk can provide your company - both in terms of saved working hours, happier customers and CX data from multiple channels, it's well worth it!"
"My advice to others looking into using Zendesk is that if you need an alternative to GitHub Actions or GitHub issues, this is worth looking at."
"The way it’s set up makes it very easy for agents, end-users, and administrators to use."
"As per my experience Zendesk is a very impressive, efficient and convenient web based help desk application."
"We loved the notifications and the way to build custom views for a specific user's open tickets and to see how long they have been open, how long it was since the last request."
"In a nutshell, it's a great tool that allows you to manage all your customer service issues in one location."
"Our CS team has been able to quickly and effectively run through customer inquiries using the Zendesk platform."
"It has good management, the ability to sign tickets based on content, the multi-channel support, the self service portal, the integration with Salesforce, the setup process, and the product features as we are currently using them."

Cons

"When the source is big and/or the source is Netsuite there are issues."
"The data you get when logged in to Zendesk Support differs from the data you get when you programmatically query Zendesk Support through its API because of a sync time delay."
"Zendesk's stability on inbound calls could be improved as compared to Talkdesk."
"For smaller environments, some type of tutorial or walkthrough would be helpful for first time users."
"I would love to see an easier way to add users to Zendesk as well as a way to BCC people on tickets."
"The solution could integrate better with QR codes from some websites such as Facebook."
"I would also mention that the Zendesk app on iOS is not very good."
"It wasn't easy to set up so we're only using a third of all of the features,"
"Ticket forwarding and the ability to add subscribers to tickets as some back and forth correspondence needs to be brought to attention of several team members, sometimes across different departments."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"There are different plans that are offered. We are using the entry-level plan. The overall price of the solution should be reduced. The price is too high."
"Zendesk's licensing is not cheap. For Enterprise, we are paying $200 per agent. It's a per-month cost, so it's pretty steep. There are some services you need to pay extra for. For example, with Zendesk Guide, we had to buy the most expensive offering in order to get Multibrand and everything. We also had to pay a lot of money for themes."
"You have to pay extra for better support. So it's not only the license that you pay for, but you have to pay extra for the support as well."
"We pay for the solution on a yearly basis and my understanding is that the cost is about $30,000. That's the cost for 24 to 25 agents."
"The price is very competitive."
"From what I hear, Zendesk's pricing is a little expensive."
