No other product will give you the same visibility and data classification functions as this tool
Forcepoint enables you to clarify aspects of your data, including which data to protect for how long, what priority to assign to the data and the destinations. It's a comprehensive, dedicated solution. The interface is user-friendly and easy to manage. No other product will give you the same visibility and data classification functions as this tool. You install the agent to your endpoint, and the end user needs to label the data as confidential, private, internal, etc. After you label the document, you can confirm the confidentiality and go to the DLP to make a new policy to block the specified destination addresses at the Forcepoint level, such as network, email, RDP, etc. Forcepoint uses machine learning and AI file or database fingerprinting. This can give you an early chance to prevent incidents fast. File fingerprinting gives you 100 percent accurate DLP results.

Automating compliance processes with effective data classification
One limitation of Securiti is that it can only classify about 30% to 40% of my data. For the remaining data, even if it is PII, it may not be classified correctly. This could be due to incorrect or missing data in the dataset. Therefore, I still need to do some manual review to complete the exercise. Additionally, it would be beneficial if Securiti had a feature similar to data mesh, allowing users to directly access remote data through the Securiti UI. This would reduce the need for other tools like Snowflake.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The ease of configuration was probably one of its biggest selling points."
"The product is user-friendly."
"After the configuration, it is very stable, and in the last two years, I haven't been faced with many issues or product-related challenges."
"The solution is easy to manage."
"The Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality is another helpful feature, especially for unstructured data. Being able to discover sensitive data in an unstructured format is the most beneficial element of the solution."
"Has multiple modules and is good with integration."
"A very user-friendly predefining feature."
"One of the most valuable features is being able to see file movement, where files are going. Every week we review the files. It can identify software codes, so we code files and we know where they're going and who's doing what. It gives us visibility."
"Technical support for Securiti is good."
"The process mapping is a good tool. We have a nice view of their data."
"The automated way of identifying and classifying personal information is very beneficial."
"The drag-and-drop features make Securiti easy to use, even for individuals who are not tech-savvy."
"It's very scalable. I would rate it ten out of ten for scalability."
"The initial setup is easy."
"Their data discovery is a fantastic product."
"I would recommend Securiti to others with challenges like obtaining human resources for timely classification."

Cons

"If you are a macOS user, there are issues in the area of USB control."
"I am really impressed by the interface and management console but the requirements are very high and the response time is too slow."
"The main challenge is the solution's high cost. Additionally, there is no discount for bulk purchases, making it difficult to get budget approvals."
"There is room for improvement regarding OCR. I would like to see it enhanced to handle multiple languages and it should be easier to manage."
"The deployment and troubleshooting aspects of Forcepoint need improving."
"I'd like the data classification to be better."
"I would like to see improvement in the reporting. We can only get one week's worth of data; we can't get more than that. Also, the reporting console is very slow, making it very frustrating to use."
"They need to improve their reporting feature as well as the incident response."
"One limitation of Securiti is that it can only classify about 30% to 40% of my data."
"Technical support can be hit or miss. Some technical staff are great, but others are not very effective. On average, I would rate the technical support four out of ten."
"With the formation and education, specifically the security education, they could update the educational video more often."
"I would like their workflows and assessment automation to be more advanced compared to their competitors, especially under the pro core privacy module."
"The scalability of Securiti is not high because we have to customize the solution. It is very complicated to scale, so it needs improvement."
"It's not very fast, and it's difficult to get an answer."
"I would like their workflows and assessment automation to be more advanced compared to their competitors, especially under the pro core privacy module."
"While the software is functionally robust and intuitive, there is a challenging learning curve."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This solution is quite expensive."
"Pricing for this solution could be better."
"One feature that I'm getting ready to take advantage of more is the ability to add more data crawlers to the DLP on-prem environment, without any extra Forcepoint costs or licensing needed for that additional data server. That will help in reducing the stress on the data server that we're using now."
"Forcepoint DLP is a bit expensive."
"There is an annual subscription model and the amount depends on the type of implementation."
"The licensing of Forcepoint is quite straightforward. It's based on the number of users. The support fees are a separate cost."
"The pricing is reasonable. That's why we went with Forcepoint. They were pretty competitive."
"Forcepoint offers a more cost-effective solution because everything, including OCR, is included in one package, unlike Symantec, where it is an add-on with an additional cost."
