Find out what your peers are saying about Dropbox, Box, Microsoft and others in Content Collaboration Platforms."I don't need to carry my laptop while traveling. I just synchronize whatever I've been doing to Dropbox. After the document is synchronized, I can leave my laptop and use Dropbox wherever I am. I can also easily share a document with my colleagues, no matter how big it is. I can allow them to edit, and the editing will be instant. I can see whatever changes they've made to the document. It doesn't delete a document automatically. If I make a mistake and delete a file, it doesn't automatically delete the file. It gives you the warning to say you're deleting a file. In terms of security, I haven't had any challenges with Dropbox where they tell you that your data is compromised."
"Dropbox allows me to organize files well. I can name files in such a way as to lead students to the right destination."
"The main feature that I found the most valuable is the ability to link the documents such that they are automatically taken to a page where you can review them."
"It ensures all our staff are using the current version of our documents."
"Its usability is valuable. It is easy to use."
"Many people can use the Dropbox service and edit the data, it is simple to use."
"It is straightforward and works seamlessly."
"The security is very good."
"I think it’s probably the best self-hosted file sync tool on the market."
"Dropbox could be improved by reducing the storage price."
"While I feel the price being charged to be reasonable, it should either be more cost-effective or account for an increased amount of storage space."
"The free storage can be increased."
"Dropbox could improve by being more secure."
"The solution could be a bit less expensive."
"DropBox is a little more complicated to scale up than OneDrive. It isn't as seamless to scale up storage or change the number of users. We have two or three users in Mumbai, and we don't plan to add more."
"Dropbox, like many file sharing tools, needs to synch to a local hard drive. That is a bit difficult with 5TB Dropbox content."
"If someone manages a large amount of data, they will need more storage, which they must purchase."
"Even with fast disks, it still takes a fair bit of time to write most schema changes to multi-GB tables."
