Easy to set up, simple to use, and quite secure
We primarily use the solution for a personal secondary backup The solution is easy to use. So far, the performance has been good.  It offers a very easy setup. The integration capabilities have been good. It's very stable and quite secure.  I cannot speak to any particular areas of improvement.…

It's an inexpensive, scalable solution that has improved our security
We use Keeper to store passwords We previously kept our passwords in an Excel file. Using Keeper makes us more secure.  Keeper has strong security features.  The password rotation feature could be improved. I have used Keeper for three years. I rate Keeper eight out of 10 for stability.  I…

Straightforward to set up, good support, intuitive to use, and offers good value for the cost
The most valuable feature is being able to use a single master password to access all of your other passwords. One feature that is really important to us is the ability to create secure notes. In our scenario, these are notes such as how to get some of our devices on the network. They are processes and procedures that we don't want anybody else to see, especially within the IT department. It's a small department and we have very many processes that we use, but not on a daily basis, so we aren't going to remember them. By using LastPass and secure notes, we can go back to those notes in a secure fashion and remind ourselves how to do certain things. For instance, how to create a test database for accounting, which is something that we do once a year. We don't want that to be out in a non-secure fashion, where somebody in the public can see it.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The integration capabilities have been good."
"The synchronization is the solution's most valuable feature. It works really well. The ability to have secure notes is also very helpful."
"I like the ability to share passwords without them being visible to other team members. The auto-fill capabilities are great too."
"Dashlane's most valuable feature is Hotspot Shield, the VPN feature that allows you to connect securely to public wifi."
"I like a couple of things about this solution. Being able to share passwords with other people is valuable. You can see if the information is out on the dark web and whether you have weak passwords and the last time they were changed. You could also have the 2FA or MFA codes embedded in the application so that you don't have to use your phone or any other 2FA device, which is something very important."
"I like Keeper's mobility and its accessibility."
"The installation and its use are very simple."
"It is very easy to install and setup."
"Stronger passwords are being used across the board in our organization."
"I can access my passwords from any Internet connected device."
"Can create folders for specific types of information (i.e., work, personal, and school)."
"It has a secure password generator that incorporates random creation tools and good security practices, which allows for an easy, quick, organized update and sharing with a work team."
"One feature that is really important to us is the ability to create secure notes."
"The most valuable feature for me is being able to pair applications and user permissions."
"It is easy to use."
"It's improved security; we don't have to worry about people storing password loosely and secure them."
"Reduction in number of sensitive passwords stored insecurely on local systems."
"The most valuable feature is the liberty of keeping encrypted passwords and elevated information in a sealed vault."
"Increased security around password management for teams and collaborative efforts with external vendors."
"Off-boarding of people is easy without changing shared account passwords."

Cons

"The integration with the VPN feature could be smoother."
"The cost, while decent, of course, could always be less."
"There should also be an easier way to be able to transfer user data to other users who have kind of left the company."
"It would be nice to have the solution localized in Europe. Dashlane is an American company. It's controlled by American laws and regulations that allows the American government to have full access to my data with Dashlane. That's why I am leaving Dashlane, because we can't accept such an important function in American control."
"The user experience and the mobile app could be improved."
"Maybe a sort of category organizer to help with organizing passwords for different things, such as banking, medical, shopping, and school."
"The technical support has no experience."
"The stability of the solution can be improved."
"Ability to set up password profiles that can predefine custom fields and password complexity."
"The password rotation feature could be improved."
"Keeper does not provide password management for mobile apps."
"Possible offline access to passwords. Therefore, when internet access is unavailable, I can still access my vault."
"One thing I wish LastPass had is an integration with Active Directory, not for synchronizing users but to actually manage, in some way, privileged accounts by replacing the password of LastPass itself."
"LastPass has a problem syncing the passwords to all of the users."
"I would like to be able to reduce the log out time of the session."
"I struggle a little bit with the mobile app. As a browser extension, it works really well, and we are able to get to what we need to. However, on the phone, it's not quite as easy to navigate."
"Right now we have two products; there is the password manager and there is the authenticator app. Ideally, these should be fully integrated and support better handling of two-factor authentication or any other authenticator data."
"It is not super feature laden. It does not stand out versus the competition."
"Its user interface should be better, and there should probably be more information about scalability."
"The ability to set up an account expiration limit/date would be very useful."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is a little bit on the expensive side."
"We chose their optional annual subscription; I believe we paid monthly — I thought it was a good deal."
"Free works unless the paid is absolutely necessary."
"Just buy the yearly subscription."
"Its price is reasonable."
"ROI is hard to know, but it has to be several times the expense of the product."
"The more users, the better the price. Always opt for the live support."
"Pricing might be a little less, but with promo codes and family plan - best offer"
"The pricing is available on the vendor's website."
"I was not terribly alarmed with the pricing, and am pleased with the fact that a home license is included with each business license."
"I have been involved with many password managers. Passportal, Secret Server, CyberArk, and BeyondTrust. I chose LastPass for our organization because of the pricing. The organization didn't want to implement something really expensive. LastPass, for what it's offering, for the price that it's offering the service, is unbeatable."
"You do not have to purchase licenses for your entire organization. You can scale as adoption grows."
"The subscription model is rated at a fair price."
"The previous pricing was of good value. I don't really know, as of now, whether the new pricing is. The Enterprise license is $48 per license per year now. That is a steep increase of $24, which is what it was when we first signed up."
"The pricing and licensing are okay. Basically, at the last contract negotiation, they attempted to jack the rate up and we just said, "No." We still did negotiations with them, but they bumped everything up quite a bit."
"If you import from sources like XML, keepass, CSV files be sure to clean the import files, this reduces the adjustments in the slow tool itself."
"In terms of pricing, my feeling is that they are all roughly the same. LastPass is in line with its competitors, plus or minute a dollar or two per month."
