We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable features are the ability to prevent access to external devices, and also site blocking.""All of the features are effective, but the highlight feature of the product was the data layer inspection. When we talk about a DLP product, data packet inspection is very important. Securing data at rest is easy, but securing data in transit is challenging. We used it comprehensively to secure end drives, data transfers, secure hard drives, and end-user machines. It proved monumental in our operations.""The most valuable features are Device Control, Content-Aware Protection, Enforced Encryption, and eDiscovery.""It is easy to manage the DLP between MacOS and Linux.""The product's most valuable feature is its ability to support Linux operating systems.""The versatility regarding the exit point Endpoint Protector supports in making sure that important data doesn't leave our organization is vital for us. In the industry that we're in, data breaches are a significant concern. While our staff is contractually required to maintain confidentiality and they're all very aware that they shouldn't try and transfer company data of different classifications elsewhere to non-company devices, there's a risk.""The product is forward-looking, in my opinion, which is a requirement nowadays.""We like that content-aware and device controls can easily be managed. They're not complicated. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand them."

"The current version of the solution is stable...It is easy to scale the solution.""When you subscribe to the DLP, the system manages and protects your files well from the cloud.""The solution's most valuable feature is data leak protection.""The most valuable feature is the data classification.""ESET Safetica is a cost-effective solution for customers who need a small quantity along with a competitive price.""The most valuable things about Safetica ONE are its comprehensive features, competitive pricing, and a strong focus on data security and compliance.""Safetica ONE is easy to use and set up. We can set up rules and policies quickly.""It is a stable solution...The initial setup of Safetica ONE is simple."

Cons
"Sometimes, it should try to focus on one thing rather than multiple things. Endpoint Protector does device control very well, which is why we use that particular function.""In Linux a user can remove a getent anytime. There is no control there on the file structure in Linux. So if this solution could give us information on what users removed in the dashboard, it would help us.""Endpoint Protector, in particular, had some features to be desired for the Mac operating system.""I would rate the role-based access features for administrators a six out of ten. There's work to be done on the granularity of roles that can be assigned to an administrator but there is role-based administrator access present. That's why it's not a zero rating.""The reports and analysis could be improved. There could be a little more data, and the logs could be a little more granular, but it's nothing major. It does what it needs to do, and it's fine.""It would be helpful to implement filtering mechanisms so that we can sort and view the data based on software and vendor, providing more clarity and ease in analysis.""It needs to improve in terms of policy customization.""They have many predefined classifiers in terms of data identifiers, and they should improve this."

"ESET Safetica’s stability could be improved.""The product needs to improve support.""This solution could be improved if it was available on Linux as well. Currently it can only be deployed on Mac and Windows.""Safetica ONE fails to support Linux.""There are some minor issues with the price and support of the solution that needs to be improved.""One area for improvement in Safetica is its firewall integration feature.""The solution's most valuable feature is data leak protection.""Safetica One has every other thing that you need, so I cannot give Safetica NXT a higher mark because it does not have the full features of the enterprise solutions."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "This is a budget-friendly solution that covers all the aspects of host-level DLP."
  • "The price of Endpoint Protector by CoSoSys is more or less the same as other competing solutions."
  • "It has a fair price. They just changed recently from perpetual licensing. When I bought it, I bought it on perpetual license, then they changed the whole company policy to go to subscription. It was a bit of a shock to us because we haven't upgraded it that many times. However, after speaking to CoSoSys directly, they gave us a very good renewal price."
  • "I don't have any issue with the licensing and pricing. I would love for it to be cheaper, but at the same time I'm getting a lot from it."
  • "[The pricing] is reasonable compared to what's out there."
  • "Pricing is quite reasonable. For smaller organizations, it lets them get into the product domain, whereas a lot of vendors won't even talk to them. CoSoSys is just about at that sweet spot of being serious enough that you have to budget for it, but at the same time, affordable enough that the value is well worth it."
  • "The minimum number of licenses they sell is 50 or 150 users."
  • "For what it's doing, the cost is somewhat high for us, but it's the cost of doing business with the clients that we have."

  • "The licensing cost for this solution depends on the deal size and your use case. In our instance, it costs $35 per user per year. This is a reasonable price."
  • "The pricing for ESET Safetica is less as compared to other solutions. The customers have to pay only for the license."
  • "Customers need to pay for a yearly license per device."
  • "Safetica ONE is expensive."
