Have streamlined daily workflow and task management but still face inconvenience from recent interface changes and limited integration options
There are challenges and issues in Microsoft Teams, such as after recent updates where group chats were combined with Teams, chats, and groups into one. Users have to work with settings to make it normal again so Teams are separated from chats, and that was a really inconvenient update. Many users ask me to help make it back again to separate Teams and groups from one-to-one chats. That's probably the worst update they've made recently. Additionally, there are some minor features, such as when I work with messages, I don't have an actual forward or quote option when replying to someone's message. I need to be careful not to miss the quote sign. For a lot of people, they are confused about where the quotes option is. I've received a couple of hundred support tickets just regarding this issue. The function to share email to Teams chat doesn't work sometimes due to our compliance policies, and sometimes it would be nice to be able to forward an email to the group chat and have further discussions. Microsoft Teams could improve by being less glitchy because it glitches a lot, leading to undelivered emails and undelivered messages. It would be beneficial if the MS application Shifts, which adds functionality to groups, could be integrated into the groups calendar. Currently, many teams don't use the app because it is not integrated with the general calendar or the Outlook calendar, making it basically a useless application. The platform needs less Copilot and more people. The general Copilot integration into the platform is less glitchy, but Microsoft Teams is quite heavy and glitchy sometimes. Stability depends a lot on compliance restrictions, policies, and quality of internet. Sometimes, when updates are enrolling, the platform glitches, breaks, or shuts down.

"The UI is user-friendly and very good overall."
"Cisco Meeting Server is an easy and less complex solution."
"You can use the Cisco Meeting Server to set up conference calls and virtual meetings. Those are the two primary functions of Meeting Server. Most people in the company are using Microsoft Teams, so we only use Meeting Server when we have an internal meeting for all staff."
"The transcription feature is great."
"It is an excellent all-around communications tool that works well for business purposes."
"We use Microsoft Teams for group communications."
"Integration with document management capabilities and video conferencing."
"Message and chat retention is a valuable feature."
"I like the video call and document-sharing features."
"This is a stable solution, I have not faced any problems using the video conferencing."
"The initial setup process is straightforward for technical executives."

Cons

"Cisco Meeting Server should include a feature to control another user's screen during a remote session."
"What would make Cisco Meeting Server better is integrating it with Zoom and Teams so that you can connect or make a call through any of the two third-party solutions."
"A few features are missing on the Meetings app, like a recording function. My understanding is that you need to buy a separate recording solution. It's modular, so you have to enable some functions if you want to use them. For example, we had to enable the Mood function. Recording is the primary feature we'd like to see in the app."
"In Cisco Meeting Server, GUI is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"This is a difficult solution to install and it should be made easier."
"We have experienced response delays with the product. It can be hard to understand where to click in the solution. Also, the solution should incorporate videos like 'How to use Teams' that can be popularized among customers."
"Microsoft Teams' current features are not user-friendly, making it difficult for end-users to locate and understand them. There have also been issues with crashes, which is a concern in the current scenario."
"It is challenging to navigate the setting for the screen-sharing feature."
"Inability to call into meetings."
"The tool needs to improve its stability. There are issues when too many people use it at the same time."
"The remote control needs some improvement."
"The solution's customer support should be faster and more responsive."
"The setup of Microsoft Teams is not very easy, with occasional issues in driver installation and browser compatibility."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Licensing fees are billed yearly."
"Cisco Meeting Server has reasonable licensing costs."
"Price-wise, Cisco Meeting Server is a product that falls in a mid-range category."
"Microsoft Teams' pricing is fine."
"We have a license for the solution."
"I’m unsure about the exact cost, but I believe it’s reasonable. Using Teams for collaboration, video conferencing, and messaging helps save costs, especially for communicating with third-party companies worldwide."
"I don't think the solution is as expensive as big Webex licenses. It doesn't usually offer one-on-one licenses, so it's hard to compare. It's more expensive than the Google equivalent, but you can't replace Microsoft Teams with Google's offering."
"It is affordable because it also includes the licenses on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office and SharePoint."
"I rate Microsoft Teams an eight out of ten for its pricing."
"It is the standard license which is part of many Office packets."
"The solution has a reasonable price in the market."
