Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Impressive flexibility and support enhance integration and performance
The best feature of Blue Prism that I value the most is the simplicity of their pricing and licensing model, which is easy to understand. The tool is very robust and, being a pioneer in the sector, it is also very stable, particularly in finance where many companies rely on Blue Prism for its reliability and security standards. From a developer perspective, I find developing on Blue Prism simple, clean, and intuitive, making maintenance considerably easier compared to other tools. These AI features have helped in developing scalable and flexible solutions for my customers, as I worked on use cases that involved natural language processing to turn free text into structured data, enabling automation of previously unautomatable tasks. Additionally, I processed voice feedback for sentiment analysis and information extraction, making interactions more intuitive and voice-driven for customers.

Suitable for a small-scale business but not evolved enough for a large enterprise
The best thing with that Jacada is that they are a repository builder, which we use for our assessment to gauge and match screens. Jacada has evolved, but I'm not using the latest version. Technically we use our internal product more, which is iAutomate. We also use UiPath and Automation Anywhere…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It has provided our organization a lot of benefits, as we have reduced our headcount, approximately 200 to 300 employees, by eliminating manual, repetitive work and providing profit to the business."
"Using this solution has freed internal operations employees to do more "human value-add" work by removing mundane manual tasks."
"The impact on efficiency from Document Automation is significant, as it has given us approximately 70 to 80 percent of savings, with almost close to 90 percent efficiency and cost savings of approximately 70 to 80 percent of an FTE per person."
"Once we implemented the Automation Anywhere into my company, we freed up a lot of their time, so they could work on other processes."
"This is a perfect solution for us and Automation Anywhere helps us to close many deals."
"We are making less mistakes and have more metrics available to understand what our problems are. Now, we can do root cause analysis and have less noise in the system during the process."
"The Automation Anywhere software has improved our organization by moving us into the RPA climate and allowing us to save on our overhead."
"This tool provides us with easy accessibility for adopting the new process, as it is more user-friendly, and many new resources are able to grasp the tool and start doing the automation with ease, which is basically missing in the other vendors' tools."
"On a scale of 1-10, I rate Blue Prism a 10."
"There are a lot of features in Blue Prism that I find most valuable, not only one feature."
"It offers assessments by way of a robotics or automation readiness assessment tool, which was quite helpful."
"The most valuable features are the exception handling and embedded control room."
"It is a very stable tool that allows very complex automations."
"The tool is very technically sound."
"This solution has helped us become more efficient, as we have been able to automate certain processes, up to 85% of the work in some claims processing areas."
"The only feature that stands out in Blue Prism, as compared to other tools, is security. This is the only reason for still having Blue Prism in our bucket. It is very secure and reliable, and it has also been in the market for a very long time. We automated a lot of federal and government automation processes very recently with this solution."
"The best thing with Jacada is that they are a repository builder, which we use for our assessment to gauge and match screens."
"The initial setup was fairly straightforward."

Cons

"When we are moving from one version to another version, it's very difficult because most of the features stop working. They should first test everything and then release the new version. For example, there's a system variable known as the Excel Cell Row.... When going from version 11.1 to 11.3, this variable was suddenly not supported, and most of our bots were dependent on that. Everything went down..."
"I would like more cognitive abilities, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. E.g., if I see you, your facial recognition has to be there. If I send your picture, it should tell me your name, where you are from, and when I met you because we forget people. It should have these type of capabilities."
"It would be really good if they could give more priority to tickets which are raised by partners. Right now, Automation Anywhere customers and employees have higher priority."
"More interactions with PDFs would be great for Automation Anywhere. The ability to use more legacy technology for object cloning, flash plugins, etc. A lot of their Excel commands could use some improvement."
"We would like to have more ease of use for the operations team."
"I have been using IQ Bot, and its accuracy can be improved. It could be more accurate."
"Automation Anywhere can improve by implementing a Citrix environment and increasing the stability of tools, such as IQ bot."
"We have in-house, a few variables, which we use from technical perspectives. We don't have them in Automation Anywhere, but they introduced them yesterday."
"Technical support is in need of improvement."
"Blue Prism is expensive to scale because there are costs associated with additional licenses and improvements to infrastructure."
"For me, I feel that it is lacking in features. It consists of simple actions that work quite well together, and the integration is good but the scope of things that you can do is too narrow."
"There are a couple of challenges in Blue Prism's latest version."
"This solution is lacking attended automation, which is the worst thing about this solution."
"They should add more OCR engines to it."
"I would like to see wider integration with other products."
"Blue Prism develops its own tools and process automation, but the documentation is unclear and incomplete."
"They need to create a workflow system."
"When we first started using Jacada, the technical support was not good at all; however, they were just getting started then."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost of this solution is a little bit high, but it is worth the price."
"In terms of monetary savings, we automated a bot in three days that has saved us $30,000 in costs."
"It's a bit expensive compared to other RPA tools on the market."
"We were paying approximately $30,000 for a year license."
"Although the initial implementation cost of Automation Anywhere is relatively high compared to other options, its annual subscription cost is lower than UiPath's, which has the opposite pricing structure."
"Automation Anywhere pricing and licensing are competitive compared to the other automation vendors."
"The pricing is reasonable and one can achieve ROI faster when compared to other tools."
"From my experience, I can say that the initial setup cost is easily recovered over a period of time once the bots start running in production."
"The solution is expensive."
"In the Philippines, fewer companies are using Blue Prism because of its cost. I don't know the price, but I know that its price is higher than UiPath."
"The pricing is really good for an enterprise-level solution. It's quite scalable and it's quite comparable with the market."
"The price of Blue Prism is high compared to others solutions. It would be helpful if they could provide a trial version for new users to try. Other vendors provide a community or trial version. There are not any hidden costs."
"Blue Prism is an expensive solution, especially in Southeast Asia, while in Europe and the UK, it can be considered moderate in terms of cost."
"There is a one-time purchase fee for this solution."
"The tool’s licensing is on a monthly basis."
"This is a very expensive product and this is the reason that they're losing their market share."
