"The simplicity of the dashboard is very good.""The most valuable feature is the ability to receive in-depth information about applications. It can detect a lot of important information.""The monitoring so far has been good and we are happy with it.""We appreciate the way that this solution allows us to monitor the ongoing status of the UI at any given time.""One valuable feature is that the synthetic alert stays open until the issue is resolved. You can actually monitor whether your system is back up.""It offers helpful user metrics so we can learn more about the user experience.""The stability of New Relic APM is very good.""The breakdown of the response time of different components and getting in-depth details of the slow component are the most valuable features. Cons
"In my opinion, they should improve the overall user experience, especially when it comes to indexing and searching collective logs.""They need to work with other cloud providers - not just Azure.""Azure Monitor could improve the visualization aspect and integrate better with other third-party services.""It might not have all of the capabilities we will need.""I'd like the solution to do more around vulnerability assessment. It's lacking in the product right now.""I would like more transparency when we use the solution with another environment, like on-premises, or on another cloud environment, like AWS or GCP.""Lacks information including details related to where problems lie.""This solution has fewer features than some of its competitors, so adding more features to it would make it better."

"One thing I'd like to see in any APM, especially New Relic, is the ability to use distributed transactions. When one microservice calls another, it calls another database and microservice. The entire data visualization layer will not be able to correlate from one microservice from end to end and return on that path. Distributed transactions would be a great addition that would make life simpler. Unfortunately, no APM has that end-to-end capability.""The solution is quite expensive.""The UX/UI design of New Relic APM could be improved. The solution currently has some slow pages in terms of loading and viewing the pages, for example, the reports. The reports and other pages take a long time to load.""I would like the ability to set up certain dummy accounts and do the actual things that the customer is doing, without impacting the production environment.""It would be nice if there were pre-made dashboards.""New Relic APM is a good tool, and it has a database of failures, but it could use a list of customer-specific failures. New Relic APM should be able to give my company advanced analytics through AI.""New Relic APM could improve error debugging and the correlation with the logs. We are receiving some alerts or alarms but we need to correlate with the error log, but it is difficult if it is more than seven months retention period, it is hard to trace. We need this especially for getting historical information.""Data Dog captures the entire session and then provides it as a video player path, which gives more insight into what the user was doing. It's pretty impressive. New Relic does that, yet it only captures using a couple of screenshots, which is not very detailed since you are unable to see the entire user flow."

    Reviews from Real Users

“To me, the most valuable feature of New Relic APM is the traceability, mainly based on the time travel method, so you get the overall response time, which is pretty helpful for developers and ADR techs looking into issues on a deeper level. “ - Sreenivasula M., Sr. Engineer of Quality Assurance at a tech consulting company.

The alert mechanism is quite accurate when something goes wrong in your system. For example, if you have hundreds of APIs on your server, and any of the APIs is not performing well, you get an alert. When there is a drop or change in the threshold value, the beauty of New Relic is that within a fraction of seconds, all the stakeholders who are configured in the New Relic system will get an alert. That's one good thing.” - A PeerSpot user who is a Middleware Specialist at a tech services company.
