Network automation has reduced troubleshooting time and supports faster issue resolution
The biggest and best feature I have experienced with Auvik Network Management (ANM) is automatic network discovery, along with features such as topology map, instant alerts, real-time monitoring, easy remote access, and simple dashboards. Among those features, I find automatic network discovery to be the most useful because it gives a clear picture of the entire network without having to create manual diagrams. It is very easy to use Auvik Network Management (ANM), so even a new team member can quickly understand the network because everything is displayed in a very clear way. Auvik Network Management (ANM) has positively impacted our organization by reducing troubleshooting time, improving network visibility, providing a very clear picture, and helping us support multiple client networks and environments very efficiently. We have noticed a 35 to 40% improvement in troubleshooting speed, less manual work in documenting any network system, faster responses to network issues, and better uptime with the client networks.

The solution is useful for monitoring network devices, but the interface is old-fashioned
The solution is useful for monitoring network devices We use it for up-and-down monitoring features. It’s an old solution. It has an old-fashioned interface. The product must provide a compliance testing feature. I have been using the solution for six years. I rate the tool’s stability a ten…

"Auvik started providing value right away."
"Auvik Network Management (ANM) serves as a backbone for monitoring and proactive and reactive responses, which is faster than before."
"Auvik has definitely impressed me; it seems like it's very lightweight, yet it gives you a lot of features."
"The solution is useful for monitoring network devices."
"This is a product that I can recommend."
"I have found that it has a good GUI and user-friendly administration."
"Its initial setup process is straightforward."
"Since we have been using it for the last five years we have done very well with reference to ROI."
"Network tracking is the most valuable feature of Network Analyzer."
"It is highly customizable and can be integrated well with third-party software."
"The network monitoring feature, especially, stands out to me."

Cons

"Auvik's network map along with its dashboard gives a real-time picture of our network. However, if a device is unreachable, there is no indicator for that, at least from what I have seen. If it is offline, there is an indicator for that, but if it is unreachable, there is no indicator."
"The map itself is a little clunky in terms of zooming in, zooming out, and moving around because you have to use the manual on-screen buttons as opposed to being able to click and drag."
"Something else I would like to see would be additional vendors for the hardware life cycle. Right now, they mainly focus on Cisco stuff, which is fine, but not every customer we have uses Cisco."
"I don't like how Auvik handles their multi-site and site terminology compared to other tools."
"The pricing always has room for improvement."
"For new users, the initial setup and customization of Auvik Network Management can be a bit complex, especially for those without sufficient experience in network or IT tools."
"They may need to add some more integration pieces with different vendors. For example, API keys aren't available for certain vendors. While everything that I have works with Auvik and gets monitored by it, there are a few network items I have that I would like to see deeper integration with..."
"I want to see improvements to the interface, as it's data-heavy and challenging to navigate. This makes it harder to delegate and have junior staff look around and figure out the solution. A more straightforward interface would be a welcome improvement, whether by making it cleaner or more intuitive."
"I think the reports can be improved. They're adopted."
"They need to have some automation models embedded in them."
"There are some loopholes you need to be aware of from a security perspective."
"Nagios Network Analyzer should integrate an application monitoring solution to monitor application bandwidth usage."
"The bandwidth for its front-end version needs enhancement."
"The graphics and reports can be a little bit better."
"There is room for improvement on the setup side."
"It's very hard to install materials. You need a lot of documentation. They should make it easier to install and configure the solution."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's absolutely worth the money. I would probably charge more if I were them. They don't charge you for anything that's not a router, switch, or firewall controller, or a network device. So, you can throw anything like servers and ESX hosts."
"Their licensing model is basically per managed device. You pay X amount per managed device, and managed devices are limited to switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless LAN controllers. So, the only things that we pay for are our switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless LAN controllers, but there are orders of magnitude more devices that Auvik manages that we don't pay for. It also manages servers, workstations, and phones. Auvik will gather KPIs from anything that is connected to the network if it can be managed via a standard like SNMP or WMI. There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."
"The value is there. It's not that expensive per device and it's licensed per device. Unlike some of the other tools that I use, it's not real expensive. It's a good value for the price."
"The pricing is reasonable, neither exceptionally cheap nor excessively expensive—it aligns well with what I anticipated."
"It's great for small businesses, but when you start reviewing the pricing model, depending on how many devices, and what sub-devices you decide to pull in, it can get tricky as far as the pricing goes."
"Auvik is affordable. The license was under $4,000 annually for our setup. That covers a lot of switches, firewalls, and integration. It was well worth the price. I think it's around $20 per device per quarter."
"The pricing seems fairly competitive with what may be out there. We haven't looked around too much, but the pricing is very reasonable."
"What is good about Auvik is that it is a monthly spend versus a CapEx."
"They charge around ten thousand per month for one thousand nodes. That is their overall cost, but it differs on which company you are applying to, whether you are a service provider or an enterprise."
"The solution is cost-efficient."
"I rate Nagios Network Analyzer's pricing a six out of ten."
