Importantly, when someone leaves the company, it helps protect document access on their devices.

Customer Service

Microsoft Intune support feedback is mixed, with faster resolutions at premium levels but slow response at basic tiers.
Sentiment score
1.0
Automox's technical support is praised for quick, expert issue resolution and superior, attentive service compared to larger companies.
Sentiment score
4.2
Ivanti’s support is responsive and expert, resolving issues swiftly, but users prefer direct communication over just link sharing.
When a support ticket is submitted, it directly reaches someone with Intune support expertise.
When I contacted Microsoft, they had the same expertise, if not more, which is phenomenal because I felt heard and my problem was solved.
Sometimes, the support provided is excellent, and the representative is knowledgeable, while other times, the service needs improvement.
They are really good because they don't take five days to get back to me; they respond within 24 hours with really good information.
It's always better to jump on a call and share screen, which they are willing to do rather than just going through a list of troubleshooting steps.
Their technical support is generally good in terms of quality and speed.
They provided detailed information that helped me convince the security team to approve the necessary port openings.

Scalability Issues

Sentiment score
6.7
Microsoft Intune excels in scalability, efficiently managing thousands of users and devices across diverse environments, supporting seamless expansion.
Sentiment score
1.0
Automox offers effective scalability for managing thousands of devices, though some experience console load time issues.
Sentiment score
5.6
Ivanti Endpoint Manager scales effectively for mid-sized and large environments, maintaining performance and control over numerous endpoints.
The scalability of Microsoft Intune is ten out of ten.
Ideally, we want to automatically segregate devices based on user properties like primary use, but currently, dynamic groups seem limited to device properties.
It supports organizations with 200 endpoints and those with more than 15,000 endpoints.
I rate the scalability of Ivanti Endpoint Manager around seven to eight because it offers options to manage the devices effectively, requiring only the addition of licenses.
Ivanti Endpoint Manager is indeed scalable.

Stability Issues

Sentiment score
6.6
Microsoft Intune is stable and reliable, with users rating its performance highly despite occasional update or sync issues.
Sentiment score
1.0
Automox is stable and reliable, with improved uptime and proactive incident response, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent system health.
Sentiment score
7.1
Ivanti Endpoint Manager offers stability and reliability, with minimal downtime, but may lag when managing many devices simultaneously.
We have not experienced downtime, bugs, or glitches.
It appears Microsoft Intune undergoes changes without informing customers.
Microsoft Intune has been very stable.
Regarding stability and reliability, I have never seen the server go down or any functionality taken offline.
Due to the large number of devices in our environment, when we load the console for the first time, it takes a while to update the database.
For stability, once you get the system up and running, it's consistently stable without any lagging, crashing, or downtime.

Room For Improvement

Microsoft Intune needs better application deployment, reporting, macOS/Linux support, platform integration, user-friendliness, remote desktop, and competitive pricing.
Automox users desire improved multi-organization management with profile sync, detailed reporting, enhanced automation, and reduced bandwidth for updates.
Ivanti Endpoint Manager needs a user-friendly interface, better cloud integration, and more customizable reporting, amid costly pricing concerns.
Features like unlocking devices sometimes fail, and the support offered for other operating systems is insufficient.
There are communication issues, so you might start working with a feature without knowing if it will be deprecated six months from now.
Many third-party companies offer single-pane-of-glass reporting that shows you what your update environment looks like, how your patch is doing, application status, etc., but Intune's reporting is not intuitive.
It lacks features like easy connection to remote computers and has a complicated software deployment process.
I would suggest improvements in the console interface of the Ivanti Endpoint Manager as it appears outdated, reminiscent of the early 2000s.
When we offboard a user, sending the wipe command or lock command is slightly slower than Workspace ONE.

Setup Cost

Microsoft Intune offers cost-effective prices with Microsoft 365 bundles, flexible licensing, and discounts for large volumes or specific sectors.
Automox offers competitive, cost-effective pricing with a $2 per-endpoint fee and a free trial for evaluation.
Introductory professional services, like a fast-track service, were included with our E5 membership, and there have been no additional costs.
The Intune suite and add-ons, such as batch management and remote help, are costly.
It costs approximately forty euros per user per month.
The transition to a Software-as-a-Service model led to significant price increases without corresponding enhancements in the platform.
Ivanti Endpoint Manager charges a flat fee for the implementation and product purchase, followed by yearly maintenance

Enables management of multiple operating systems with a single license
The best feature is that it's a Microsoft product, so if anything goes wrong, we get quick support for anything required. Remote system functionality allows us to sit anywhere and take control of any device via remote management. We can enhance security for clients' laptops with built-in Microsoft Defender, which is available with the Microsoft Intune license. We use it for reporting purposes through endpoint analytics. When pushing scripting, there are two types available: remediation script and reservation script. Through endpoint analytics, you can push defender policies to clients. It helps with reporting, inventory updates, and monitoring tenant status health.

Easy to use and deploy agents but needs more stability
We just need to deploy the agent to the endpoints. We don't need to set up anything. For a single agent, it takes one or two minutes. However, we deployed globally, and you need to take into consideration the time it will take to deploy across each endpoint. It's very simple to deploy. We had three or four engineers take care of the implementation.

Has consistently offered in-depth customization and reliable patch management across environments
The most valuable features of Ivanti Endpoint Manager are its customization options for the agent, as you can customize patching cycle settings, maintenance windows, and reboot policies. Within a device group, all these settings can be customized based on the agents. The user interface of Ivanti Endpoint Manager is very practical and easy to understand, providing comprehensive information without clutter. It is simple enough for me to conduct a knowledge session for teammates, and they quickly grasp where each option is located. Regarding automated patch management, it allows me to download patches without manual intervention. Whenever a fresh list of patches is available on the server, I can schedule a task that automatically pulls all the new patches, but I prefer to manually control the deployment of these patches. Reporting in Ivanti Endpoint Manager allows me to create LDAP-based queries, and once I have a bit of knowledge, I can build my queries to determine what version of Chrome is installed on how many devices. It provides CSV files that serve as raw data for building reports, and I can set it to automatically email reports on a weekly or monthly basis as per my schedule.
