Custom reporting tool with field grabber, easy modules for recruitment and provides numerous options for integration
The complexity is the key challenge with a tool like ADP because it has all the bells and whistles and all the key features you can possibly think of. If it isn't there, there's always a third-party vendor you can integrate that way. But the only issue is that because it's complex, there needs to be some sort of system, at least on the back end, for the admins to understand what leads to what. We expect AI to improve multiple things with HR processes. The most obvious and common one would be the self-service function for employees, like a chatbot to help with FAQs. We are also building an AI tool that can possibly help managers make better talent management decisions. This tool will pull from the performance management tool, the talent profile, and the reports that we generally have to score employees across all different dimensions.

Supports recruitment workflows effectively but requires better AI search and mobile capabilities
Oracle Taleo lacks AI right now when everyone is transitioning into AI. It is very limited with a single word search. A chatbot could be added to Oracle Taleo as most of the current existing tools have. Career site redirection could be more advanced with the user interface.AI-assisted search can help in the sourcing platform, which would be an added advantage compared to Oracle Taleo. The filters are good, but when trying to use a Boolean search or customize search options, it only takes a limited selection of keywords. AI could help in more advanced search capability, which might be a drawback for Oracle Taleo. Additionally, creating campaigns and bulk messaging is lacking.Regarding the mobile-friendly candidate experience, there are better options from other tools. You are limited to the approval part. Difficulties arise when wanting access to applications or dashboards connected to Oracle Taleo or viewing the transition on mobile. When it comes to stability and performance, there are prior communications about downtimes on Saturdays, but there are some issues during weekdays which are faced occasionally. The scalability aspect is not quite scalable.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product allows for accurate, consistent payrolls."
"The most valuable features are the reporting and benefits piece."
"I love the integration of HR, payroll, tax filing, benefits, time and attendance, GL, ACA, employee/manager self-service, reporting and analytics."
"For small to mid-sized companies, Workforce Now is one of the better products on the market, clean with an easy interface that is simple to maneuver around, stable, and will continue to improve into the future."
"It is hard to go wrong with choosing ADP as a solution for nearly any company."
"In my day-to-day work, attendance tracking would be most important. That's because I have a really diverse group of employees, and I have a subset of younger folks who are struggling with their attendance. So, that's the thing that I'm most involved with currently."
"The most interesting feature for me on ADP is the custom reporting tool. It's got something called a field grabber, which makes it so much easier to generate your own custom reports simply by pulling tabs from any feature."
"It is a scalable solution."
"The workflow is good in Oracle Taleo, and the user interface has standard clear instructions and providers."
"It is easy to use. Requisition management and pre-screening are the two most valuable features."
"Oracle Taleo's integration capabilities are good."
"The product remains stable, and Oracle is investing further to improve and enhance it."
"The Talent Acquisition and Headhunting features are good."
"It is a really competitive solution in terms of technical features and user experience."
"It works okay, I've found good resources using Taleo, it saved me a lot of time, I just put a requisition in and then I just grab the candidates, the resumes, and I scan them, okay, I want this guy, I don't want that guy, the rest is done by HR, so it's less trouble for me as a manager, and I am dealing with a very special group of people."
"The product's stability is good."

Cons

"The Call Centre: The extension number takes too many digits to get through and the wait time is too long."
"I would like to see the payroll side improved and there are a few kinks that need to be worked out."
"Their “new and improved” message center (where you get notifications and go to approve things like time off) is actually not as easy as it used to be."
"The workflow is a bit weak."
"When I'm not working with the implementation team and I'm just talking to customer service or something, they're just not a lot of help. They don't understand how it works. They'll tell you to do something that I know would affect something else. So, it's less about the software and more about just training their folks to a higher level."
"The report functionality is not as good as competitive products."
"Support leaves a lot to be desired."
"Its benefits portal could be user-friendly."
"Customer support. It is very cold, you put a ticket in and you might get a response back an hour or two later."
"I don't see very valuable features in this product because it has an old way of interpreting ATS. It should be more flexible in managing datasets and data searches. The screening data is a long process in Taleo."
"For larger enterprises, Oracle Taleo may not stand out due to other available tools in the market that offer more features and scalability."
"Because when Oracle claims that, "Oh, it's all on the business side," it's not."
"There are always going to be little caveats here and there that you might not have known about as far as changes are concerned, however, it's not business-oriented to the point where the business shuts down."
"It would be beneficial if Oracle Taleo included AI-based CV screening, rather than just keyword matches."
"The pricing could be improved."
"The recruiting section needs work."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution is expensive."
"The pricing is expensive and I would say it is below average for the value it provides based on the high cost."
"I give the pricing a seven out of ten."
"It is expensive."
"The solution is expensive and everyone complains about the price."
"I know some of what we're currently paying. Most customers would say it's too high, but I don't have a comparison to know that."
"Whether you pay annually or on some other payment schedule depends on the license model you choose. Typically, clients pay a yearly subscription."
"Oracle Taleo is an expensive solution."
