Zoho Campaigns integrates with Zoho CRM and third-party apps, streamlining email marketing tasks using automation and scheduling tools. Marketers gain from features such as tracking email engagement, list segmentation, and workflow customization. Enhancements like A/B testing, CRM integration, and Google Analytics support improve campaign outcomes. While affordable and accessible via the web, users encounter issues with spam deliverability and slow interface. Additional requests include SMS bulk messaging and improved ease of setup. Reporting requires more clarity, and synchronization with deals lacks immediacy.
What are the key features of Zoho Campaigns? In industries like youth organizations and training programs, Zoho Campaigns facilitates email marketing, updates, and event promotions. Its capabilities support multiple communication sequences, offering automatic responses and contact management for effective marketing strategy execution.
| Author info | Rating | Review Summary |
|---|---|---|
| CRM Team Leader at a tech company with 201-500 employees | 4.0 | Zoho Campaigns is reliable and stable, allowing us to manage cycles, workflows, lists, and segmentations effectively without handling each campaign individually. However, report clarity needs improvement, and using Zoho Analytics is often necessary for better data insights. |
| Co-Founder at Youth Initiative Development Programme | 3.0 | I use Zoho Campaigns for managing promotions at my youth organization, benefiting from its CRM integration and automation features. However, our emails often go to spam, affecting visibility, which is a significant issue compared to other solutions. |
| Project Manager at a tech services company with 1-10 employees | 3.5 | I used Zoho Campaigns for creating campaigns and integrating with CRM, leveraging features like AB testing and segments. However, I faced challenges with UI lag and lengthy email review times, leading to no ROI and considering alternatives. |
| Zoho Developer at Techloyce | 4.0 | We use Zoho Campaigns to create email campaigns, appreciating its ability to schedule them effectively. However, the solution needs improved deliverability and a feature to remove unresponsive contacts. Despite this, it provides a good return on investment. |
| Zoho Product Consultant, Solution Architect, Creator Trainer at Homepreneur | 4.5 | I use Zoho Campaigns primarily to send emails for my Zoho Creator courses' limited batches. The most valuable feature is setting up chain campaigns based on user interactions. My usage is basic, and I have no additional feature needs. |
| Director, International Sales and Marketing at a tech services company with 11-50 employees | 3.5 | I find Zoho Campaigns good for simple drip campaigns with an easy builder. However, it demands significant, non-intuitive setup, often requiring coding-like effort, despite eventually delivering a good ROI after initial work. |

While the integration with other applications like MailChimp could improve, I find the returns satisfactory. I look forward to enhanced bulk messaging capabilities. |
| Zoho Developer and Consultant at a consultancy with 10,001+ employees | 5.0 | We use Zoho Campaigns for email marketing due to its valuable integration with other Zoho applications, making it more powerful than alternatives. However, it needs enhancements to improve domain reputation and prevent emails from going to spam. |
| Senior Zoho Developoer at Techloyce | 4.0 | I use Zoho Campaigns for managing marketing processes like automated emails and responses, and appreciate its integration with Zoho CRM. While automation is a strong feature, I wish it offered website traffic insights similar to Mailchimp. |
| CEO at a tech services company with 11-50 employees | 4.5 | I use this simple, inexpensive cloud-based email solution, finding it easy to access and set up. Its pricing is very competitive, but I think its anti-spam capabilities need improvement. I rate it 9/10. |

The best use case of the product is the cycles.
It is a very reliable and stable tool. We can use workflows and have different lists and segmentations. It is not a one-shot campaign. We don’t have to manage every single campaign. It is very interesting to use. If a customer wants to send us different information, they can do that using the workflows.
The reports are not so clear. Sometimes we need to send information to Zoho Analytics to get the information in the way we want.
I have been using the solution for at least two years.
Overall, the solution is stable. This year, when we made a change, it affected some campaign that was on at the moment. It was critical for us. People who should not be receiving emails were receiving them. Zoho acknowledged that it was a fault on their site, not a configuration on our site. After that, we are extra careful when we use Campaigns.
In my organization, 20 to 30 people are actively using Zoho Campaigns. Usually, one or two people from the marketing team use the product.
When we contact support, sometimes it takes two to three days or even more to get a satisfying answer. It is time-consuming. I'm not sure if it's because of the high demand that the team has to support. At some point, it seemed to me that they were not prepared.
I've been using support for three years. I noticed some changes. Support used to be more personal. Suddenly, it is like we have no direct contact with the team. We could not reach them through chats. We can reach them only through emails. I could see that they were trying to be automated in the way they provide customer service.
I have worked with MailChimp. It is a very good tool. Zoho Campaigns is not as intuitive as MailChimp, but it is definitely a very reliable and stable tool. It's a good deal once we start using and understanding the navigation.
The initial setup is not as easy as setting up Zoho CRM. There are different concepts. I am not from the digital marketing world, so it was not clear to me how to manage lists, what the difference is between a list and a campaign, and how the syncing process works. We can sync information from Zoho CRM to Zoho Campaigns, but it's not very clear how the sync works. The product had a lot of new concepts for me.
We have to install every single software individually. We have to enable the application for the license we wish to use. We have five different licenses, but we cannot use all 55 applications using the five licenses. After enabling the application, we must do the initial settings and the integration process to sync the information between Zoho Campaigns and Zoho CRM.
Since the product is part of a bundle, it is definitely very cost-efficient.
People should definitely use the solution because it's part of Zoho Suite. Connecting and creating campaigns with the context database on our CRM is very easy. It's definitely something that we should try. However, it is better to start with a one-shot campaign and get acquainted with how to create templates and lists. Once we understand it well, we can move to email workflows and other advanced features. Start with the basics.
I am not an advanced user of the product. I'm not from the marketing team. I know there's a lot of potential there because I've seen some videos on YouTube. They took some time to launch some of the very basic features. The product took a long time to release the HTML editor. It was something that we wanted for a long time. Overall, I rate the tool an eight out of ten.

I use Zoho Campaigns to run my youth organization. We use to manage promotions for our events, such as the upcoming youth convention we will host in Kenya this August. We're expecting upwards of 400 guests from around the continent.
Zoho Campaigns is a great product. It's easy to use. Zoho Campaigns is integrated with my CRM, so I can see everything happening within my company from the dashboard. I can manage and group my contacts and automate reporting. I enjoy checking on the metrics for my campaign. It also gives me the option of linking with Google Analytics, but I like Azure analytics better.
When we use Zoho Campaigns, our emails often get routed to the spam or promotion module instead of the inbox. For example, people who use Gmail to receive our newsletter will often miss it because it was sent to their promotion module or folder. Many of our clients aren't seeing our work. We compared it to another solution, and the open rate was much higher because the emails went directly routed to the inbox.
I have used Zoho Campaigns for several years.
I rate Zoho Campaigns eight out of 10 for stability.
I rate Zoho Campaigns six out of 10 for scalability.
I've contacted Zoho support for some minor things. It was a positive experience. They were proactive.
Positive
The setup didn't take long because we started from scratch and had no data to deploy. Our team already knew how to use the solution, so they only had to change some settings, and it was ready.
We are using the free version of Zoho Campaigns and thinking about whether to upgrade to the commercial edition. The price is competitive. Still, it's a little expensive for a startup.
I rate Zoho Campaigns six out of 10.

I created a lot of campaigns and journeys for people who want to send a journey based on whenever a lead is entered into the system, when they have scores that hit, and when there's some testing. I did a lot of things inside Zoho Campaigns, like segments and mappings.
Zoho Campaigns is a good software for email marketing. Zoho Campaigns has a lot of integrations as well. For example, we can customize and integrate it with the CRM because it does not only stick with one software.
We can integrate Zoho Campaigns with different third-party software as well. The AB testing and segments are other useful functionalities of Zoho Campaigns.
I have found two or three issues with Zoho Campaigns. If we add any email content, Zoho Campaigns takes a lot of time to review by the back end.
Two years back, a client set up Zoom Campaigns, and the lead was not entered into the campaign. The flow and everything else was fine, but entering the journey or the campaign took time. My company lost a customer because it took two weeks to review the emails we entered into that content.
Zoho Campaigns has to improve its UI because sometimes it won't load the campaigns, and the software is a little lagging. So that's why people have started moving to Zoho marketing automation instead of Zoho Campaigns.
Zoho Campaigns should include immediate sync for the deals model because it's still not there. Whenever a lead is entered, it is immediately synced, but there is no immediate sync for the deals.
I have been using Zoho Campaigns for more than three years.
I rate Zoom Campaigns six and a half out of ten for stability.
I rate Zoom Campaigns six and a half out of ten for scalability.
The initial setup of Zoom Campaigns is easy and doesn't take much time.
We don't see a return on investment with Zoho Campaigns.
Zoho Campaigns is not that expensive as compared to other solutions like MailChimp. However, its pricing model has some limitations as we have to purchase the premium or enterprise version.
Zoho Campaigns is deployed on-cloud. Nowadays, people are not using Zoho Campaigns because it has less functionality. People are moving into Zoho marketing automation, which is much better than Zoom Campaigns and has more functionality.
I advise users to purchase Zoho marketing automation instead of Zoho Campaigns.
Overall, I rate Zoho Campaigns a seven out of ten.

We use the solution to create email campaigns.
The solution helps us to design emails using different tools and create target groups. This way, we can generate leads or reach potential customers.
The solution's most valuable feature is its ability to schedule email campaigns based on our requirements. Using it, we can plan a campaign in a month, week, or year.
The emails sent using the solution bounce many times. Its deliverability could be improved. Also, there needs to be a feature for automatically removing contacts not responding to emails.
We have been using the solution for four to five months. At present, we are using the latest version.
I rate the solution's stability an eight out of ten.
I rate the solution's scalability a seven out of ten.
The solution's initial setup process is easy.
The solution generates a good return on investment.
The solution's price is reasonable.
I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

I am a Zoho Creator Trainer, and I use Zoho Campaigns to reach out to my audience when I launch a new Zoho Creator course. Annually, I do two batches with only five to six candidates per batch. It's a very limited batch, and it's open only for a limited period of time. During that time, I send out my emailers via Zoho Campaigns. Other than that, I don't use the solution much.
My emails are to a niche audience. This solution has helped me understand who are still interested in the same niche, and who have moved on to other interests
The most valuable feature of Zoho Campaigns is its ability to set up chain campaigns depending on the user's reaction. Suppose that our campaign has multiple links and multiple action point buttons. Depending on which one gets clicked, you can take your audience through a journey of nurturing and lead them to where they need to be.
My usage is limited to the basic features. I don't really see any need for any additional features that are not available.
I have been using this solution for over 10 years.
Zoho Campaigns is a very stable solution for a normal user like me.
This is scalable. I have witnessed scalability for other ZCampaign customers.
The technical support are very supportive.
Positive
The well-guided on-screen instructions helped to set up the solution.
I implemented the solution myself.
The solution's pricing is reasonable. I have a Zoho One account that comes bundled up with Zoho Campaigns.
Zoho Campaigns comes under Zoho Cloud.
I'm happy with the generic report stack available on Zoho Campaigns. I am not a data analyst. I understand simple English and simple sentences. So these reports help me understand how many people open my email, and beyond that, I don't need other insights. If somebody clicks on a Zoho Creator course, I know it's the right target I have to reach. In the same email, if somebody clicks on my website, I know they are more interested in understanding my credibility before they get interested in the course. This way, my needs are solved based on the generic reports.
Since it interfaces with other parts of Zoho, I would recommend Zoho Campaigns to other users.
Overall, I rate Zoho Campaigns an eight or nine out of ten.

We use Zoho Campaigns because we use Zoho. They're not particularly sophisticated campaigns. They're drip campaigns. They might have about six or seven steps in them. We have contacts, and we might send them a communication, usually an email but it could also be some other channel, and get some kind of feedback from them or not. Depending on the feedback or not, we send another communication to them, and so on. So, we have campaigns that run about six or seven steps for that.
Putting the campaigns together on Zoho is reasonably straightforward. They have a little campaign builder tool that works very well as long as you don't want the campaign to be too sophisticated. Building a campaign on HubSpot is more difficult, but it can be more sophisticated. That's the primary difference between the two environments, but for what we want to do, Zoho is perfectly fine. We don't see a yawning gap in the functionality.
Zoho's overall usability could be improved in every module.
It takes a lot of work to get it set up the way you want. It's not an intuitive product. It takes coding work to get the sales process to work. That setup process could be simplified significantly.
We have been using it for seven years now.
It's a pretty stable product. They handle upgrades and increases in functionality quite nicely.
It's pretty scalable. We've had 20,000 contacts in this one.
It's about the same as HubSpot. There's a piece of work to be done, and you can do lots of things that, for instance, you can't do in HubSpot, but you have to be almost in the state of writing code to make it work.
For deployment and maintenance, there are about two people.
The guys who are responsible for that part tell me that they got a good return on investment. I couldn't quantify it, but they felt it was worth the effort. They had to put a lot of effort in to get the sales processes, the campaigns, and all the things working. They've spent a year getting that done, but they said afterward that it was worth it as far as they were concerned. I don't know what that means as a quantifiable ROI, but they felt it was good.
We have an enterprise license for this because we use Zoho for lots of things. We have HR and a bunch of other things. We probably don't pay individually for marketing or sales, and it's all in the overall license that we have.
If people are going to go into Zoho, they have to be prepared to put in the work. They got to understand that there's a lot of work to do to get it set up the way you want it. It's not an intuitive product from that point of view.
Overall, I would rate it a seven out of ten.

I use Zoho campaigns for sending updates, targeting customers, and rolling out new changes or features related to our products.
There is room for improvement with integration with other applications like MailChimp.
In future releases, I would like to have bulk-message features.
Therefore, I'm interested in adding features like bulk SMS, and I'm looking forward to having that included in Zoho campaigns. The addition of text messaging features for both promotional and informational purposes.
I have experience using this solution.
I would rate the stability a nine out of ten.
I would rate the scalability a nine out of ten.
The initial setup is easy.
The returns are fair and satisfactory for the investment I've made.
Compared to other applications, Zoho campaigns have fair pricing. There are additional charges, like whenever I add additional users, I need to pay extra.
Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten. I would recommend using the solution.
We use the solution for email marketing.
It is a good product. The out-of-the-box integration with all the other Zoho applications is the most valuable feature of the solution. Many solutions like Mailchimp are almost the same as Zoho Campaigns. The features are very similar, but the integration provided available in Zoho Campaigns makes it much more powerful. We can connect with Zoho Analytics, Zoho CRM, and Zoho Creator. I haven't run into any issues with the product. It's a very mature platform.
The product must provide users more control over improving the worthiness of our domain. We can follow certain best practices to improve our reputation within a community so that our emails do not go to spam. The product must provide more features to improve the worthiness of our domain.
I have been using the solution since 2016 or 2017.
The tool is stable.
The tool gets very expensive if we increase the number of records that we’re storing in it. It can be a deal breaker for a lot of clients.
The support team takes a while to respond to our request. I have had similar experiences with all the other support teams of Zoho except for Zoho CRM. Zoho CRM’s support team is the most responsive.
The initial setup is very straightforward and very simple. It can be done with just a few clicks. The product is deployed on Zoho’s cloud.
A lot of people choose Zoho because it is priced very low compared to its competitors. Zoho Campaigns is cheaper compared to other products. However, the add-ons can get very expensive.
I would recommend the solution to others. I have been using it for a long time and am most comfortable with Zoho Campaigns. I have limited experience with other platforms. I do not see any major issues with the product. It's a very mature platform. It works really well. It's documented really well. It gives you what it promises. Overall, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
We use the solution to manage our marketing processes such as automatic emails and responses. We can set contacts list and tag our contacts easily with Zoho Campaigns.
The solution helps us to easily manage campaigns.
We can merge Zoho Campaigns with Zoho CRM and other applications. I think automation is the best feature of the product because it reduces manual inputs. It will work automatically and generate reports.
I would like the product to include a feature that shows website traffic similar to Mailchimp. I would also like to get user and customer activity on the website so that we can easily set campaigns according to customer interest.
I have been working with the product for six months.
I would rate the product's stability an eight out of ten.
I would rate Zoho Campaigns' scalability a seven out of ten.
I have used Mailchimp before.
The solution is deployed on the cloud. The setup was not tricky.
We can get ROI with the Zoho Campaigns' use.
The tool is priced less compared to other applications.
I would rate Zoho Campaigns an eight out of ten. I would recommend the product since it has nice features that are required by a business.
We primarily use the solution for email purposes.
We use it for corporate email and so far it's been great.
It's a very simple solution for email.
The solution is very inexpensive and very reasonably priced.
The solution does offer a wide variety of products, although we just take advantage of the email portion.
The solution is easy to access via a web interface.
I can't recall missing any features. We use it quite minimally.
They could get better at dealing with spam. They need to improve their anti-spam capabilities.
I can't speak to the scalability as we've never actually tried to scale it. We use it very minimally.
We don't have more than 20 people on the solution.
They do have technical support, and you can get premium and standard offerings of support, However, we don't really need their assistance. We don't use it that much.
That said, I've received feedback that support is okay. It could be due to the fact that we do not have a premium option, however, I can't complain. It's been fine so far.
I'm also familiar with Gmail and Microsoft offerings.
We like to use Zoho as it is less expensive.
You don't need to install anything. You use it via a web interface. It's very simple.
We only use a small Zoho package. We don't have an extensive license.
The cost is less expensive than, for example, Gmail. It's very competitive.
As a cloud-based solution, we are always using the latest version.
I'd rate the solution at a nine out of ten.
