Strengthens cross-platform threat response while supporting audit compliance and log integration
The analytics and reporting can be a bit overwhelming. I love the dashboards, but I find that I need to better understand PowerQuery—specifically when to turn it on and off and its limitations. It's similar to SharePoint in that regard. As a former SharePoint instructor, I know it like the back of my hand. The best thing about SharePoint is that it can do whatever you want; the worst part is also that it can do whatever you want. You really need to know what you want before diving in. Most people usually have a good idea of what they need. SharePoint offers a lot out of the box, but you can customize it further if you wish. However, customization often requires hiring someone, which can be risky since you never know if it will work as intended. On the other hand, PowerQuery can help bridge some of those gaps within Singularity. The challenge arises when you want to incorporate what you've done into dashboards and charts, as there are limitations. For instance, I want more clickable drill-down options that allow me to filter on specific sections of the data, but that's currently not possible. It’s not to say that improvements won’t come in the future; it's just that it feels a bit early at this stage. Additionally, I find some navigation features frustrating, like the back button in certain contexts. For example, if you open PowerQuery from a chart, it doesn't open in a new window or tab. Clicking the back button takes you all the way back to the previous state, causing you to lose whatever progress you made. However, I'm actively providing this feedback to my partner, Pro Circular, through whom we access SentinelOne. They take our input seriously, and I've been sharing my observations. They have their own views but are addressing the issues I raise. It's good to see that suggestions occasionally lead to updates and improvements.

Protects the global station and has good stability
The feature I find most valuable is that it protects the global station The solution's integration with the Windows environment could be better. The solution needs better integration with products, if it did, it would have the assumption of better security. I've been using the solution since…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It identifies what applications are vulnerable. If I go to the applications, such as Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Reader, I can see our current list of vulnerabilities: How many are vulnerable and how many need to be updated with patching. One of the most valuable aspects is the ease of finding specific vulnerabilities."
"Whether our endpoints are running on Windows, Mac, Linux, or any flavor of operating systems, and even mobile devices, we can have a central dashboard through which we can do complete user management and policy management. We can have a complete security posture organization-wise, department-wise, or business-wise."
"This technology is perfect for us."
"Our clients have been able to survive a ransomware attack without even knowing that they had had files encrypted and automatically rolled back - even their Point of Sale (POS) system did not miss a beat and the business continued as normal without interruption."
"The most valuable feature of SentinelOne is the EDR functionality. We are protected against threats, such as ransomware."
"The visibility feature is crucial for effective detection analysis."
"Device control and network control are valuable."
"The most valuable aspect of SentinelOne Singularity Complete is the protection it provides."
"The feature I find most valuable is that it protects the global station."

Cons

"The performance could be better. Singularity lags a bit, and it's a resource-hungry application, so it takes a while to load."
"We'd like SentinelOne to upgrade automatically. It doesn't automatically update the agent if some system has an older version of the SentinelOne. It has to be triggered from the console."
"Sometimes, support can be lacking. We would like to have more interactive sessions, which are not currently available."
"The delay in updating inventory is ten minutes. If it can be improved, it will help a lot."
"The MDM functionality and maturity still need improvement."
"It is difficult to manage users in SentinelOne."
"I don't like switching the way you switch from legacy to XDR."
"Generally, the stability is good, but I would like to see better stability from the solution. The stability issue is partially a con of a behavioral-based product, but being behavioral-based, it also has a lot of pros."
"The solution's integration with the Windows environment could be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its cost is yearly. It is not much costlier than other leading products available in the market. I would rate it a four out of five in terms of pricing."
"It is very affordable and easy to license, and it allows us to onboard new analysts quickly, with a turnaround time of one day at most."
"Their pricing was extremely competitive. That is why we stayed with them so long. We are renewing at the end of next month. We have already put in the approval. It is all set to go. We are renewing for another year or so year over year. It has been a very effective product, and it has been priced very competitively."
"Pricing is a bit of a pain point. That's where we have not been able to convince all of our customers to use SentinelOne. The pricing is still on the higher side. It's almost double the price, if not more, of a normal antivirus, such as NOD32, Kaspersky, or Symantec."
"SentinelOne Singularity Complete is expensive, but we must be willing to pay for it if we want a high level of protection."
"The pricing is on the higher end, making it less suitable for small or medium-sized businesses and perhaps not the ideal fit for the public sector where budget constraints may be more pronounced."
"SentinelOne is significantly less expensive than CrowdStrike. I recently did a price comparison between CrowdStrike and SentinelOne to determine where we are going for the next three years. CrowdStrike is 200% to 300% the cost."
"Just buy the Capture Client and buy the installer itself in a license of 100,000, or whatever is needed. You don't need to invest in any management tools because they are already installed, and maintenance from the client will keep everything up and running."
