A seamless all-in-one solution
This solution is seamless. From one platform, we can do just about anything. With other solutions, you'll need a separate platform for data ingestion, manipulation, etc. Then you'll need another tool for reporting. Palantir Gotham literally does it all. It generates a report regardless of the format. It can seamlessly generate it after the data has been collected.

Drag and drop capabilities simplify service development for easy building
It is drag and drop. Drag and drop make it easier to build the service end to end. It is easier to build services with BusinessWorks. When I have an architecture designed to plug in the service itself with BW, it makes things much easier. It is easy to integrate, especially when the architecture is well-designed.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"This solution is seamless. From one platform, we can do just about anything."
"Areas for improvement would be the cloud fitness of the product and the ease of migrating to newer versions."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten…On a scale from one to ten, where one is difficult, and ten is easy, I rate the initial setup a nine."
"We use the solution to develop applications."
"TIBCO BusinessWorks' real-time data exchange capability has benefited our customers greatly; we conduct a lot of messaging with Superstream and external partners, so it works well for us."
"The most valuable part of the solution is the ease-of-use and ease of deployment."
"The most valuable feature is the integration."
"The ability to link to different technologies is valuable to us."
"The solution is stable. We haven't had any serious technical issues."

Cons

"I think there should be less coding involved. Currently, using it involves a tremendous amount of coding."
"Technical support is average. It's not the best."
"A possible improvement could be to give the capability to use different profiles for each AppNode when an application is deployed on an AppSpace."
"The cost of this product is too expensive for smaller companies or those with a small number of integrations."
"The container-based image is too large and this makes auto-scaling difficult."
"The creation of XSDs should be much simpler. They should ensure that what was working in the previous version must also work in the new version of BW six."
"This solution's cloud could be improved. I don't know whether it was because we didn't have the internal expertise or if it was the product itself, but since they came later—I think only two or three years into the cloud—after many other iPaaS that had been in the cloud for longer, I feel that maybe they haven't matured in terms of the cloud."
"Challenges with TIBCO BusinessWorks were mainly due to unclear documentation, but these were overcome by referring to comprehensive documents and raising tickets with TIBCO support."
"The cost of the solution has room for improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"I don't have the prices of the products, but I know that TIBCO is not a cheap solution. I think that this solution is more suitable for large companies because I don't think that small- or medium-sized companies would have the money for this solution. WSO2 has the community version for free, so many of the smaller companies can use it. I'm not sure what the prices are for support, though, so I suppose the support for WSO2 is not cheap either."
"The license is expensive, and I would rate it one out of ten."
"It is a bit expensive for medium-sized companies. If you are migrating from the current version to the container-supported version, it is quite expensive. The existing licensing will not work because the product platform itself is different."
"The solution is too expensive. It's one of the most expensive solutions out there, particularly because there are so many open-source competitors on the market. I don't know the exact numbers, however."
"TIBCO licensing is yearly and very costly for a company like ours."
"The cost depends on the components required."
"I would rate the solution's pricing a three out of ten."
"TIBCO BusinessWorks is expensive."
