A seamless all-in-one solution
This solution is seamless. From one platform, we can do just about anything. With other solutions, you'll need a separate platform for data ingestion, manipulation, etc. Then you'll need another tool for reporting. Palantir Gotham literally does it all. It generates a report regardless of the format. It can seamlessly generate it after the data has been collected.

Drag and drop capabilities simplify service development for easy building
It is drag and drop. Drag and drop make it easier to build the service end to end. It is easier to build services with BusinessWorks. When I have an architecture designed to plug in the service itself with BW, it makes things much easier. It is easy to integrate, especially when the architecture is well-designed.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"This solution is seamless. From one platform, we can do just about anything."
"I like TIBCO BusinessWorks because it has a user-friendly GUI for developing solutions."
"Drag and drop make it easier to build the service end to end."
"Areas for improvement would be the cloud fitness of the product and the ease of migrating to newer versions."
"The Business Studio interface based on SCA Standards helps to show the business logic at first look and improve code maintenance."
"The most valuable part of the solution is the ease-of-use and ease of deployment."
"TIBCO BusinessWorks' real-time data exchange capability has benefited our customers greatly; we conduct a lot of messaging with Superstream and external partners, so it works well for us."
"BusinessWorks reduces development time, helping developers to focus on business logic."
"It is a very robust system."

Cons

"I think there should be less coding involved. Currently, using it involves a tremendous amount of coding."
"The cost of this product is too expensive for smaller companies or those with a small number of integrations."
"The learning curve takes time compared to webMethods."
"The challenges I have faced with TIBCO BusinessWorks mostly relate to financial applications that do not come with those adapters, so that requires custom coding."
"The communication protocols could be improved."
"Cloud fitness is lacking"
"The initial setup is not easy."
"There is room for improvement on the learning side."
"The solution’s customer support should be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"I don't have the prices of the products, but I know that TIBCO is not a cheap solution. I think that this solution is more suitable for large companies because I don't think that small- or medium-sized companies would have the money for this solution. WSO2 has the community version for free, so many of the smaller companies can use it. I'm not sure what the prices are for support, though, so I suppose the support for WSO2 is not cheap either."
"I think BusinessWorks is more expensive compared to other products. We have the ELA, so at least we have some sort of bargain or discount with that. But for a start-up, it's very expensive compared to other ESBs."
"The cost depends on the components required."
"TIBCO licensing is yearly and very costly for a company like ours."
"My understanding is that the licensing is very costly."
"TIBCO BusinessWorks is expensive."
"TIBCO BusinessWorks is a very expensive solution."
"It is a bit expensive for medium-sized companies. If you are migrating from the current version to the container-supported version, it is quite expensive. The existing licensing will not work because the product platform itself is different."
