"The tool's best part is the GUI. It is user-friendly and fast due to AI features. The solution can help you fix things with AI, which is impressive.""Regarding features, the solution seems to be very intuitive.""The AI deployment process involves adding access points and placing them in the designated area. The AI system automatically adjusts channel selection and transmission power without any issues with stability or throughput. It has improved network performance.""Ability to control the access points by groups.""Has an extremely good feature set.""I have a very good experience with the solution. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.""The cost is the most valuable aspect of this solution.""If you compare wired versus wireless, it's convenient. You don't need to have one place for connectivity. You can move around and it's easier. Sometimes it's a hassle to work with wires, which is why wireless is so convenient."

More Mist AI and Cloud Pros →

"The best feature is that it lets me know what is going on. I need to know if something has gone down, I need to know if something is running very slowly. PRTG tells me that.""I really love the activity library. It gives the flexibility to discover data and metrics about my interface and data server.""The most valuable feature of PRTG Network Monitor is the different monitoring probes available.""The most valuable aspect is the diverse range of features it offers.""Ability to create a dashboard inside software monitoring.""The installation is not that complex.""There was only one feature I liked about PRTG Network Monitor a lot, and that was bandwidth monitoring, though, in the newer versions of the tool, that feature is now a bit lacking. Pricing for PRTG Network Monitor is also not as expensive. It's a good tool, even for beginners.""The up-to-date graphs and the history are very good."

More PRTG Network Monitor Pros →

Cons
"The price could be better.""I need a bit more time with it before criticizing the features.""The pricing should be made cheaper.""Juniper Mist Wireless Access Points’ support services need improvement.""Improving third-party integration is key for Juniper Mist's next release.""Juniper Wireless AP can improve by continually improving its reporting and integration with other systems.""If you want to do more specific stuff, it's a bit limited.""There is room for improvement in terms of support and installation."

More Juniper Mist Wireless Access Points Cons →

"The solution doesn't provide mail notifications currently.""There seems to be different versions of standards used in the wireless access points. In the future, it would be helpful if the solution could come up with some kind of universal standard for all devices and all access points.""It would be beneficial to have support for the Chinese language.""The solution lacks documentation.""There are some technical issues that may require attention""Sometimes it takes a lot of time for the access point to connect with the cloud.""Juniper should integrate all their dashboards instead of having separate dashboards...Since it lacks the integration of dashboards, Juniper needs to improve it.""If there's one thing I'd like to change, it's the pricing. They are quite expensive, but honestly, it's justified by the value they provide. However, for a simple Wi-Fi connectivity with basic security needs, there are alternatives in the market that offer comparable features at a more budget-friendly price."

More Mist AI and Cloud Cons →

"It would be good if there were better graphical interfaces when you have it on multiple monitors... Because we have so many servers, things can get lost in the fog a little bit. Maybe having a better way of showing different geographies, Flash, etc., would help.""We've had some issues previously with the performance of the sensors. We tend to deploy quite a bit of WMI, which is quite processor-intensive, and we've found that that impacts the sensors quite a bit.""I would like to see a more robust platform and a new dashboard. In addition, the code is good, but it needs improvement.""We have had a few issues with the web elements, as far as the dashboard. With the dashboard, it has to be manually refreshed. Occasionally, we reboot the server, or at least web services, due to the web aspect.""They could improve the process of updating the license.""Technical support is an area with concerns in PRTG Network Monitor, where improvements are required.""Sometimes, it is difficult to drill down further to get information, e.g., if we saw spike in traffic, then we would want to drill down and find out what is causing that spike in traffic.""PRTG Network Monitor can improve by adding prevention and detection features."

I have researched a quite a few network monitoring tools which can be used for various monitoring purposes of not only the servers, but the intermediate routers as well. There are majorly three types of these softwares. Ones which are completely open-source, you can do almost anything you want using these, but they require quite some expertise before you can use them. Then there are the ones that are not open source, the enterprise softwares and cost you some money, but on the other hand, they are extremely easy to set-up and learn. You can have them up and running in a matter of minutes. And then there are those which are completely cloud based. They can be free of cost or charge some money depending on the software. The good thing about these is that you don’t have to install any extra software, and it can be managed completely online but then again these have limited features and you cannot exploit them to the full extent as you can do with the open-source and to some extent the enterprise software, so I won’t suggest you to use these, because these are generally not the complete solutions and require other support software to achieve the same. Below I have listed the outstanding pros and cons of the various Network analyzers that you can look into Nagios Pros: Nagios offers an extensive set of collector plug-ins that allows users to gather performance and availability data from a broad range of operating systems, including  Windows and Netware Nagios… Read more →
