Microsoft Power BI has many features and there is not a lot to improve. However, the licensing can be confusing. When deciding between Pro and Premium, I find it difficult to distinguish what features are offered by Pro and what features are offered by Premium, including the particular differences to choose between both licensing models. Additionally, some features such as DAX, which I mentioned previously, involve DAX calculations and complex data modeling, which are somewhat advanced and not easily understandable. Prior knowledge is required or you need to go through the documentation. If the documentation is made comprehensive so that anyone with no knowledge on DAX can easily use it by going through the documentation, it would be really helpful. Additionally, if the integration with non-Microsoft tools is improved and performance is optimized, then Microsoft Power BI can become a top-ranked visualization tool. The user experience with Microsoft Power BI is quite good. The intuitive user interface makes it easy for both technical and non-technical users to create reports. However, only the advanced features are somewhat complex, and if the documentation is improved, it can be easily accessible.

Solution empowers self-service reporting and delivers comprehensive performance insights
Empowering business users means they should be able to work independently without depending on the developer. One advantage of SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform is self-service capabilities, allowing users to do drag and drop to build their own reports and perform analyses without needing technical know-how.The platform has many drivers that I can use to connect to virtually all available databases, making it easy to integrate with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and many others. With the cloud version, I can fetch data on-premises and to the cloud for analysis easily. It is so flexible that I can make choices for fetching data. For authentication in an SAP environment, I can choose to integrate with SAP logon for SSO or use AD authentication for convenience, along with the flexible integration options.

Legacy reporting has exposed limitations and now drives a gradual shift to modern analytics
Something that I wish would be improved is that TIBCO Jaspersoft Studio looks like something that was designed in the 1980s. The UI is not user-friendly. Finding things in the solution can be quite tedious, and the exported code does not really follow good programming standards. For example, the use of exceptions were not very descriptive. You would have something called exception one, two, three, post-grass exception one, two, three, nothing very descriptive as to what was going on. The files were very long and you would end up with a bunch of code that was not really being used. Helping the tool create more intuitive naming conventions would be better. Maybe implementing some sort of AI logic to clean up the code after it has been generated would help. It would be nice if there was easier integration with other programming languages such as Python, which is where we were migrating to because of its versatility and big data capabilities. Something like Scala and Hadoop would have made it easier for us to remain in Java. I would say to improve TIBCO Jaspersoft, integrate it with other programming languages and other big data tools and include AI functionality. I cannot even see what I need to see in the display box, so I would fix the AI. Another thing to note is that TIBCO Jaspersoft does not offer much in terms of documentation. There were only some wiki pages for some common errors. Customer support required you to have a license. It is not available to the general public. As for performance, working with Java 8 and 11 instead of the latest Java versions is also something that impacted our performance because we had some packages that were dependent on Java version 21 and up.
