A rigid product that is hard to customize, has no mobile app, and is rarely updated by the vendor
There is no mobile application. The product is unmoving, as there is no obvious development or enhancements being made. When we are trying to compete in a market we need an updated product. The product is not easily customizable and we have to depend on the reseller for that. It's a rigid product. There are no reports available.

A feature-rich platform that helps to track sales and gather customer information
My age-old complaint with Salesforce Sales Cloud is that it has to be refreshed because it's a cloud-based system. If you make any updates, you have to refresh and save because you're fundamentally looking at what's running in the cloud. It can be slow since you constantly refresh and save the screen. If you were running a local application, like a local CRM system, as you input anything, it would be more seamless. It's like using Excel—you don't have to save every single time you enter new details into a cell because it knows it's a local copy. With a cloud-based system like the tool, changing requires refreshing and saving, which can be tedious.

Customizable and flexible but user experience needs enhancement
Siebel is not user-friendly. There are so many tabs and different features that until it's explained to someone, they will not understand it. A user-friendly tool is supposed to be designed in a way where the user can log in and intuitively understand how to use it. People who use it regularly are still confused, and it requires a lot of clicks and is very difficult to navigate. Sometimes it takes a lot of time to reflect the correct information—even when it's updated, you have to refresh it again and again to see the right data.

Pros

"Stability-wise, it is working fine with no technical faults."
"The product is very fast and responsive. There's no lag time when you are on the platform."
"We can implement checks to ensure proper data entry with validation rules."
"It is a very stable solution."
"The scalability is good."
"The solution is stable."
"The most valuable features of the solution are reporting and dashboards."
"Suitable for all sizes of organizations."
"Our use case within the organization covers the entire cycle from lead generation, demand planning, and opportunities to realization and closure. For our clients, Salesforce is used more to plot the cycle from products to cash and lead to revenue. They mostly build offers and pricing quotations in the Salesforce environment through their field marketing agents."
"Siebel CRM's most beneficial aspects are the workflows. It has complete holistic workflows for a customer management system."
"Siebel CRM has a strong database model, workflow and integration tools."
"It is quite robust and flexible. You can develop almost anything you want. You go into the tools, and you can do anything you want."
"Siebel is easy to configure and comes with various pre-built industry verticals, so it doesn't require much effort. If you want to roll out Siebel in telecom or manufacturing, they have the verticals."
"Due to the many features that are built in from a CRM perspective, it is the best product we have."
"The solution is scalable."
"Siebel CRM is used for distributing information between systems, trouble ticketing, and case management."
"Siebel CRM is the number one CRM product in the world."

Cons

"There are no reports available."
"The solution can be difficult to understand for customers of Salesforce."
"An area for improvement would be the ease of configuration."
"Salesforce Sales Cloud needs a more user-friendly interface."
"The solution's configuration could be improved because getting a purchase order and administrating the right fields can be a real headache for us, especially when the Sales Cloud system enters an error stage."
"When importing from other apps, it gets messy."
"The areas revolving around archiving and backup in Salesforce Sales Cloud are not as advanced as some of the other solutions in the market."
"Salesforce could improve its response speed."
"We have a very broad set of products at our company. The process to get that information accurately into the Sales Cloud system could use improvement. It shouldn't take weeks of time. The process of identifying products that are being sold for forecasting purposes and sales tracking purposes is too hard."
"The documentation needs to be improved."
"Siebel CRM can improve as an ERP and for a few corporate business workloads."
"I want Oracle to improve the tool’s UI with a vanilla application. I would also like to see an insurance broking vertical in their future releases. There are thousands of brokers who look for an insurance broking solution."
"The solution itself is very heavy."
"However, there are areas that this product has not evolved at par with global industry trends, including the UX/UI and cloud capabilities."
"The backend performance of Siebel could be improved as it is often slow. In addition, the Open UI is not that responsive."
"The user interface, mobile application, and support could be improved."
"Oracle needs to improve its support. The major drawback I've observed with Siebel CRM is that Oracle hasn't taken appropriate steps to improve it since 2019. We noticed a steep downfall because Oracle was slow to roll out upgrades like Open UI. By the time these upgrades were available, the market had shifted to cloud solutions, which competitors were already providing much earlier."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We are paying for a subscription."
"The price of Salesforce Sales Cloud could be reduced. It is expensive."
"My understanding is that Salesforce is a little bit expensive, but in terms of the efficiencies, automation, and visibility, I think it's definitely value for money."
"I've seen the prices for Salesforce Sales Cloud, but I haven't been the one to handle the money. As someone who's only visually looked at the price, I would imagine it's on the pricier side, but they do have a ton of leverage, and seeing that everyone I've worked for has always been dedicated to continuing Salesforce. I've never worked for anyone who has threatened to leave. Everyone has accepted the pricing for what they offer."
"Implementation and add-ons may be additional costs."
"The licensing fees are reasonable."
"We have a yearly license, and there are no hidden costs. Considering the Indian market, the pricing is reasonable. I don't consider it to be on the high side."
"Its license is expensive. It is probably a lot more than smaller solutions. It is around £500 a month, but I don't know how many licenses we have."
"Sales Cloud is quite expensive."
"This solution is expensive compared to other solutions in the market. This makes it difficult to convince our customers to use it. The customers who are already using Siebel have thought about moving to Velocity or Salesforce."
"Its licensing is yearly."
"I think the tool’s pricing is exaggerated. Once you do the price sizing as per your business needs, you would find that the price of other solutions like Zoho CRM, HubSpot CRM, Salesforce CRM, etc. would be always the same."
"The price of Siebel CRM depends on the usage of the business requirement. For large enterprises the price it's very good but if you are using it for medium scale enterprises, the price is very expensive."
"The product is expensive."
