Effective lead management and useability with room for reporting improvements
Customer support could be more helpful. The reporting could be better, with more engaging reports and the ability to collaborate more objects, like opportunities. Incorporating AI features similar to tools like HubSpot and Salesforce account engagement would be beneficial. Additionally, Marketo should work on automating tools and updating the product since it looks similar to how it did five years ago.

Integration with CRM and third-party systems significantly boosts campaign management
The native integration could be improved, as Oracle Eloqua has decommissioned it. Manual uploads require changing the data priority order to top priority. Sometimes form capturing data fails, and campaign response issues occur. The pricing of Oracle Eloqua is quite high as it is an Oracle product. Compared to other marketing automation platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Pardot, the price point is higher. The technical support is rated at eight because it can be difficult to get in touch with them after working hours. Support is only available during business hours, so if assistance is needed outside of the nine-to-five window, users must wait until the next day.

Offers an easy initial setup phase and good ROI
With Pardot, users can do the segmentation based on their requirements. You can segment your prospects based on their interests, locations, companies, or the sales cycle. You can also use the engagement studio to create a journey for the people you have segmented with the help of automation feature of the tool. The aforementioned area consists of the most useful features I found in the tool apart from its out-of-the-box features. The integration between Pardot and Salesforce is beneficial if you know how to share the leads that a company finds useful so that they don't have to invest in manual work or do anything blindly to reach out to leads. Users can segment the leads using the features that the tool provides. I recommend the product to those who plan to use it. If a business is into B2B marketing and can afford to purchase Pardot, then they should buy it. If the product of a company is good, then Pardot can help multiply such an organization's ROI. Based on the product and how the sales and marketing team works, the tool can be useful. In short, the tool can be as good as the person who is using it. I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We are scoring based on behavior without pressure, and it keeps producing excellent results."
"Marketo is excellent in terms of hands-on usability and lead database management."
"I have a good special setup and a huge NetFlow to the sales channel."
"The main highlights of Marketo are its support structure, the documentation available, and the features mainly related to forms, landing pages, and leads. Although other platforms like Oracle Eloqua have similar features, Marketo's support structure, lead generation, and segmentation features are easier than those of different platforms."
"I like that the solution is flexible."
"I like that Marketo is user-friendly and has an easy view. It's like a one-stop solution for everyone. It is very good, and you can categorize leads in different ways. You can also create your custom objects and enjoy good connectivity."
"It's pretty good at handling customization and templates. We can put in different variables, so even someone without coding knowledge can create and develop emails that look good on different browsers."
"One of the most important things about Marketo is its focus on GDPR compliance. It helps you follow GDPR and CAN-SPAM rules. For example, with Marketo, I won't accidentally target audiences without their consent. Firstly, the Marketo Insights system will highlight new customer segments that I should engage with."
"The solution is good for B2B email marketing."
"The ease of maintenance is the most valuable feature."
"It is a user-friendly product."
"I find Oracle Eloqua to be a highly useful tool for clients and easy for developers, which I believe makes it one of the best options available for B2B marketing."
"Oracle Eloqua is easier to use compared to Salesforce Marketing Cloud because Salesforce requires their own scripting called AMPScript, while in Oracle Eloqua, you only need CSS, HTML, and occasionally JavaScript."
"It provides good support for really large databases."
"I like the insight part, where we can pull the reports. Oracle Eloqua can generate reports on the activities that customers take or that we do. That is one interesting part that I enjoy working with."
"The solution is stable."
"It has made email marketing quicker and easier."
"The most valuable feature is the customization of the solution."
"The product is stable."
"Pardot's most valuable feature is its B2B marketing capabilities."
"I have not had any issues with the product's stability. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The solution can be easily integrated with Salesforce."
"It's easy to create email templates and landing pages."
"Campaign tracking is a valuable feature."

Cons

"I had an issue while integrating JavaScript with forms. When you embed JavaScript, you can either embed it in a landing page or some other self-contained management system like WordPress. Currently, it provides you access to CSS, where you can customize your form design, but there is no option for JavaScript modification for a particular form. This area needs to be improved where you can integrate JavaScript, and it has the JavaScript functions for that particular form. There are a lot of other areas of improvement. In the design area, they can give us more testing options instead of relying on email testing alone. It would be great if they can provide responsive testing where email clients can be tested within Marketo. It would be also helpful if they can implement some in-built options for users or forms for blocking a generic email ID such as Yahoo or Gmail. Similarly, it would be helpful to have JavaScript features and forms as well as the option to add Google analytics and a header and footer for the landing pages."
"There is a bit of room for improvement in the level-one support team. It relies too much on documentation."
"The user interface could be improved."
"One limitation is the user limit. For bigger organizations with large audience sizes exceeding, let's say, 500k, the solution may not be as efficient as larger enterprise platforms like Salesforce or Oracle Eloqua. However, Marketo is one of the best platforms for mid-scale and small-scale organisations."
"The user experience needs improvement, particularly in terms of ease of use and navigation between projects."
"Revenue management, attribution, and ABM can all be improved."
"Marketo's reporting and dashboarding features could be better. Compared to other tools, the visualization options with charts and graphs seem somewhat limited."
"I have encountered issues when I had to use filters repeatedly. It would have been helpful if I could duplicate them directly, instead of dragging them. Also, having an option to save filters for future use would have saved a lot of time, especially when dealing with multiple filters."
"Reporting is very clunky and not user friendly."
"The solution should consider adding functionality related to event listening, such as webhooks."
"The solution does not have a good database architecture."
"The product's initial setup process could be better."
"Oracle Eloqua requires maintenance because downtime or crashes can affect form submissions and integrations."
"The cost of the solution has room for improvement."
"Crashes can occur due to integration with different systems, including third-party tools such as Zapier and SixSense."
"Some areas of Oracle Eloqua that could be improved include enhancements for campaign features, such as the ability to filter contacts based on date intervals or related functionalities that currently require installing apps from the Oracle App Market."
"Pardot needs many improvements in terms of email design and design studio functionalities."
"Lacks sufficient free custom fields."
"Pardot must be synced with Salesforce."
"Needs to improve list building."
"When it comes to integration with third-party tools, Pardot's APIs are not that robust."
"When we compare it to other automation tools, in Pardot, I'm not able to see any drag-and-drop options. We have to work on an HTML template itself."
"The solution is quite expensive, at least, for smaller teams."
"The solution lacks integration with Instagram, which is our top problem with the product."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing cost usually depends on the users."
"The fee for Marketo includes the number of users and the database size. If we ask for a unique feature, it will cost extra."

"Marketo is used a lot because it's cheaper and preferred by many firms."
"Marketo is too expensive for a small-sized company but more affordable for a larger-sized company."
"The pricing is not cheap, but it's not that expensive either."
