Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Provides limited scalability, and systems do not synchronize properly
I use the platform to track IT assets, including who they belong to and their current status I do not find the product beneficial. It has ongoing issues and does not meet my expectations. The two systems within Asset Manager do not synchronize properly. Queries fail to retrieve the correct…

Significant asset management capabilities boost IT efficiency and support proactive monitoring
A positive aspect of Lansweeper is that they maintain a 30-minute recurring schedule with us for feedback. I have mentioned to the Lansweeper team that I would appreciate a clear separation between computers joined to our on-premise domain and those joined to the Microsoft Entra directory, as this distinction is currently difficult to make. In terms of reporting and knowledge, Lansweeper completely fulfills our needs. The software installation capability is being phased out as they now have the cloud version app, where this ability and Actions have been removed. My experience is primarily with Windows systems in Lansweeper, but it also supports Mac systems. We are currently adding Macs to scanning, though functionality is somewhat limited compared to Windows. It scans servers too, though this isn't the primary focus. Regarding network scanning, there are some security considerations due to specific service or port requirements on switches. For Windows needs in terms of asset management, report creation, and detailed information visibility, it is an excellent product. Building reports is straightforward, and while the database is quite extensive and may require research depending on needs, the information is readily available.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We do plenty of manual processing every day. This is repetitive work where an employee will come and do the same task. The tool helps us to avoid those repetitive tasks and save dollars."
"I utilize all the commands provided by Automation Anywhere, such as all the recorders. I use these commands to develop my processes and bots."
"Automation Anywhere is unlike any other software; Automation Anywhere provides me with my bread and butter, and I just love the tool."
"One very useful feature is the IQ Bot, which is helpful in the operation of the data input process to all of their applications."
"It has the ability to tag different components within the automation. We built it to track the ROI and stability of the product."
"Automation Anywhere is stellar and the pre-built bots on the bot store help reduce the development time and effort. The IQ Bot solution can read from scanned images and documents which has hugely benefited the mortgage processing team."
"The benefit of using Automation Anywhere is the efficiency of operations and speed."
"Our business has seen a good return on investment with Automation Anywhere, and they are so pleased that they are requesting to add more processes."
"The solution is easy to setup."
"The product's stability in terms of uptime is generally good; it is always operational."
"The benefits I have seen from using Lansweeper at the infrastructure level include licensing and optimization, the cost reduction and elimination of redundant tools reduced our needs, and this was particularly evident in the most recent project."
"Lansweeper is performing exceptionally; as soon as it detects something on the network, it immediately adds it to Lansweeper, and the connection between the endpoint and the server is doing a really good job."
"The solution is easy to deploy, easy to use, and scalable, whether for 1,000 devices or 1,000,000 devices."
"Provides good reports from every asset."
"One valuable feature is the ability to monitor log-on times, providing insights into whether users are rebooting their machines as claimed. This is useful in scenarios where users may not be aware of the need to reboot for system optimization. Lansweeper helps verify such information by collecting log data. Another noteworthy feature is the capability to track CPU, memory, and network usage on workstations at intervals, say every thirty minutes. This allows me to assess the user's experience and validate their claims about resource consumption. For instance, if a user complains about high memory usage, Lansweeper enables me to verify the actual usage and address the issue accurately. This level of monitoring granularity is something I find particularly useful and haven't seen in many other tools."
"What I appreciate best about Lansweeper is the scanning itself, as setting up scanning was relatively easy, and the reporting was comprehensive with numerous different reporting options, including a feature for creating your own reports."
"The most valuable feature of Lansweeper is that it can gather all the devices online and offline and generate proper IT assets."
"We have seen a return on investment with Lansweeper, as we save time preparing reports for Microsoft, and it has been very useful in terms of cost savings."

Cons

"The scalability of Automation Anywhere's cloud version is excellent, but the on-premise version is a waste of time and money."
"We had a major issue when it came to single sign-on. We couldn't get it working."
"There are occasional technical issues, particularly with cloud operations. Sometimes, the bot struggles to initiate on the cloud, even when everything appears in place."
"Training is good and interactive but the final certification exam is very tough and it requires in-depth practical knowledge."
"However, the AI Sense Recorder is too slow, so they can enhance its features for easier user experience."
"I would like to have the ability to work on a remote desktop connection, run the recording on it and use all commands."
"Security needs improvement."
"Blue Prism is more secure than Automation Anywhere. E.g., Blue Prism has a system that is difficult to penetrate. You can't simply go into their system and make any changes."
"The synchronization between the ITAM and Neurons should be restored."
"Queries fail to retrieve the correct information, and the discovery tool does not accurately reflect the details of devices."
"The support experience hasn't been satisfactory. Establishing a direct connection with someone is challenging, as communication is limited to chat or forums through a web link. There's a lack of direct interaction with support personnel, making it difficult to have real-time conversations or seek immediate assistance, which is not ideal."
"There is one thing that could be improved."
"In Vietnam, there's no Lansweeper office, making it difficult to find the right vendor to get the license."
"The support is an area that could improve. The support staff could be more knowledgeable."
"We're trying to use it for the help desk, but that's not exactly its strong suit."
"I don't have any complaints about it, and I've never really had any issues. It isn't wizard-driven or anything like that, but it doesn't need to be. For someone who is not familiar with system administration, it would be daunting. There would be a lot of info there. They wouldn't necessarily know what to do, but that's not its target audience. For its target audience, in particular, it doesn't need to change. It is really a good tool."
"It would be beneficial if the solution could show more account-related information, beyond just the main Active Directory user account, and include management capabilities for other account types."
"In Lansweeper, reporting has some glitches. Reporting needs to be more customized as per customer requirements."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price for Automation Anywhere is reasonable."
"Automation Anywhere pricing and licensing are competitive compared to the other automation vendors."
"While calculating the setup cost you should account for the server, virtual machines, product licenses, maintenance costs, and running costs."
"Automation Anywhere is reasonably priced because it can sustain us for a long period."
"We would like them to change the license model of charging per bot."
"It is the most economically friendly and it provides you with a lot of functions."
"It depends. For example, for my group, we are centralizing the infrastructure in Paris. Our contract is signed with Automation Anywhere in France. The currency and the pricing of Automation Anywhere in France can appear beneficial and interesting for Germany and Scandinavian countries, but when we share our infra and are internally charging other countries such as Poland, Brazil, or some other country with a lower currency value as compared to Euro, it becomes less beneficial. They would prefer to sign the contract directly with Automation Anywhere because they will benefit from a price that is as per their local market."
"They sell it by license, but if they could charge by case or by interaction, that might be better. Right now, it's expensive when you want to scale or use them for simple processes."
"The solution is reasonably priced."
"It is not high and it is fair according to the worth it offers."
"The Lansweeper's price has increased and is now on par with or even higher than competitors, it still offers significant value in the area of IT asset management."
"Its cost is terrific. It has a great price and is cost-effective, and the license is free under a hundred nodes. I like the fact that it gets regular updates. Of course, it notifies you of the product and you can patch it and all that, but I like the fact that it is very affordable for the number of nodes. A company with three or four computers doesn't need it, but a company that has dozens or hundreds has to have some kind of governance. It can do everything such as Windows, Linux, and network devices, and the discovery is really intelligent. For example, you'd find smart devices, IOTs, and things like that. I'm very happy with it."
"It actually costs some money in the long run because of the licensing model."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate Lansweeper's pricing a seven out of ten."
