Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automated cash reconciliation has reduced manual workload but still needs broader channel coverage
HighRadius Accounts Payable can be improved by being flexible enough to accommodate various airline processes and other processes. The experience we had has been limiting in the channels it can accommodate, as we were only able to do cash. It needs to be flexible enough to incorporate card transactions, web sales, BSPs, and other types of channels. Flexibility is key, and HighRadius Accounts Payable really needs to enhance its capability to accommodate the different sales channels that various companies have. Regarding needed improvements or any other challenges I have faced with HighRadius Accounts Payable, the initial post-go-live support was lacking as we were redirected to a company in Poland. HighRadius Accounts Payable needs to ensure dedicated support from the team that does the actual implementation, even if outsourced, as good support is crucial for navigating different scenarios and challenges that arise after going live. We did not have good support initially, so that is one thing that needs improvement. I choose a six out of ten mainly due to support, which is very important, and because of flexibility; HighRadius Accounts Payable was not able to capture our end-to-end receivables. We could only capture part of our receivables and not all the sales channels we have, such as web sales and BSPs, along with other manual channels we could not reconcile with it.

Has reduced manual effort through customization and streamlined API-based integrations
The best features Sage Intacct offers include the import functionality, support for customization, and the platform that allows me to modify whatever I want. The triggers and reports are built very well and user-friendly, so I can modify this, and this is one of the best features it provides. The import functionality helps because once I download the template from Sage Intacct, I can fill out the specific columns with the data that I need to import into the system, and it will do the work instead of adding those details manually. The platform services allow me to add functionalities such as sending an email once I generate any AP bill or approve vendors. Additionally, I can call external API services or Sage Intacct API to validate those fields, which is good for users. Sage Intacct has positively impacted my organization through improved collaboration and saved time. I can import data easily, and since it is user-friendly, I encounter fewer errors. For example, the work I used to do in one or two days now gets completed in one or two hours.

Pros

"It's easy to use, and with less experience, anyone with the business knowledge can automate easily."
"AA has improved our organization in a positive manner."
"For a tool that can be fun to use and make people's job better on day one, that is the most valuable feature."
"I have seen a return on investment with Automation Anywhere, as we have achieved a value of 10 million for a single process in one year, helping that team to accelerate more and bring value to the organization."
"It saves time."
"In finance, it has helped us deliver on productivity and provided us with FTE savings."
"As a solution, Automation Anywhere is complete for business users and developers."
"A cloud deployment typically takes no more than one business day."
"Since switching to HighRadius Accounts Payable, I can share that before, we could only process 30 items in Siebel because of the lags, but in HighRadius Accounts Payable, we can process 60 items or deduction claims."
"HighRadius Accounts Payable has significantly reduced the manual work and workload we have had because we used to manually reconcile cash, with accountants applying receipts manually, and that process has been largely eliminated due to automation, providing us with room to carry out other value-adding processes."
"It's a powerhouse and it delivers. It has really great audit trails in it, which add so much value that the other systems don't have."
"I would strongly recommend any entity that has a need for software that is easily implementable and that's already structured to use the services."
"I will highly recommend Sage Intacct to others, regardless of the UI, the response, the AI integration, and everything I appreciate about the financial features."
"It's a top-tier upgrade for the finance department and does extend into full ERP."

Cons

"We would like it to be more user-friendly."
"IQ Bot should have an easier way to tag the document's source after extracting information from the document. (Which group does the document or a transaction belong to)."
"The bot scaling process was painful, when you go beyond a few bots, and because we had stability issues. We had to work through the issues, and they took us a long time."
"The vendor should increase the training and other engagements with users before they acquire the platform, as this will simplify its usage further and ensure that there no hindrances in using the platform."
"I need high value products to be created, so I need integration with other solutions. Machine learning and AI need to be integrated with Automation Anywhere. While IQ Bot is a good beginning, our company does not work with manual paperwork since we are already digital. We would like to see more integration with cognitive tools going forward."
"When I used this tool in the bot, it did not work. I got this issue when using the document automation learning instance."
"Automation Anywhere should improve its OCR capabilities."
"Another feature that would be cool to see in Automation Anywhere is more use of artificial intelligence. Right now, RPA is basically limited to a bot which is simply following the instructions that it was given. However, what would be really useful is if a bot was able to more flexibly respond to issues. For example, sometimes there are erroneous errors and pop ups. With good code, you can certainly build your bots to be able to handle that. However, it does take time and a bit of technical know-how to be able to do that."
"Customer support is not good; initially, we had support directed to Poland, but we recently moved to the HighRadius Accounts Payable team, which is a bit better."
"I think HighRadius Accounts Payable can be improved in the cut-off time or the cut-off timing because I think they are linked to the SAP system, so we have a cut-off time in HighRadius Accounts Payable when clearing a deduction."
"I believe data migration could be improved in Sage Intacct to save time and to minimize working with Excel when dealing with data migration."
"Sage Intacct occasionally experiences lag while we are working online."
"The mobile integration was still lacking on that front."
"Sage Intacct is very strong overall, but if I had to suggest improvements, I would say the learning curve could be smoother for new users."
"Applying payments can be a bit difficult when we do comparisons, especially since we use AP adjustments and apply them to each other in a three-currency situation."
"The consolidation module lacks several features in setup, including the inability to create different sub-level entities, and it is very rigid and not customizable for adding different entities under one book, so we are trying to create multiple books."
"Sage Intacct can be improved by integrating AI and offering more dynamic reports."
"I wish Sage Intacct had a more robust interface with their help desk, as right now getting help with Sage is sometimes slow and clunky."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Our costs are approximately between $5,000 to $10,000 per license."
"The cost is anywhere between $10,000 and $100,000."
"I don't agree with the IQ Bot licensing costs, which depends on the consumption of the document rather than per bot or user. This is confusing for me, because most of the cases for us in a possible future scenario, there would be a lot of invalid data to be scanned to get to real data. E.g., we would have to supply approximately 100 pages of scanned data to extract two pages of original data. In these type of cases, the IQ Bot might be a costly venture."
"Automation Anywhere is cheaper than UiPath and Blue Prism. From a market point of view, Automation Anywhere is reasonable. Any organization can adopt Automation Anywhere."
"We have established a CoE and we take our bot opportunities based on their ROIs. The best ROI opportunity goes to development first. Our ROI opportunities are compliance, profitable growth, productivity enhancements, productivity gains, number of hours the productivity saved, and resources not available that the work can be done by the bot. However, the single most important criteria that we use to measure ROI is how much time does the bot cut down from an analyst's work, as this has the best ROI. E.g., if an analyst is spending a 100 hours of work that a bot can do in one hour, we calculate the 99 hours saved as ROI."
"We purchase on a bot basis. Our costs are approximately $5,000."
"Our company is investing a lot of money in Automation Anywhere. They have saved money wherever humans are working. They invest a lot of money in FTEs and other logistics, so the money saving is very pretty good with Automation Anywhere. While I don't know the exact figure, the tool is saving us millions of dollars as well as saving about 40,000 hours in the last year."
"It is the most economically friendly and it provides you with a lot of functions."
Information not available
"Compared to other ERP systems on the market, it offers competitive and reasonable pricing."
"Sage is on the higher end of pricing."
"It's reasonably priced, offering fixed pricing, which is quite fair."
"The price is comparable to other companies which offer similar products."
