Sentiment score
7.4
SAP S4HANA on AWS boosts performance, efficiency, and ROI, with payback in months and long-term financial benefits.
On a very good implementation, usually, if the scale of the business is large, the implementation can give a payback within six, seven, or eight months of implementation.
Although our investment was higher compared to the previous ERP system, we are able to derive ROI from SAP S4HANA on AWS.

Cloud support directly is not strong, but via partners is strong.
I consider them good partners when it comes to support.
We have consulted Google support several times, and we received a quick response.
We received the right support during our implementation and continue to benefit from it.
They have a support model available, with first-level support handling initial issues when I integrate the system.

Scalability Issues

Sentiment score
7.7
Google Cloud is praised for its scalability and affordability, suitable for enterprise use, despite some cost concerns.
Sentiment score
7.8
SAP S4HANA on AWS provides scalable support for large enterprises, integrates well, but requires technical expertise for efficient scaling.
If I had to rate scalability from one to ten, I would rate it a nine as we have never faced any issues with scalability.
This solution is suitable for enterprise-level organizations, particularly in finance and healthcare domains where there is substantial data volume.
AWS has been running probably 96% of Fortune 500 companies across the globe, so scalability is not an issue.
The product is versatile and can manage complexity beyond expectations.

Stability Issues

Sentiment score
8.2
Google Cloud is generally stable and reliable, though some users note limited issue visibility and minor performance differences.
Sentiment score
7.8
SAP S4HANA on AWS is praised for stability and reliability, though performance can vary with specific setups and configurations.
As a finance controller, we have seen improvements in finance deliverables, SLAs in payables, and reconciliation timelines.

Room For Improvement

Google Cloud needs improved user-friendliness, cost transparency, multilingual resources, integration, security, and support for right-to-left languages.
SAP S4HANA on AWS needs better integration, cost efficiency, user-friendly interfaces, improved support, scalability, and enhanced deployment resources.
If the hierarchy or similarities were the same, that would help developers more conveniently migrate from a traditional SQL server to BigQuery.
An area of improvement could be the release of products prior to general availability not being performant, as releasing to private preview occurs too soon before products are ready.
Providing more hypervisors would be beneficial.
SAP introduced flexible workflows, which are even better if I want customized workflows for my documentation within the procurement domain.
The interface and interaction with the technical team require intensive training.
Having these integrations as a single source rather than working in silos would be beneficial for customers.

Setup Cost

Google Cloud's pricing is scalable and efficient but needs more flexibility, transparency, and modular offerings to satisfy users fully.
SAP S4HANA on AWS is costly but offers value with flexibility, significant enterprise investment, and potential discounts.
As far as I know, it is a little more expensive compared to other cloud options.
SAP is not cheap, with many hidden costs encountered during implementation.
The initial setup required a higher investment, but the return on investment has justified the cost.

Valuable Features

Google Cloud offers ease of use, scalability, robust hosting, excellent security, and seamless service integration with global accessibility.
SAP S4HANA on AWS offers a user-friendly interface, real-time processing, scalability, AI integration, and cost-effective, high-availability hosting.
The most valuable features of Google Cloud for us are the integration with Kubernetes, IAM, Istio integration, and Terraform capabilities.
We mainly use Google Cloud products that are centered around Data Warehouse, specifically BigQuery.
If customers use different technologies within their environment, GCP cannot offer a full performance analysis covering all the disclosures.
From the finance side, we have enhanced our internal controls and reduced the timeline for closing the month from a year to just two days.
The costing and personnel planning integration are among the strongest areas of this solution.
The configurations are quite comprehensive, and the product can handle many complex scenarios.

Integration with Kubernetes and flexibility improve our application deployment process
The logging could be improved; there's currently no intuitive way to filter logs on the Google console, especially for individuals who are not familiar with query languages. Our non-technical users find it difficult to access logs. Additionally, the user interface could be more user-friendly and intuitive compared to our previous experience with AWS.

Strong integration in manufacturing and enhances flexibility with useful workflow management
Installation is very straightforward, however, implementation takes years or months based on the project's size. In manufacturing, the requirement might go from ten to 12 people. If I'm a sales-oriented company, such as an FMCG or something else, then I might need around seven or eight people at the very minimum. It is not an easy task to migrate. If I'm moving from a different ERP to S/4HANA, I need a proper project that probably spans several months, with significant engagement from both the business side and the technical side. I need an opportunity partner on it. Processing to SCE S/4HANA takes a bit of effort.
