Ensures efficient backup and recovery processes
The Protect and Restore features are very helpful. I can set up tags to include specific assets in our environment for backup. When I include those tags in my search, the assets are easily found and can be added for backup. I love the restore feature and how easily I can restore files, folders, or an entire image.

Has supported secure application hosting and reliable server management
I find the GUI to be good in Ubuntu Linux, and I appreciate the open SSH. The fact that it is free since it is open and open-source is why I appreciate it and feel it is secured. We have multiple different kinds of support related to Ubuntu Linux, including official support and other options. I am currently using laptops, desktops, and servers, and Ubuntu Linux supports all these devices. If I need it for Raspberry Pi or something similar, I can download another Linux distribution. Ubuntu Linux is scalable, especially for servers. We prefer using Ubuntu Linux Servers rather than Windows. The biggest advantage of Ubuntu Linux for me is that it is open-source, secured, and scalable.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Clumio has a straightforward setup"
"We now have the peace of mind knowing that our entire AWS infrastructure is fully backed up into an air-gapped environment."
"It has improved our disaster recovery footprint; previously, backups were only stored on premises, and having an offsite backup improves our reliability and security."
"We now have the peace of mind knowing that our entire AWS infrastructure is fully backed up into an air-gapped environment."
"Working with the Clumio/Commvault team has been a very good experience."
"Ubuntu is great because you get most of the packages or software you need. You get the latest updates and stuff fairly fast."
"Of value is that the solution is stable, easy to use, has features that are easy to connect to other Linux systems and can be managed and administered."
"Windows needs a refresh option to refresh its screen, but Ubuntu doesn't need that. It refreshes automatically and works well."
"The solution provides good security."
"I would recommend this solution for development and production purposes for the simple reasons that it is free, stable, secure and shows good performance."
"There is a lot of freedom and flexibility to install it really quickly. It is just very powerful in the sense that it doesn't take up as many resources to run as some of the other operating systems. It is open source, so it is free. There is no licensing fee. There is flexibility and freedom to do whatever you need to do. If you are familiar with the command line, you can jump on the command line and configure almost any part of the operating system that you want. If you are not comfortable with the command line, the graphical user interface has really improved ever since I started using Linux back in high school. It is really very simple to manage your settings and other things. You can also try out multiple desktop environments. As a matter of fact, on one of my laptops, I have installed five different desktop environments, and I can switch between them. If you don't like one, you can easily just install another one with a few commands, and you have got a whole new desktop right there, whereas, in Microsoft Windows or a Mac, you are just stuck with whatever they give you, and you have to wait until they sell you something else."
"We can easily customize the NTS Client code."
"It has improved our ability to carry out maintenance without downtime as migrating services between server environments is largely seamless."

Cons

"They need to improve their SQL backup services"
"The most obvious instance of this is that it's caused me to have issues with Chrome."
"Limited application support compared with Windows and MacOS."
"Ease of use and ease of deployment could still be improved in this system."
"The repository needs improvement. The repository needs to be kept up to date all of the time."
"A problem we have encountered when installing the package is that certain packages are not available, which requires downloading of them on our part."
"The stability could be improved."
"It can be improved in terms of user-friendliness for inexperienced users. It also has a lot of scope for improvement in terms of deployment. It is kind of hard for inexperienced users, and the learning curve is very steep. There is not really good documentation for new professionals. Even we are using network servers to install it."
"If I run an application, I need it to show up in Microsoft, so Microsoft can run in Ubuntu. It needs to connect better with Microsoft products."
