Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Long-term ticket management has become straightforward and supports efficient incident handling
The best feature of BMC Remedy is that you can easily understand all the features in it as they are not complicated. When you click on new incident, all the fields are self-explanatory regarding what is required to be put in the work details node section assigned to chrome. These are all pretty easy to understand, and nothing much training is required for a person to start working on BMC Remedy.

Has an easy initial setup process, but its stability needs improvement
We use the product for asset management The product’s stability needs improvement. We have been using Micro Focus ZENworks Asset Management for two years. I rate the product's stability an eight out of ten. It could be better.  Our organization has around 50-100 Micro Focus ZENworks Asset…

Pros

"The thing I appreciate most about Automation Anywhere is how integrated the aspects of it are."
"Some of the really impactful features of working with Automation Anywhere are the ability to design and partner with their experts to come up with our solutions."
"The return on investment from Automation Anywhere at our organization has been both tangible and intangible, delivering value far beyond the initial financial calculation."
"Business users utilize Bot Insight dashboards to get analysis."
"This boosts the customer confidence and experience. When the customer experience increases, obviously sales will increase."
"The development tools are very good. It's very user-friendly and easy to develop and deploy with Automation Anywhere. Ordinary people, within a few weeks, can develop a bot using the tool."
"The best part about A2019 is its ease of use. You don't need to be a coding champ or an expert to use and implement A2019 in automating tasks. It's very easy to learn, tweak, and implement in your day-to-day tasks, especially features like capture/record is completely marvelous."
"Automation Anywhere's most valuable features include its end-to-end capabilities within a single platform. It offers desktop automation, unattended automation, a recorder for tasks, and advanced IDP capability, which means that I can handle everything from basic cutting and pasting to advanced use cases. With Automation Anywhere, I don't need multiple other tools to automate end-to-end processes. I only need one additional chatbot tool, assuming conversational AI is part of the solution. If I don't have chatbots, all the capabilities are built into the platform."
"There are a lot of features a customer can use. It’s an existing concept of asset management. One feature is the ability to create tickets for various computer systems, VPN defenses, sites, regions, or customers."
"It is a stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The solution is extremely user-friendly."
"We can create our own profile in BMC Remedy, track how many tickets we've closed on a daily basis, monitor how many SLAs we've escalated, and see how many tickets we've received daily."
"BMC Remedy Asset Management is scalable and easy to do."
"BMC Remedy Asset Management is pretty easy for quite a lot of functions."
"The most valuable BMC Remedy Asset Management are the dashboards and reports for the CIO."
"As for advice on using BMC Remedy for the first time, I would advise that you should go ahead with BMC Remedy as it is a user-friendly and cost-effective product."
"It is a scalable product."

Cons

"The setup process is not easy compared to the competition, and this can be a barrier to entry."
"Excel functionalities, the macro interface can be improved in the next release of RPA platform Automation Anywhere."
"Right now, we are using a VM with Automation Anywhere installed inside it, but it would be nice if the solution could be used on macOS."
"Automation Anywhere could benefit from a more technical focus."
"The solution is costly and the licensing is very confusing."
"Instead of depending on other open-source BPM products, AA should provide their own BPM for attended automations."
"Extracting customer addresses from Google that are not in a standard URL format is a challenge for Automation Anywhere."
"Integrations should be included with the analytics platforms and third-party SAP, enterprise-level applications, as well as if there are any built-in connectors where you can connect with the ERPs to automate the required teams."
"Integration and deployment could be better. It could be easier and faster to integrate and deploy. It would also help if we could have a 360-degree view. It would be better if they changed it to a SaaS type of offering, which is becoming the standard."
"The tool is very old."
"The desktop technicians face some challenges with the solution."
"It was hard to get reports unless by contacting the developer."
"I would like to have more customized reporting because the management team loves customized reports with graphs."
"There are issues from a product functionality perspective."
"BMC Remedy Asset Management could improve by adding intuitive dashboards."
"The UI is quite outdated."
"The product’s stability needs improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I'm not sure what the monthly licensing cost is, as that is taken care of by another team, but I would say it's around $100,000."
"I advise others that even as of right now, the setup cost and licensing cost to automate bots on Automation Anywhere is steep but it is worth the investment!"
"Automation Anywhere is affordable."
"If you look at the capital expenditure, Automation Anywhere is number two to UiPath. But if you take a long-term view, on a scalable model of a large number of bots coming out, it slowly goes on to become the costliest tool. There is something they can do about that. The capital expenditure goes out right at the point of buying the tool. For Automation Anywhere, I would need to spend $20,000. UiPath can give me something for $6,000, while Blue Prism will come in at $300,000."
"We were paying approximately $30,000 for a year license."
"I would rate the price of Automation Anywhere a six out of ten, with ten being the most expensive."
"The pricing model can be a bit more flexible."
"The price is very reasonable."
"The pricing is in-between. It's not too cheap, and it's not too expensive. For a large organization, it's worth it. But for a smaller one, it might be a bit costly."
"BMC should decrease the pricing further."
"I find the pricing to be reasonable."
"BMC no longer sells Remedy separately. They've transitioned to selling the BMC Helix platform. Remedy itself is nearing end-of-support."
"With the product, you can either go for a yearly or a perpetual licensing model."
"The licensing model of BMC Remedy Asset Management should improve. It is expensive and it is difficult to understand."
"The product is costly. On one to ten points, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the product's price as nine."
"Pricing is expensive compared to lower-end solutions, but it's on par with ServiceNow."
"The product has reasonable pricing."
