Accommodates large meetings with up to 500 participants, and I find it pretty intuitive and user-friendly
As per company policy, most internal meetings happen through Google Meet, but for large-scale meetings with more than 500 participants, we use BlueJeans Meetings. It's more like a broadcast meeting platform, which Google Meet doesn't allow The main advantage is the ability to host large meetings…

Utilizing versatile features for efficient personal and work meetings
Zoom offers a number of interesting and valuable features. One of the most interesting is the ability to share only audio and provide ambient music without sharing a screen. The breakout room feature is much more developed than other solutions, allowing users to stay in the same meeting and move to different rooms and back to the main room. The sharing features are great for projecting people who should be in focus. Another valuable feature is the virtual entrance, which uses a username and password recognized by the Zoom system, showing the person's full name and ID. Additionally, the use of video and a good fixed background improves visibility compared to other applications. These features differentiate Zoom from others.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is really easy and there are no complicated graphics or icons. It is simple and has an intuitive design. It's user-friendly over anything else I have used."
"The quality of both audio and video is good."
"It is available in all flavors. You can use it in the browser, and you can use it on an Android phone for which a BlueJeans app is available. I use an Android phone, so I only know about Android. So, you can join a meeting from the application installed on your phone or from the mobile browser, or you can use it from a laptop or a PC."
"The main advantage is the ability to host large meetings with up to 500 participants. The sound quality is also better on BlueJeans. I find it pretty intuitive and user-friendly."
"The whiteboard capabilities are great."
"It was easy to use for screen sharing or sharing applications."
"The main benefit is that it allows us to easily connect and collaborate, even in areas with less reliable internet."
"I've been on a call with around a thousand students. So, it was quite scalable."
"The product's initial setup phase was easy."
"I rate Zoom as a seven out of ten. This is because it is much easier to use than Microsoft Teams."
"The initial setup is very simple."
"Zoom is easy to use."

Cons

"Screen sharing is available but there is no feature for remote access, to take control of another machine."
"BlueJeans doesn't allow as much customization of your background in a video call, so that could be improved."
"Its cost is very high. If you sell it in India, which is a price-conscious market, the prices should be as per the market competition. You cannot charge the rates that are applicable in the US. They should tailor it to the local market. It should be in line with what the competition is offering."
"I haven't had any big challenges. The annotation feature should be improved. So if I need to mark something or point something out, it's there, but it's not that user friendly. Other than that it's fine. In terms of collaboration, I think there could be some improvement."
"You can use Teams more to collaborate with your coworkers. I think Zoom could add some of these features in addition to simple video conferencing."
"The technical support is very bad."
"Zoom could be improved by adding more third-party integrations. They should also work on their virtual backgrounds. I think these could be more professional and creative."
"I found it very confusing to set up a meeting."
"The solution needs to have a feature that allows you to take over another person's screen. right now, that's not possible. This is important for our purposes due to the act that we are often using the solution to troubleshoot issues for our clients. If we could just take over their screen and go in and fix issues, it would make troubleshooting infinitely easier."
"The solution could be a bit more user-friendly."
"Our licensing model prevents us from switching off the meeting recording functionality"
"Zoom's user interface could be improved. For example, it could have bigger buttons for elderly people."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I once tried buying it for myself, but it was very costly. It is quite expensive as compared to other solutions. With BlueJeans, there are carrier charges if you call the toll-free number. The customer doesn't pay for the call, but the buyer or the subscriber of BlueJeans has to pay for it. That is where BlueJeans becomes very costly, and that is where Google, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom are very helpful because you don't have to pay these charges."
"We have an annual subscription to the solution. The price could be reduced."
"There is a free version of Zoom which allows you a certain limited amount of time usage and there is a corporate version of the solution where you have to pay."
"As an organization, we are paying a license fee for Zoom. Personally, I use the free version."
"There is some basic functionality that's free but if you want to host longer meetings and have more participants, then there is a licensing fee."
"We are using the free version of Zoom."
"We do not incur a licensing fee."
"I use the free version that is available, so I'm not sure what the licensing prices are."
"The free version has a time limit, but paid subscriptions are available."
