A testing platform with a good API for apps, but pricing is complicated
I like that the AI Testbot is a near-zero code application for testing. For this use case, the function is good. The services are robust. Game testing and the API for apps are also good. From the perspective of pricing, licensing, ease of use, integration with other applications, impact complexity, and integration with other tools, we're pretty much very satisfied.

Used for integration automation, user-based automation, and web automation
The solution's most valuable features are the drag-and-drop feature, keyword-driven approach, and reusability of the scripts. The solution has introduced a new feature that helps us identify objects we cannot normally identify. It gives you a fair idea of objects, resolving the object recognition issue. The solution can be used to perform different tests on different machines.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Ability to use different frameworks."
"The overall product is awesome for device fragmentation, but not for automation."
"Game testing and the API for apps are good."
"Regressions and Smoke was done manually in the past, which has been replaced by Automated Testing."
"It's cross platform automation capabilities specially ranging across web, UNIX (via putty), and other systems."
"The reporting is ready to use and doesn't require any setup."
"The most valuable features of the SmartBear TestComplete are self-healing, they reduce the maintenance required. The different languages SmartBear TestComplete supports are good because some of our libraries are written in Python, JavaScript, and C#. It's very easy to put them all under one project and use them. The are other features that SmartBear TestComplete has but the competition widely has them as well."
"With TestComplete, I can discover bugs faster and easier than testing manually."
"TestComplete has strong reporting capabilities. The reports they generate are really good."
"The solution is great as a record and playback tool. It also has valuable regression testing."
"The ability to run a whole suite of tests automatically (which we did overnight)."

Cons

"Their pricing structure is complicated and can be improved."
"Lacking capability options that can be directly integrated."
"Some stages of its automation is not working correctly and I need to make changes in the code created by Testdroid."
"The tool sometimes seems a little unstable and crashes sometimes on Windows 10."
"The web testing framework of TestComplete is not very helpful for an Automation Engineer; it requires the same effort as Selenium, and in most cases, Selenium proves to be a better testing tool for web-based testing."
"Occasionally, image comparison results in failures, possibly due to issues with resolution or font size on the server side, which can be challenging to identify."
"Memory consumption Speed of interaction with controls Sets of prepared libraries like asserts Templates of tests from scratch"
"A test case design (schema) module would be nice."
"Headless testing would be a big improvement."
"During the distribution of our regression test cases, the control IDs are not always recognized correctly."
"LoadComplete could be a little more user-friendly, but is still better than LoginVSI."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is complicated. It's in the middle."
"The pricing is a little above average — it could be lower."
"Overall, for us, the cost of the TestComplete platform and the three extra modules is around $8,000."
"It costs a few hundred per year, but I am not sure. It is not at all expensive as compared to other tools."
"SmartBear TestComplete is an expensive tool."
"It is approximately $6,000 a year."
"It comes with a high cost."
"Buy modules on demand. If you have a four-person team and they will each automate tests only 25% of the time, it's better to buy a floating licence and share the tool during the work day."
"TestComplete now have come up with three modules (Web, Desktop & Mobile), so based on the type of product for automation, it is adequate to purchase the required module."
