Pre-built adapters simplify CI/CD processes but monitoring improvements are needed
If Bamboo can provide a dashboard with tool health, such as whether the master or instance has the required space, it would be beneficial. Sometimes, when I trigger a build, it ends with no space on the agent machine where the agents are installed. If Bamboo can create an internal monitoring mechanism and display the tool's health status on the landing page or homepage, it would help end users and DevOps Engineers like me.

I am generally satisfied with the talent management capabilities in Oracle HCM Cloud, but as I mentioned, there are certain pages that really lag sometimes and there are a lot of bugs in talent management. Before, when it had a responsive UI, it was fine, but after it switched to Redwood, I feel there are bugs, and the functionality stated in the documents is not accurate. It takes some time to get that feature, and we need to raise product SR or ask in the community how it works. It's not easily understandable, especially in the talent management area. One potential area of improvement for Oracle HCM Cloud is that it lags. It takes time to reflect the pages, and the loading time now requires us to wait for the page to load. Earlier, we used to click and see the page immediately. However, now we need to wait for it to get loaded, which can be frustrating when working in a fast mode.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Honestly, all of the features are valuable to me."
"The most valuable feature for us is the time off request; it is very practical and useful."
"I can easily go to BambooHR to search for any staff member in the company."
"The time-off tracking tool has made vacation policies simple."
"BambooHR has streamlined our new hire process by setting deadlines for the new hire and the hiring manager, and the new hire gets introduced to the whole staff before they start."
"It is a great HR product for your business."
"The solution's technical support is super responsive and helpful. I rate the technical support a ten out of ten."
"It provides one place to document all employee information; no Excel tables are needed anymore."
"Pricing is competitive."
"It is very user-friendly, and most of the UI is very intuitive so you don't need to follow a course to use it, with one single UI regardless of your roles so you don't have to log into separate applications depending on whether you're HR or just a normal employee."
"Compared to earlier, older versions, HCM Cloud has built-in business intelligence and reporting capabilities, and not just transactional, providing actual analytic capabilities that are pretty good, and on the accounts tables side it has built-in document image capturing tools so there is no need to rely on third-party products anymore."
"This solution is valuable because it's robust and very dependable."
"I would recommend Oracle HCM Cloud to others."
"The best feature of the product is the middleware where it allows you to create a project and all the required and the optional tasks come pre-configured."
"This is a very comprehensive solution, covering every aspect of the HCM profit cycle and the life cycle."
"The solution's scalability potential is very good, and we have more than 1,000 users ourselves."

Cons

"Days off to be redeemed do not appear when a user cancels the days when people are off."
"It is a great price in terms of quality, but once you start adding payroll and benefits, it starts getting pricy."
"We have had scalability issues. It is not ideal for companies operating in multiple regions."
"It would be useful to have the possibility to assign a task to the different users within the software."
"It would be good to include more options for approvals and workflows. They are deliberately not the most sophisticated version of anything that they do, but it is like 80/20. They hit the vast majority of all the needs, but I have started to run up against the limits of their functionality. It has forced me to start paying attention to the marketplace or sending feedback to BambooHR. Clients are still happy though. Timesheets is a new area in which they're slowly expanding. It is currently very limited, but it meets the needs of standard nine-to-five salary employees who just want to be able to key in their time, have it approved, and then pushed off to payroll. It does not have any of the bells and whistles that an hourly employee or hourly worker might need. That is one area that is currently limited, but they have integrations with some of the best companies that do that."
"However, if we compare the accrual balance days from Bamboo versus real days, sometimes we have to reconcile it by manual adjustment."
"There are some areas of reporting that could be improved, as well as features and functions of the ATS/recruitment, as this is a newer function in general."
"We have encountered stability issues. The product can be unstable at times."
"Legal local legislation integration could improve."
"Learning Management on cloud is relatively new and has scope for improvement."
"Occasionally there are problems with stability."
"In some cases, the price may be lower depending on what is negotiated."
"The compensation module needs further automation."
"The solution could improve by having better integration between on-premise and the cloud. It can be difficult and time-consuming to migrate our applications and interfaces."
"The solutions could improve by having better performance. There are times when we have experienced some delays. The reports could be quicker."
"Oracle should have different bundles to provide access to courses. Then, we would be able to increase our knowledge on how to use Oracle applications."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the tool's pricing an eight out of ten."
"It was definitely cheaper than some of the larger systems."
"Price-wise, the solution is in the middle compared to other tools offering similar functionalities."
"We pay a monthly subscription to use the solution. The subscript model is based on how many employees we have active."
"There is a subscription to use this solution, and there can be additional fees."
"There is a license required for the use of this solution and we are on an annual license."
"The solution’s pricing is high."
"On an annual basis, we pay about $25,000 for our company. This includes the VAT, support, upgrades and everything else."
"On average, it's not a cheap solution."
"It has a licensing cost. It has a cloud-based subscription, which is quite cheap."
"It is definitely super expensive. Oracle is very, very expensive for what they offer."
"The pricing is reasonable."
