Pre-built adapters simplify CI/CD processes but monitoring improvements are needed
If Bamboo can provide a dashboard with tool health, such as whether the master or instance has the required space, it would be beneficial. Sometimes, when I trigger a build, it ends with no space on the agent machine where the agents are installed. If Bamboo can create an internal monitoring mechanism and display the tool's health status on the landing page or homepage, it would help end users and DevOps Engineers like me.

I am generally satisfied with the talent management capabilities in Oracle HCM Cloud, but as I mentioned, there are certain pages that really lag sometimes and there are a lot of bugs in talent management. Before, when it had a responsive UI, it was fine, but after it switched to Redwood, I feel there are bugs, and the functionality stated in the documents is not accurate. It takes some time to get that feature, and we need to raise product SR or ask in the community how it works. It's not easily understandable, especially in the talent management area. One potential area of improvement for Oracle HCM Cloud is that it lags. It takes time to reflect the pages, and the loading time now requires us to wait for the page to load. Earlier, we used to click and see the page immediately. However, now we need to wait for it to get loaded, which can be frustrating when working in a fast mode.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I like that it keeps everything easily accessible, from signed documents to outlines of our benefits plans, etc. It is really a one-stop shop."
"The tool's most valuable features are the recruitment module, performance module, and document storage."
"The time-off tracking tool has made vacation policies simple."
"The most valuable feature for us is the time off request; it is very practical and useful."
"Bamboo has a vast number of pre-built adapters which can be used as plug and play components."
"It is a great HR product for your business."
"BambooHR is accessible to users who aren't good with technology. If you don't have an IT background, you can easily find information about any employee."
"BambooHR has streamlined our new hire process by setting deadlines for the new hire and the hiring manager, and the new hire gets introduced to the whole staff before they start."
"The most valuable feature is fast reporting."
"The solution's most valuable features are all the human resources aspects and access management, as well as the talent review. The solution's talent management is very, very good."
"The most valuable feature is the support for mobile devices."
"We haven't had a single issue with stability, and we've been using it for more than three years."
"The initial setup or implementation process of the solution is fine. The deployment process took place in two days. So, once one has the runbook and everything in place, it is not that difficult."
"The solution has good integration with other applications."
"Job postings and links to job boards are very helpful for talent acquisition."
"Oracle is a strong option for purchasing or procurement."

Cons

"There can be stability issues. It is not a good system for more than 100 employees."
"The system allows to book vacation and sick day at the same time. There should be a warning in case somebody overlooks it."
"Specifically, I work for 2 managers. In my profile, our administrator wasn’t able to add 2 managers."
"The only thing that could have been added is better integration with local payroll systems or a local Canadian payroll module."
"BambooHR could be improved by managing leave in a way that transfers remaining days at the end of the annual year to the following year."
"The performance could be improved. When you save some documents, it takes longer to store them in BambooHR's systems than it used to. Something needs to be upgraded or fixed in the code. Alow, we provide services to other companies, so Bamboo isn't able to help us in many areas because of the way we work."
"If Bamboo can provide a dashboard with tool health, such as whether the master or instance has the required space, it would be beneficial."
"We recommend to have your own payroll integration as per GCC norms."
"Learning Management on cloud is relatively new and has scope for improvement."
"The solution has much room for improvement in all the modules."
"The tool should allow more customization for specific requirements. Some processes could be streamlined, and certain features in specific modules must be added."
"Integration. We still have Oracle E-Business Suite in other business areas, so integration of HCM Cloud into it would be an improvement."
"The performance and reaction time can be improved."
"From the feedback that I get, the functional side of the payroll could be improved."
"Lacks relevancy for the current generation."
"There are a lot of bugs in talent management. Before, when it had a responsive UI, it was fine, but after it switched to Redwood, I feel there are bugs, and the functionality stated in the documents is not accurate."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Price-wise, the solution is in the middle compared to other tools offering similar functionalities."
"It was definitely cheaper than some of the larger systems."
"We pay a monthly subscription to use the solution. The subscript model is based on how many employees we have active."
"I rate the tool's pricing an eight out of ten."
"On average, it's not a cheap solution."
"I am not normally involved in the product's pricing since it normally involves the packages that a user chooses. Pricing differs based on a case-to-case scenario and client-to-client basis."
"The is a license needed to use the solution. The license can be paid in different increments, such as quarterly."
"Licensing fees are on a yearly basis."
"Oracle HCM Cloud is pricey, but price-wise, it's now more competitive than in the past year. Here in Central Europe, people also look at the pricing, but Central Europe falls under the UAE and Abu Dhabi in terms of headquarters, management, and strategy, but those states don't care too much about the pricing. Pricing is a significant factor in choosing a solution. In the past, Oracle HCM Cloud was compared to the SAP solution, the largest competitor and up to thirty percent higher in price. Now, Oracle HCM Cloud has a price increase of five to ten percent, which could be pricier than SAP now, but it's a more competitive product nowadays and comparable to SAP."
"Though I cannot comment on the solution's cost, a fixed cost is involved based on my understanding. The cost multiplies based on the number of users."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten."
"It has a licensing cost. It has a cloud-based subscription, which is quite cheap."
