Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It supports AKS and other projects like Kubernetes or EKS.""The solution's support and its automation tool that ensures we are secure and appropriately configured are the most valuable features of Azure Red Hat OpenShift.""The most valuable features of the solution are accessibility and scalability.""It has a feature to automatically scale up or scale down. If my application is running in peak hours, it will automatically increase.""In Kubernetes, when traffic goes out of a pod, it has to have its own IP address. Every service that's going out requires another IP. But with OpenShift, you don't have to deal with any of those IPs because they use NAT.""I would rate the scalability an eight out of ten."

"The solution's technical support is really good.""The APEX solution is the most interesting part of the Oracle Developer Service. APEX is the most cost-effective and most popular service for developers. Kubernetes and Docker services are also important and very much cost-effective, and helpful for developers. If we compare Oracle to other cloud services providers, they'll also be cost-effective. The financial involvement is also a good point because other cloud services charge for Docker and Kubernetes solutions. Oracle's offering is almost free. They only charge for the VM or virtual machine. This is also an interesting part for the developers as well."

Cons
"Azure Red Hat OpenShift's support should be improved.""Automation could be improved.""They need to improve the core licensing model.""One of the things to notice is that this product can be expensive.""The product is expensive.""There is room for improvement in terms of orchestration. While Azure orchestration offers valuable features, it's worth noting that it may not match the level of orchestration provided by Kubernetes itself."

"t would be better if the open-source databases were managed. Some managed services for open-source databases are available in other cloud solutions, but Oracle doesn't have any. They should provision more managed services for open-source databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL. These types of managed database services should be available in Oracle Cloud Service and others. There are other technical issues like the CDN network that is not directly configured to Oracle and needs support from a third party. There are also some services available in AWS and Azure that should be included in Oracle Cloud Service.""Improvements are needed in terms of the usage of the map chart and risk management services."
