Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We can scale as needed.""The most valuable feature is the security that these switches provide.""The most valuable features of Aruba Switches are the use of use and user-friendliness.""The most valuable feature is that it's very easy to configure.""The most valuable feature is the switches are reliable and replaced for free if anything goes wrong.""The most valuable feature is the Aruba Smart Rate Port.""Very easy and quick to setup and provide a nice dashboard providing a view of everything.""Aruba offers better options when it comes to the area of scalability compared to what Cisco offers. Aruba has a better graphical user interface that helps users with the configuration part."

"My work is able to continue because the switches are reliable.""The most valuable feature is that we can configure the security to suit our needs.""The product is great for networking.""This solution is stable it runs without any interruptions.""The solution is reliable.""Cisco's product is excellent and highly stable with decades of experience in switching and technology. It's a top-notch solution when your entire network operates within the Cisco ecosystem, allowing for a wide range of capabilities. However, the challenge with Cisco lies in its prioritization. When integrating with third-party solutions, like Juniper, it can be somewhat challenging, but it still performs reasonably well. Setting up Cisco switches is not a straightforward process; it's complex and requires more than simply powering them on and figuring things out as you go. You need a solid understanding of switch and stack configuration because Cisco has its unique software features. Cisco excels in vendor lock-in, meaning that if you want to combine Cisco switches with non-Cisco functionality, it can be both time-consuming and costly. While Cisco offers the most extensive capabilities, it can also be less flexible and more challenging when you want to deviate from the Cisco ecosystem.""The scalability is great.""Ability to expand connections."

"You willuse almost every feature on every switch to some degree because the utility is valuable.""The most valuable feature is switching on our network.""In terms of performance, Juniper switches have a more user-friendly interface and more features than Cisco products.""It's pretty good as compared to other vendors.""The GUI interface distinguishes it from other vendors and makes it easy to operate.""The product is very helpful in troubleshooting.""It is stable.""Junos OS is extremely flexible and easy to pick up."

Cons
"Aruba's switches are older so I'd like to see more upgrades. The newer ones may have that built-in. The product could be more user-friendly.""If we compare Aruba and Cisco at the data center layer, Cisco has its Nexus switch. Aruba provides the new 10000 series, but it does not compare with the Nexus switch.""I'm not sure if they have the core switch series as well.""I think that the performance is getting better but they need to have more powerful switches on the market so that they can capture medium and large businesses.""The need to come up with a bit more flexibility in their range of models.""Aruba Switches' price could improve, if they were less expensive it would be beneficial.""The initial setup is relatively complex.""This product could be improved with additional security features."

More Aruba Switches Cons →

"The manageability could be improved.""Cisco Linksys Ethernet Switches should improve its pricing.""I would like to see more manageability. That's primarily the reason why Linksys switches don't work in the enterprise space. They don't have the management and capabilities of other switches.""Linksys switches are expensive but scalable.""We are expecting one software that can run across all of Cisco hardware, software, and Cisco Switch router, similar to what Juniper has.""The sales support could improve, they are not supplying the solution on time. For some projects, we have had to wait many months.""The installation could be simplified.""Cisco Linksys Ethernet Switches’s stability and pricing needs improvement."

More Cisco Linksys Ethernet Switches Cons →

"Juniper EX Series could improve the process and ease of updating the software. It is a difficult process.""The operating system, Junos OS, often has bugs which forces rollbacks or additional upgrades to resolve.""We are undergoing a migration to software-defined networking. Different vendors have to integrate with each other and we are not seeing this type of capability within Juniper. We are getting left behind in this technology trend by staying with this solution. Juniper is also losing a bit of market share because of this.""Its distribution channel and the ease of availability should be improved.""The stability could be better. We find, for example, Cisco, to be more stable.""Has a steep learning curve.""One potential drawback of the Juniper EX Series has been that those without experience using a command-line interface (CLI) may find it intimidating. However, Junos is working on improving this by offering tools, such as Juniper Mist with Wired Assurance and Apstra. Additionally, the graphical user interface (GUI) could be improved as it has been considered lackluster across the board in Junos.""The difficulty of the installation of Juniper Ethernet Switches depends on the environment it is being implemented in. It is fairly straightforward in terms of being able to source the technical information as we need it. However, this process could improve."

    Overview

Aruba Switches is a network creation solution that enables users to easily manage every aspect of their networks.

    Benefits of Aruba Switches

Some of the benefits of using Aruba switches include:

    • Easily access and manage every aspect of your networks. Aruba Switches give users a way to control their networks from a centralized location. The simplified control center can be accessed through both the cloud and on-premises devices. Intuitively view and manage every portion of your networks. You will be able to both analyze and control every device and client in the network while at the same time conserving resources for the areas of greatest concern.
    • Troubleshoot and upgrade your networks quickly and efficiently. Aruba Switches give users network visibility in real-time. It combines this with powerful analytics software that allow for the prediction, prevention, and resolution of issues. This allows administrators to act before their systems suffer serious harm. Additionally, Aruba Switches allow systems to maintain a high level of performance even during upgrading.
    • Automatically enact uniform system-wide changes. Aruba Switches gives users the ability to set their systems to automatically reconfigure when changes are necessary. Users are empowered to ensure that their systems run smoothly without worrying that there are parts of their network that are out of sync, reserving manpower and time for more pressing needs.

    Reviews from Real Users

Aruba Switches are cutting-edge network creation tools that stand out among their competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are the warranty that guarantees them and the intuitive way in which they are designed. Aruba Switches are protected by lifetime warranties. If a switch malfunctions or is rendered inoperable, it can be quickly replaced. If the line of switches are still available, HPE will send the user the necessary replacement. Aruba Switches are built to be intuitive for users to customize and manipulate. This allows users to make full use of the solution without requiring them to devote a significant level of resources to training.

The head of technical support at a real estate law firm writes, “One valuable feature about HP is the warranty. All switches are very similar when it comes to most functionalities. Most switches provide a one-year warranty, but with HPE switches, if there's a unit that malfunctions, we call them and they replace it the next business day if that line is still available. We had a switch we reported the other day, it was a 25-10, which we procured way back, around 2014, and they replaced it. In general, HP provides a lot of support for its products. We will be doing some tinkering on the VLAN soon, first the layer two, and then connecting the layer three functionalities for some other departments. The advantage of Aruba compared to other switches is their reliability. If the product is trustworthy, I'll continue to use it.”

A network systems engineer at a financial services firm writes, “Their technical support is great. I have used Cisco products, and as compared to Cisco, Aruba's command-line syntax is not as complex. The command-line interface of Aruba switches is quite intuitive. It also has a graphical user interface. With Cisco, using the graphical user interface for configuration can be complex, whereas Aruba simplifies it, and you can easily use the graphical user interface. The configuration is secured. Their graphical user interface is quite robust.”
