Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automation has transformed complex contract lifecycles and now supports high-volume workflows
The only drawback of Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) is that it does not work for small-scale business areas because I have implemented it for one customer with four or five pages of templates and three to four record types. For that small business, Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) does not work well because it is a bit complicated. Sometimes all customers need is a click of a button to go in and do things, and Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) is a bit complicated for such kinds of businesses. There are definitely areas where Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) could be easier to use for smaller businesses, particularly making processes more streamlined and user-friendly.

Our contracts are moving from draft to full authorization significantly faster now
* The redline function isn’t sufficiently robust. Our clients struggle with the tool during negotiation. * The search feature needs to be a bit more robust, to facilitate complex search functions. * Integration with our ERP system (and other systems) needs to be enabled. SpringCM reports that they are working on all of these items and that they are integrated into their roadmap.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Automation Anywhere has positively impacted my organization by providing a lot of hours and dollars saved for many business teams across the company, and it helps spark ideas for people to look at their own business processes and learn how to automate them from end to end."
"We are able to sell it very easily compared to its competitors. Another piece is the stability part. The third piece is something which is the customer experience: The ease to work with it. The Automation Anywhere, as a partner, is very easy to work with. They are there when you need them, whether you are in the initial journey of automation, you are figuring out what is the right opportunity, or whether you are in the journey of deploying the bot or support. They are there with you at each of those stages."
"Automation Anywhere's most valuable feature is its seamless integration into procurement software, allowing for the automation of purchase orders, billing, employee travel details, and other tasks."
"I consider the verification station very useful because it allows you to quickly check if the data extracted are correct or if you need to change the process."
"Automation Anywhere's error handling is its most valuable feature. It sends you an email when there's an error and helps you find the cause quickly. It walks you through exactly how you should handle it."
"Automation Anywhere stands out because it has brought productivity to the organization, improved customer service, accelerated business growth, and allowed for faster innovation."
"The most valuable features of this solution are its scalability, security using the credential vault, and ease of use for business."
"I like all of the product features, but I mostly like to work with IQ Bots because they have cognitive automation capabilities."
"The clarity and smooth process provided by Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) have greatly impacted my team and business."
"Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) has positively impacted my organization by significantly decreasing the time required for generating contracts and agreements for customers."
"Because of these processes, the customer can send out thousands of contracts in one go instead of creating them and having a lot of people appointed to do this job, and it is a one-person job now."
"The main benefits I have seen from using Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) are that we use it as a discount platform in a huge project for different customers or accounts across the world."
"Overall, Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) helped streamline contract creation, approval, execution, and renewal processes while reducing manual effort and improving compliance."
"The overall process of contract review, which used to take at least two weeks, has reduced to a couple of days now, including all the communications and internal discussions, representing a huge improvement."
"A 25% to 40% reduction in standard agreements is what we have achieved, and the centralized repository also improved the reporting on contract renewals and expiration and helped the team to identify and address those bottlenecks more quickly."
"Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) has positively impacted my organization by reducing team time and enhancing the quality of documents I share with customers, allowing me to make changes in quotes and orders with just one click."
"Our contracts are moving through the process, from draft to full authorization, 340 percent faster than they did last year."

Cons

"We have had so many stability issues."
"Although Automation Anywhere is a GUI-based platform with drag-and-drop functionality, non-technical business users struggle to implement it due to the complexities of operationalizing automation within a business context."
"If I want to do something that is more purely business-related and is somewhat complex to write or is nuanced, I sometimes have trouble implementing that inside of the Automation Anywhere script. I feel limited at times with some of the looping and some of the branching and some of the ways to make procedure calls when I have a complex business issue."
"If it had the ability to make decisions in complex situations, the bot would perform more smoothly. More advanced decision-making skills are needed for improvement."
"We want to have greater control on deciding when we want to upgrade to a newer version"
"The Automation Anywhere community is less active than the UiPath community, which is a downside. When I ask questions in the Automation Anywhere community, responses take a longer time."
"I would like to have a bot as a service platform on AA Cloud. This would minimize the installation process, and we wouldn't need to have all the hardware to support the platform in-house."
"We have had some difficulty with ease of use. In addition, we have had some difficulties getting it to interact in predictable ways with our in-house software."
"I chose a nine because sometimes I feel that opening Conga Composer feels a bit heavy, and occasionally I need to refer to additional documents to complete specific tasks, which is the only reason preventing a perfect score."
"The user interface can sometimes feel complex for new users and may require additional training."
"Sometimes I feel that the generation of templates in Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) is slow or it breaks somewhere."
"I chose a rating of seven out of ten because there are many areas for improvement for Conga; it is not a complete solution yet."
"I cannot say Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) is stable. Sometimes it throws some issues."
"Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) can sometimes feel slow, so I think additional strong real-time collaboration tools during negotiation and smoother integration with non-sales systems would also be helpful."
"Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) can be improved because implementation can be complex, and the loading process could be enhanced."
"The first is ease of configuration. Some advanced workflows and business rules can be complex to set up and maintain, especially for organizations with unique contract processes."
"The redline function isn’t sufficiently robust. Our clients struggle with the tool during negotiation."
"The redline function isn’t sufficiently robust. Our clients struggle with the tool during negotiation. Also, the search feature needs to be a bit more robust, to facilitate complex search functions. Finally, integration with our ERP system (and other systems) needs to be enabled. SpringCM reports that they are working on all of these items."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"As far as costs, it depends on your use. We started with a basic department pack, which is over 10K. The additional costs depend on the scale of the engagement and how it pans out. We customize to our needs on the go."
"I don't deal have cost specifics but I can say it is a tool that provides value for the money."
"I would rate the price of Automation Anywhere a six out of ten, with ten being the most expensive."
"The licensing cost is approximately $4,000 USD, which is a seed license."
"Based on what I've heard, it's costly, but I don't know much about its pricing."
"The Automation Anywhere license is affordable and not complex."
"The pricing is a bit higher."
"I believe it is $10,000 for Bot Creator."
